Empty Night

"A lesson I'm still in the process of learning."

His lips quirked upwards as his eyes met hers, keeping her gaze as his thumbs brushed against her hips over her clothes.

His lips moved against hers softly, parting slightly as she nipped one.

She let her hands slip to his shoulder, gripping them softly.

A small smile twitched at the corner of her mouth, she'd gotten what she wanted now.

She licked his bottom lip and kissed him again, her hand running up to stroke his neck softly.

And that's how you tame a wolf, she thought with a soft smile.

He returned the kiss, hands gripping her hips a little tighter.

His head tilting back slightly when he felt the touch to his neck and a low purr rumbled in his throat.

Alexis smiled and leaned down to kiss his neck softly before biting down on the soft tanned skin, the bite was firm without being painful, making sure her fangs did not touch his neck at all.

She looked at the now docile wolf with a soft chuckle and pulled herself way from him. Alexis rose to her feet teasingly, adjusting her dress and leaning against a nearby tree.

"There that's your reward, I've earned my freedom."
She said with a smirk, watching for his reaction.

He watched her silently and she stood and loped over towards a tree.

The man pushed himself up onto his elbows and grinned at her.

"That was playing on me being a man, not me being a wolf. Cheating." He stuck his tongue out at her with a grin.

"Would the big bad wolf have wanted a scratch behind the ears instead?"

She questioned as her hands crossed loosely against her chest.
She grinned down at him, savoring her small victory over him.

"I'll keep that in mind next time I have to escape from your clutch."

He snorted a laugh.

"I'm definitely going to have to work on clipping those claws of yours, kitty-cat. They're lethal."

His eyes flickered over her silently as he relaxed, elbows keeping him up.

Alexis giggled softly and examined her hands, eying her nails mockingly.

"You're more than welcome to try but I don't like your chances."

She looked down at him, her lips curling into a smirk.

"I like slim chances; more of a challenge and far more rewarding when I do beat the odds."

He stuck his tongue out again.

Maccon, who had been sat watching the two of them silently, padded up to Alexis with a quiet yap, nudging her leg with a cold, wet nose.

"That's assuming you can beat the odds."
She replied, raising an eyebrow at him.

Alexis' eyes looked away from Aodh for the first time since he had tried to annoy her and glanced down at Maccon.

"Sorry sweety have we been ignoring you?"
She cooed to the dog, stroking behind her ears softly.

He grinned cockily. "Of course."

He'd be damned if he couldn't clip the claws of one woman.

The husky yapped loudly, jumping up to press her paw against the woman's chest to try and lick at her face.

She looked back up at Aodh and shook her head softly.

"Good luck."

She leaned down, balancing on the balls of her feet so she could be face to face with the husky.

"You jealous, you want a kiss too?"
She chuckled softly, letting the dog lick her cheek.

Maccon gave another yap, tongue lapping over the woman's face.

Her tail was beating the air fiercely as she whined and yapped between licking Alexis' face and neck.

Aodh watched the woman and dog interact with a small smile.

Alexis chuckled and pulled the dog in for a hug, stroking her back softly.

She rose to her feet and walked back over to Aodh, sitting down across from him and pulling Maccon into her lap, scratching under her chin softly.

She whispered to the husky, loud enough for the lycan to hear her.
"Maybe you should be the one teaching your master to behave properly, not the other way around."

She said, glancing at him with a soft chuckle.

Aodh made an amused noise as Maccon yapped, curling in the woman's lap.

"She's known me for five years; if her good behaviour would have rubbed off on me, it would have done so sooner."

He grinned at the vampire.

Alexis stroked the dog absent mindedly as she looked back at Aodh.

"That is a shame then, I suppose bad habits die hard when they have had over a millennium to set in."

She replied, smiling back at him.

"Yupp."

He grinned widely, showing of his straight white teeth. "It's a shame Coilean beat the habit of walking around naked out of me."

Being the middle child of eighteen, he hadn't gotten any clothes of his own until he was well into his teens. And by then he hadn't really cared whether he wore clothes or not.

A grin spread widely over her lip, her eyes shining with amusement as she looked at him, eying his body.

"It is a shame indeed."

She said with a soft chuckle.

"If you were naked there would be the other 50% of your body to make fun of."

He laughed, shaking his head.

"One day you're going to shoot off a comment like that and scratch-marks'll actually appear on my body, kitty-cat."

He clicked his tongue. "See her off, Mac."

The dog yapped, barrelling the woman over, paws on her shoulders, tongue lolling out of her mouth, dribbling drool over her cheek.

She looked at him and grinned softly.

"One could only hope."
Alexis chuckled and wiped her drool covered face on her sleeve.

"A little less saliva next time Maccon, if you could be so kind."
She said with a laugh as she gave the dog a pat.

He chuckled softly.

In response to the woman's request, the dog let more saliva dribble from her open mouth.

She gave a yap as the woman pat her, nuzzling up into the touch.

Alexis' face scrunched up as more drool fell onto her but laughed it off, forcing herself back into a seated position and rubbing her face dry once again.

"Thanks."
She said, looking at the dog and shaking her head slightly.

Aodh laughed.

"Looks like I've been rubbing off on her instead of the other way around."

And now the dog liked the woman, she wasn't going to get away any time soon. She was stuck with them for the time being.

"You're a bad influence on her."
She replied, glaring at him playfully.

Alexis placed Maccon beside her so she could pet the animal without the fear of drowning in saliva.

The Lycan gave a wide grin.

"I'm a bad influence on everyone."

Maccon curled up next to the woman, settling her head in the vampire's lap, giving a loud yawn, tongue curling as her jaws opened wide.
