Lyo smiled and ruffled Tuzik's hair before setting up the film.

"Tub in bin when done," he ordered, kneeling down to fuss the hound.

"Be good dog. Will be back soon."

He felt a little guilty for leaving the Hound here again after he'd just got him back.

With one last scratch, Lyo stood and picked up his bag.

Alyosha had no need to feel guilty, that much should have been obvious by how comfortable and content Tuzik looked right now, he was ready for a quiet night in with treats and a movie.

He gave a happy whine as he was fussed, licking Lyo's hand affectionately.

"Be good."

He repeated with a nod.

"Good boy."

His gaze turned to Maks and his lips tipped upwards into a dry little smile.

"Ready?"

He was actually a little excited about being in the line of fire again after so long.

Maks' lips kicked up in a smirk that said they were going to be up to no good.

"Lets do this."

He replied with a chuckle as he zipped through the wall before poking his head back into the room.

"Hurry up."

He added with a laugh before flying into the garage.

"Shut up, I'm not as fast as your ghostly ass."

Lyo followed after the man's ghostly ass with a little grin, hoisting his bag up over his shoulder as he pulled his phone out of his pocket. He sent a quick text to Doc.

CHECKING OUT A B

Best warn Doc ahead of time.

Maks laughed all the way through the halls as Alyosha followed after him.

He was excited, he was suppressing it as best he could right now, distracting himself with the fun of a break and enter would do the trick.

"You've gotten unfit Lyo."

"Eight years not working in the mafia will do that to a person," the man replied carelessly.

It wasn't like he was trying to keep as fit as he used to. He didn't really have much of a reason to. His life wasn't at stake any more. He lived quite a pleasant life.

Lyo slid into his old car and threw the bag into the back seat.

"Lead the way, oh pasty assed one."

Maks laid out in the car looking more alive, work had been his life for a long time and working again excited him a little.

"Over by the cemetery there is a morgue and a funeral parlor, it's in there."

He didn't know street names so that was the best he had at the moment.

Didn't help that all the signs were in Italian.

"Right."

This late in the evening, there were only one or two card around. That suited Lyo just fine.

Less chance of being caught.

"You still remember everything about checking over a body?"

Maks was the one that was better with the medical shit on the job. Lyo could find a vein and bleed a fucker dry in under a minute, but Maks was the one that used to harvest organs and shit. He was the one that could tell if a body was healthy or not between the two of them.

"Yeah, like riding a bike."

He knew the human body well, it wasn't something he would forget easily.

"Only issue is, is that I can't pick up the body so you have to manipulate it for me."

He would be the brains and Lyo could be the muscle.

"That's why I'm here any way."

Lyo parked up the car a street away from the cemetery and slid out of the car.

"Right, let's go look at a body."

The fun part of the job.

Once they got there he popped out of the car.

"I'll let you know if anyone is inside."

He was good at this part, he had done it countless times for Danii.

Maks floated through the wall and zipped through the hallways, as far as he could see everything was all closed up and all the employees had gone home.

He quickly went back to Lyo's side.

"All clear, camera watching the outside doors."

Scarf out of his bag and wrapped around his shoulders and lower face before Maks had even finished speaking.

With his hands shoved casually in his pockets, he began strolling towards the morgue.

"What types of locks do we have? Alarms?"

How easy would it be to actually break in?

"Force alarms on the windows, motion sensor inside, pincode box is by the door, it's old, not hard to break."

Old alarm systems were surprisingly easy to rewire when you knew what you were doing.

"Pretty standard shit for businesses around here, haven't upgraded their security in twenty years. Locks are all standard issue, basic ones that came as default with the doors."

"You'd think they'd try to protect their dead better, huh?"

This was the sort of shit he could disarm in his sleep. Most places in Russia that he had broken into in the past were more advance than this a decade ago.

"This is gonna be a quick in and out."

"Pretty much. Seems like not a lot of people are trying to steal bodies."

In Russia this place would be hit every other weekend for black-market organs.

"Our body is in the freezer room downstairs at the end of the corridor."

Lyo paused when he got to the morgue and looked around casually.

Not one person around.

This was gonna be too easy.

He just hoped the body would be good for them.

He was in in minutes and strolling down the hall towards the stairs.

Maks was casually moving down the hall whistling to himself, this place was too easy.

"Man if we were living here as teenagers this town wouldn't know what hit them."

Russia made these business look like they were just giving out free samples of all their stock.

"The thieves over here must suck."

"No kidding. We'd be rich inside a week."

At least in Russia, they made it a challenge for them. Granted they only went for the morgue when they were really tight and couldn't do much.

Down the stairs, Lyo pushed open the freezer room.

"And...we're in. Which body?"

"One sec."

He replied, dipping into the freezer drawers and looking through all of them before Lyo started to pull them open.

"Where are you..."

He muttered, his voice echoing from inside the freezers.

"This one."

He called out, his arm jutting out from behind one of the small doors.

Lyo pulled open the door and wheeled out the body.

He unzipped the bag and spread it open so he could get a look at the body.

"Poor bastard."

Seeing a suicide victim wasn't something Lyo liked. He'd gone through it a lot in the past and every time he felt nausea churn in the pit of his stomach.

"Well at least he went out the way he wanted to."

Maks replied, he was a little less empathetic toward this guy, after all, as someone he suddenly lost his life, he felt a little peeved that someone else would throw theirs away, though he knew they had their reasons.

"Roll him onto his stomach."

He had hung himself, he had to see if his spine was intact.

He didn't even hesitate to move the body.

His past mixed with his necromancy had definitely made him anything but squeamish.

Idly he wondered what it was like to be squeamish.

Likely a big inconvenience.

Maks leaned over the body his eyes scanning expertly over each little bump and lump in the body.

"Put your hand here."

He muttered, putting his own hand where he wanted Lyo's.

"Slowly rubbed up and down and tell me if you feel anything move."

If his neck was snapped, it would make things difficult because his spinal cord might be severed.

His hand laid on top of Maks and rubbed up and down slowly.

"No."

He couldn't feel anything moving apart from the little shift of skin which was perfectly normal.

"I need to take the time to learn all this shit."
