[C] Blood

Lyo knocked on the door and planted his hands in his hips, waiting for Silt to come to the door.

He was a little nervous about what would be happening when they got back to the mansion and that was clear in the somewhat tense way he stood.

He didn't want to hurt Tuzik, but he didn't have much of a choice if he wanted Maks back.

It was a rough situation.

Tuzik bounded toward the door after another night with Coilean, he barked excitedly at the door as Silt padded down the stairs.

He opened the door with a small smile.

"Welcome back Lyo."

He managed to mutter before Tuzik pushed his head through the door and pounced on his Master, yapping excitedly.

Lyo smiled when Tuzik pounced on him.

"Hi," he murmured softly, hugging Tuzik close, nuzzling into his bright red hair.

He held Tuzik a little tighter than usual, hugging him hard in an apology for what he was going to do.

"We have to get off quickly. Thanks for looking after him for me."

Tuzik nuzzled his face in against Lyo's neck, pressing affectionate kisses and licks to his skin.

"No problem, he had bath so he is clean, for now, you guys are welcome over whenever you want."

The hound whined happily at the hug, wrapping his arms around the man.

The affectionate kisses were making him feel guilty.

Lyo spared Silt a last little smile before leading Tuzik to the car.

He wanted to get this over with quickly so he could get to begging the poor Hound for forgiveness for hurting him.

Guilt curled in the pit of his stomach as he opened the car door for the Hound.

Tuzik followed after him and when the door was opened he climbed into the car and sat up in the seat, looking out the window.

He panted happily and looked around.

Car rides always excited the pup.

The more happy the pup looked, the more guilty Alyosha felt.

He could just imagine the hurt look the pup would give him when he cut into him.

Lyo heaved a big sigh as he sat in the car himself and buckled up.

Hopefully Tuz would forgive him.

Canines were good as reading emotion so when Lyo's guilt peeked he looked over at the man and nudges him with his nose.

He gave a small curious whine as he tilted his head.

He didn't know what was wrong with the man but he was worried about him.

Lyo's response to the nudge was a little half smile and to ruffle the Hound's hair.

"Is nothing."

Though he drove the rest of the way to the mansion in silence, not even looking at the Hound.

Tuzik could tell he was lying but grinned at the man nevertheless.

For the entire car ride he looked out of the window happily, enjoying the scenery outside.

He perked up any time they drove by something interesting like another dog or a car with sirens.

When they got to the mansion, he let Tuzik out of the car and led him inside.

He didn't take the familiar route to their room, though.

He walked down the halls and up a flight of stairs, with his hands shoved in his pockets.

Tuzik walked beside the man, the side of his body rubbing against his Master's leg as they walked.

He faulted when they went in the wrong direction but followed after him, looking around at the unfamiliar halls.

It wasn't often that he just wandered around beyond their usual spots.

"Tuzik..." He didn't look down at the Hound as he spoke.

"I have favour to ask. Big favour. Very important."

Now was the difficult bit. He had to tread carefully here or he could seriously hurt the Hound.

The hound looked up at the man as he spoke.

His head tilted, this sounded quite serious, he wasn't accustomed to Lyo being serious with him.

He gave a questioning whine, wondering what was happening.

"I need..."

Lyo inhaled slowly before letting out all his breath in a deep sigh.

"I need blood. From you. Is...Is very important to me." He wanted his best friend back more than anything in the world.

His blue eyes turned down to Tuz as he waited for the pup's response.

His brows furrowed as Lyo struggled and sighed.

A small look of confusion went over his features as he thought about what the man was asking.

Alyosha needed his blood?

The man had done everything for him, named him, loved him, taken care of him and helped him.

His gaze went from Lyo to down at his own arm.

Without warning he bit into his own arm sharply until he began to bleed.

Lyo's body jerked into action when Tuzik bit into his arm.

"Hey, hey!" It was a knee jerk action to tear off his shirt and drop to his knees. He pressed the shirt carefully to the Hound's bleeding arm.

He leaned forwards a little so his forehead was pressed against Tuzik's, eyes closing as a little smile curled his lips.

A little chuckle escaped him.

"Thank you."

He still pressed the shirt tighter to Tuzik's arm. "Silly dog."

He gave a bright smile as Lyo pressed his forehead against his own, his lips crimson with is own blood.

The wound didn't hurt that badly, he had suffered far worse since the days he had been a pup.

Lyo had needed his blood, and he was more than happy to bleed for the man.

He just hoped this made him happy again.

"Good dog?"

He asked, he didn't want to be a silly dog.

"Very good dog."

Lyo pulled back, standing up slowly, keeping a grip on his t-shirt and Tuz's arm so the shirt didn't slip.

"Let's go somewhere better."

They weren't that far from the infirmary. That was where he had been leading the pup in the first place.

He smiled and nodded as the shirt was held to his arm.

Atleast he had done to the right thing for Lyo.

He padded a little more carefully in the way he was being led.

When they got into the infirmary, Lyo sat Tuzik down in a chair and disappeared off to search for the supplies he'd need.

Lyo knew his seedy past would come in handy here.

He was quick to find a tourniquet and a hypodermic needle.

It wasn't long after that he found a few blood vials laying around.

He set everything on a tray and returned to Tuzik's side. With Tuzik's healing ability, his wound was probably almost compleatly healed now. It was best to take blood using a needle. He couldn't heal around a needle.

Tuzik sat there, glancing around as he waited.

He had never been to a hospital, or infirmary before, there wasn't really any need for it.

The hound looked over the things on the tray with worry. He remembered his last encounter with needles.

He looked up at Lyo with a soft whine, he would prefer just to bite himself again.

Lyo ran his hand gently through Tuzik's hair as he knelt down in front of him.

"Will be quick. Very little pain," he promised.

His lips kicked up into a smirk. "If it does hurt, you can bite me," he promised.

He picked up the tourniquet from the tray and slid it around one of Tuzik's arms.

"Relax. Be still."

He tried to sit still but it wasn't easy, he rested his arm on the side as he watched Lyo work.

He gave a wary smile as his hair was stroke.

"No hurt."

Tuzik would be tough, if he could handle biting into his own flesh a little metal prick wouldn't be so bad, Lyo wouldn't hurt him on purpose and he knew that.

Luckily, Tuzik had very good veins. It was easy to find a vein in the crook of his elbow and press the needle into it. "Small scratch," he murmured softly as he needle pierced the Hound's skin.

"Good boy," he crooned softly as he began to draw off the blood.

"Very good boy."

A little smile curled his lips.

Tuzik was being very good about this.
