Perfect night for company. (Alexis and Zakhar)

Zakhar snorted at the suggestion.

The mental image of sitting in front of the mirror sliding pins into his hair passed through his mind.

He shivered violently.

No. Not a good mental image. Not happening. Ever.

As soon as the kitchen door came into view, he made a bee-line, heading straight for the kettle.

She chuckled softly at his reaction, she couldn't imagine the Lycan doing something so feminine but it was an amusing thought.

Alexis stretched her arms over her head and wandering into the kitchen at her own pace, sitting herself down at the table as she debated what she wanted to drink.

"I've never understood the fascination with coffee."
She mused as he fiddled with the kettle.

"Coffee is hot and isn't sweet."

He liked hot drinks but teas and hot chocolates were much too sweet for him. Zakhar didn't have much of a sweet tooth so he stayed away from sweet foods.

The Lycan spooned some instant coffee into a large mug while he waited for the kettle to boil.

He leaned against the counter and hummed to himself as he pushed his hair out of his face again.

"I see, well, I suppose that makes sense then."
She muttered softly with a nod as she made her way over to the cupboard.

The vampire pulled out a bottle of red wine and a glass, setting them down on the table and pouring herself a drink.

She was a huge fun of red wine and enjoyed following her meals with a nice glass of it.

After pouring herself a generous glassful she sat back in her chair and took a sip.

He poured the water into his mug and stirred until he was satisfied.

Zakhar lifted the mug to his lips, holding the scalding hot mug in both hands in hopes of warming them up a little.

A soft purr sounded after he swallowed his first mouthful. He really need that.

She watched Zakhar drink, a small smile pulling at the corners of her lips, she was suddenly grateful for the fact that her body temperature stayed consistent.

She didn't have to worry about becoming cold because of a little water.
"See, isn't this a bit nicer than sitting out there soaking wet?"

At least, it would be more enjoyable once they changed.

"Da," was his simple reply after a second mouthful.

Now all he needed to do was find a good book and curl up in front of a nice warm fire in the library.

"Shall we go to library?" he asked, tilting his head to the side a little as he questioned the woman, his silver-grey gaze on her form.

"I suppose so."
She replied, getting to her feet and picking up her glass to take with her before putting away the rest of the bottle.

"I suspect the library will be a little warmer than the kitchen."
She added, her golden gaze meeting his as she nodded toward the hall that led to the library.

"Come on."
She called as she started to walk toward their new location.

He nodded and pushed off the counter, following behind the woman as she stood and made her way to the library.

Once again he fell into step with her, walking besides her as she led them to the library.

A little peeve of his was that he didn't like walking behind people unless he had acknowledged that they were better than him. Only one person that he knew was alive now had the privilege of being able to walk in front of him.

"Is library good? I've yet to see." He hadn't been into the library yet.

A little smirk appeared on her lips as he caught up with her, she took no offense in the action, she would have done the same thing if he were walking in front of her

"The library is very good, nice and comfortable and the collection of books is expansive.

If the book exists, and is worth reading, they have it here."

He gave a little nod.

It sounded like this library was a good one. Good. He had been very disappointed with most of the libraries he had been in on search for some good books. Young people just didn't have much of a decent choice of reading material.

"I will have to see if that is true." He had a few books that he had been looking for. He'd be elated if he found them in this library.
