The Moon Is Full Again

He still had that doubt; that fear of her leaving him.

But if he constantly lived in fear he would get nothing out of life. He needed to take the metaphorical bull by the horns.

He loved her. He knew he did.

Telling her was a huge step forwards.

Now they just needed to take every day as it came and hope she didn't leave him in the future. That was all that he could do now.

The Lycan pulled back a little, grasping Lia's hair and pulling her head away from his chest. He bowed to kiss her deeply, trying to convey the emotions that he felt that those few little words couldn't show her.

Lia didn't want to pull away from him but moved her head as Zakhar grasped onto her hair.

She kissed him just as deeply, her hands trembling slightly as they reached up and held onto the back of his hair as she pulled him closer.

It didn't matter how old, or how powerful Belial was, she could still have quite human reactions to certain situations, this was one of them.

She was overwhelmed by emotion to the point her small body trembled in both happiness and fear, both seemed so closely interconnected.

His hands ran up and down her back soothingly as she trembled in his arms.

He had never seen her like this. She was trembling with the force of the emotion she felt.

It was strange seeing his Mistres - no, his Mate - like this. And every fibre of his being wanted to comfort her the best he could.

His large hands stroked her skin gently as he kissed her forehead gently.

"I love you, Belial," he murmured softly, stroking her hair.

Belial melted in against the man's touch, her body pressed up tightly against him.

Slowly she began to calm down as he soothed her, her body relaxing as she became still.

If the Demon didn't know better she could've sworn she felt her heart fluttering a few gentle beats.

"This all feels so surreal."
She muttered as she hugged him tight, she knew she was acting strangely, but she couldn't help it, after millennia feeling empty this was all so foreign to her.

His fingers thread through her long hair as she stilled against him.

He stayed silent as she spoke.

Emotions were a strange thing. He could relate to what she was feeling on some level. When you became a Lycan, your emotions were heightened. Humans could feel nothing compared to Supernaturals.

It had taken so long to get used to feeling emotions so strongly.

He pressed his lips to her hair gently.

Her lips pulled into a gentle smile as she leaned in against his warm chest, her eyes slid shut as his lips pressed against her hair.

It was funny how someone who was physically much weaker than her made her feel safe like this.

Her bright purple gaze looked up at him as she leaned up and kissed him softly.

He really was hers now, and she was his, on a much deeper level than they had experienced before.

He smiled into the soft kiss.

So much had happened tonight but it could all be explained in two words. Two little words could explain everything that had happened between the two of them.

Love. Mate.

They had confessed their love. Belial had accepted him as her Mate.

It was such a strange feeling; to know his Mistress loved him so much. Alek had cared for him but he had never loved him like Belial did.

She hoped that now Zakhar could see just how much he meant to her.

He wasn't just another Slave that she would use and abandon, she cared for him much more than that.

She was his mate and she knew importance of that title to a Lycan, Wolves are more loyal and pious than other species, many of them mate for life and though they may not be monogamous it didn't mean their loyalty to one another wouldn't be just as strong.

She could only imagine what Tony would say if she could see them, Belial the one that committed to no one falling for a Lycan.

Zakhar shifted, his arms sliding under Lia's legs and bracing against her back as he picked her up crawled on his knees towards the tree he had been leaning against not long before.

He leaned back against it, settling the woman in his lap.

He stroked her hair, pulling her closer and nuzzling against her affectionately.

She was his.

Her eyes practically glowed with affection as nestled into his lap, Zakhar had a claim on her now.

Back during mating season he had called her 'mine' but quickly corrected himself with a visible tinge of disappointment, but now, he could say that and it would hold merit, she was his just as much as he was hers.

She leaned into the touches in her hair as her arms slid around his neck, her forehead leaning against his.

"Yours."

Lia muttered softly as she pressed up against him.

A soft smile curled his lips.

Yours.

He loved hearing that come from her. She was his. Well and truly his. And he was hers.

The two of them well and truly belong to each other.

He loved it.

At the beginning of the evening she never would've thought that this would be the outcome.

In the passion of the full moon they had taken a risk and found their feelings reciprocated within each other.

She nestled in against him, nuzzling against her Lycan as she sat in his lap, her head leaning down against his shoulder as she gazed up at him.

Zakhar found that whenever he expected something around Mistress, his expectations were never met.

Something always happened to completely change things.

The first time he had met her he thought he would have a nice fuck buddy; another Slave. That hadn't happened.

Tonight he thought he would just sit around doing nothing and hiding from Aodh. That hadn't happened, either.

But he couldnt be disappointed at what had happened. Not at all.

Lia chuckled softly.
"Life with you seems so unpredictable, seems my plans don't amount to much and I find myself doing things I never would have dreamed of doing."

She never thought of taking a Mate, being devoted to someone seemed laughable and she had scoffed at Tony when the Vampire had asked if she had ever been married.

This is as close as Belial had ever been to something so committed.

"Unpredictable is fun."

Not knowing what would happen in the future was scary but he liked this.

He would enjoy tacking everything in the future with Belial at his side as his Mate. He was looking forwards to the future.

He cuddled closer to her with a smile.

"That's true, I think life will only get more interesting from now on."

She nestled in against him, she would gladly take on anything that life could throw at them now that she had a reason driving her actions.

Leaning up she planted a gentle kiss onto his lips as her hands stroked through his hair, pushing the stray black strands from his face.

"Never a dull moment with you around."

His lips quirked when she brushed a strand of hair from his face.

After a moment the strand fell back into place exactly as it had been moments prior. His hair had a mind of its own.

It got in his face and covered his one able eye. It annoyed him constantly. But he couldn't do anything about it so he just left it in his face.

"I would disagree with you but it seems Italy has been more entertaining than I first thought."

Lia gave a soft chuckle, moving here had kept life interesting for sure, so much had happened in such a small amount of time, there was rarely a dull moment.

She forced his hair out of his face, holding it back as she leaned down and kissed him, she wanted to be able to see his face when they were close.

"I agree."

He was only supposed to be staying in Italy for a short while. But it had been almost a year now. A year and he still hadn't given much thought of leaving the country.

He didnt want to.

Zakhar was having far too much fun in Italy to want to leave. He had met many interesting people and done a lot of interesting things. Leaving the country meant possibly losing the chance to have interesting things happen to him.

The Lycan gave a soft chuckle when Lia forced his hair out of his face. Not even the Demon had the ability to tame his uncontrollable hair.

His chuckle faded when her lips press against hers. His arms tightened around her waist, pulling her closer as he deepened their kiss. He loved being able to just spend time with her as friends, but he also loved being able to be close to her as her lover with these gentle, lingering kisses and the soft brush of skin against skin.

Her hands slid through his hair, pushing it back as she leaned into the kiss, leaning up against him.

She didn't get to see the man's full face often, it was always hidden behind his disobedient hair, and though he may not completely agree, she happened to think that he was really quite handsome.

With a soft purr she wrapped her arms around his neck, holding him closer.

She remembered the day she had told him who she was, he seemed so uncaring, like it didn't matter at all. That was when she first started feeling for him, he was the one person in this word who honestly didn't care that she was a Demon.
