[C] looking for a good time

He had always liked the feeling of Ian playing with his hair, it soothed hi.

Deacon sat there without a fuss as the Shifter slowly towel dried his hair, remaining that way as he began to idly stroke it.

His shoulders began the slump as he relaxed, the tension of being riled up slowly draining out of him.

"I remember, you had a fit the day I planned to cut it all off."

"Course I fucking did. This stuff-" He bunched a handful up in each hand. "Is absolutely gorgeous and should never be cut off."

He returned to running his fingers through it.

"I'd still slap you silly if you cut it off."

Deacon snorted a laugh as Ian grabbed handfuls of his hair, shaking his head slightly.

"I gave up on cutting it off a long time ago."

They had compromised and he had only shaved a small portion of his hair, even that was mostly grown back now.

"Cause you knew I'd beat you over the head as soon as scissors got within an inch of it."

Without really thinking, he began braiding the hair.

He'd been conditioned to start braiding as soon as a little niece sat her far too adorable ass in front of him. Long hair was in danger of being braided if it was left to his hands now.

When Ian left he had debating shaving it all off out of spite but that plan quickly fell through.

Even with the man out of his life he couldn't bring himself to do it.

"Are you braiding my hair?"

He asked, raising an eyebrow.

He never did anything with his hair, it was either down or up in a bun, that was it.

The dexterous movements of his hands paused, and he stared down at them as if he'd just realised what he was doing. His cheeks flooded with colour, but after a pause, he carried on deliberately.

"Shut up," he snorted.

Who cared if he was braiding his hair?

Doc could just sit and deal with it.

Deacon knew what they pause meant, Ian was embarrassed.

The Warlock erupted into a teasing laugh, looking over his shoulder at the man's scarlet face.

"You want to paint my nails next? Or are we gonna have a tea party?"

"You're gonna end up floored and waking up with a nasty fucking headache of you carry on."

A threat or a promise, Doc could decide.

"You be preferential babysitter to two girly girls and see if you come out of it not knowing how to braid hair."

Deacon gave another snorted laugh.

The thought of seeing Ian on the floor with two little girls being bossed around was amazing.

"Such a Mom."

The man couldn't deny it now.

Ian rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. And pass me that hairband while you're at it."

He gestured to the hairband that was laying on Docs bedside table.

"And a pretty bow if you have one. Naila always wants a bow, and you're just as whiny as her when you get going."

Deacon grunted as he reached over to grab the hair tie.

He wasn't too impressed about having his hair done up in such a girly manner but he wasn't going to start a fight about it.

He waited until the end was tied off before he swished his hair around.

"Do I look pretty now?"

He asked, looking over his shoulder and fluttering his eyelashes.

Ian shook his head and rolled his eyes almost violently.

He pressed a hand to Doc'c cheek, pushing it back teasingly.

"You need more than just a hair style to ever be in the hopes of looking pretty, Dea."

Deacon huffed as his head was pushed back, biting the man's hand playfully.

"Rude ass."

He grumbled, laying out on the bed and looking up at the man, idly batting at Ian's face.

"Still better looking than your ugly mug."

"Pot," he jabbed pointedly. One rude ass calling the other rude? Ha. Doc was the prince of rude.

He batted Doc's hand away, shaking his head and smiling lightly.

"Yeah sure, believe it if you want."

"Kettle."

He replied with a laugh. He knew he was absolutely no better.

Deacon relaxed against the bed below him, it amused him how he could be so mad at Ian and be so easily quelled.

The man knew how to disarm his temper.

His broad shoulders lifted in a shrug. "Yeah. Only time I claim otherwise is when I'm the pot."

He'd admit freely to that one.

Ian leaned back, relaxing and letting his arms hold him up.

Deacon toyed with his braid for a while, it was weird having his hair confined.

"What's your girl gonna think do you spending your night in another man's bed?"

He teased with a smirk.

"My girl is pushing it," he replied in a quiet warning.

His feelings for Lily were still conflicting, and weren't what he wanted to focus his thoughts on right now.

Then he shrugged half-heartedly with one shoulder, as if to say: what does it matter?

Last he had heard Ian was still into this girl, their relationship being what it was he hadn't pushed for further information.

Clearly things hadn't been going well.

Reaching up he gripped Ian's hair and gave it a tug to snap him out of it.

"Let's go drink then."
Best get his mind off of it.

"Someday you're going to actually get alcohol poisoning, and I'm going to fucking laugh."

He stood, though, and ambled into the open living area again.

He stretched out contentedly on the couch and reached for the bowl of pretzels he'd been working his way through earlier.

"Oi, open your mouth." He picked up a couple, closed one eye and aimed, tossing one towards Doc's mouth.

Deacon was soon to follow, making himself comfortable on his favourite seat and pouring himself a drink.

He opened his mouth almost instantly. He knew either way food was going to be thrown at him, he might as well try to eat it.

Deacon snorted a laugh as the pretzel hit his chin and fell into his lap.

"You still suck at this." He mocked picking it up and eating it .

"Fuck off, it's totally you that sucks."

He tossed another on, this time purposefully aiming for Doc's forehead. It hit square on.

"You couldn't catch a cold in the North Pole with your dick out."

"Probably couldn't."

He agreed with a smirk, picking up the second pretzel to land into his lap after hitting his face and popping it into his mouth.

"Would still manage to catch chlamydia though." He joked with a laugh before opening his mouth again, eager to catch the next one.

"Gonoherpesyphilaids more like," he corrected with his own laugh.

He tossed another. Then another.

Then he just decided to be a dick, tossing them randomly instead of aiming them. Some he threw over a foot off its target to see of Doc would lunge to catch it.

"Yeah I wonder who I could have caught that from."
He replied, picking up one of the fallen pretzels and tossing it back at Ian.

Doc managed to catch a fair few of them, grinning at the challenge of a badly thrown one.

He pushed himself from his seat to get it, managing to catch it but also falling over the armrest of his seat and landing on the floor with a thud.

That just made the man laugh as he chewed on his prize.
