A Good Day And A Rest

The woman smiled softly as she slid into her room, closing the door lightly behind her.

Today had been good. She had cooked for her Master and Slaves Brothers and they had enjoyed the meal. She had even managed to eat almost the same amount as Belial today, too. He was proud of her for that. She loved seeing the proud glint in his purple eyes.

And while Belial was in Session with Zakhar she had taken Coilean for a long walk out in the forests. He had shown her a beautiful meadow and they had laid around in it for well over an hour before she decided that they should probably get back.

She had cooked Coilean a nice meal for lunch and baked some sweets for Belial and Zakhar. She took them up to Belial's room and set them down on the desk before taking Coilean's lead off and fussing him for a while.

Dinner had been cooked and they had all enjoyed talking and laughing with each other.

This was all so different from her life with Hendrika. But she liked it. She could socialise and laugh and cuddle with her Brothers as much as she wanted at the moment without consequence. She supposed that if one of them were to be punished, they wouldn't be allowed to be so touchy feely with each other. But she enjoyed it none-the-less.

And now the sun had just gone down and she had been allowed to go back to her room for the night or until Belial called her. But she doubted he would. He had owned her for a while now and he still hadn't taken her in a Session yet. It confused her a little but she had made no comment; it wasn't her place to do so.

The woman strolled forwards towards her bed, stripping herself of her sweater dress and tossing it onto her chair as her hands descended to the buttons of her skinny jeans.

Her skeletal torso was on show, the skin moving over the bones of her ribs as she kicked her shoes off and slid her jeans down her sickly thin legs.

In one of the large beds in the room Asher was in, Jenevieve laid resting. It may have been the time to sleep for most beings, but for a vampire such as Jenevieve, she'd be waking up any moment now.

She stirred slightly when she heard someone enter the room. She always wanted to be alert on her senses. Ever since Taylor had left, Jenevieve had had the room mostly to herself. The odd child that she had met the day she arrived came in from time to time. But for the most part Jenevieve had enjoyed her privacy.

After hearing some of the scuffling noises Asher made in undressing herself, the petite vampire flickered her eyes open and sat up in her bed.
Her wavy white hair had gotten considerably longer in the time she had been there, flowing down to her waist freely. She normally wore it tied back but while she slept it was down, cascading over her shoulders. She wore an old fashioned nightgown, and looked like a creature right out of a storybook from the early 1900's.

She furrowed her brow as she watched Asher. She took note of how skinny and sickly the poor woman looked. She appeared to be malnourished and there was something about the way she held herself that reminded Jenevieve of an insecure person.

Whoever this stranger was, she was not a vampire like Jenevieve. And she was also making herself comfortable in Jenevieve's room. Perhaps they had finally found someone to take Taylor's bed?

Jenevieve cleared her throat to get the young woman's attention.

Asher jumped with a loud squeak when someone else in the room made a noise.

She hadn't seen anyone else in the room since she had arrived a few days ago. She had thought it was all but abandoned apart from her.

The woman turned around, her wide green eyes scanning the room. In turning around, she had revealed the entirety of her naked body to whoever was in the room. She didn't care that her body was on show; she had only started wearing clothes recently at Belial's request. She had no shame in letting others see her body.

What little of her body there was. She was sickly thin, her bones were easy to make out through her tanned skin. She had no fat or muscle.

"H-Hello?" she whispered softly, her voice low and scratchy. She still wasn't all that used to talking. She stayed silent mostly.

Jenevieve slipped out of bed and folded her arms, raising her brow. She had almost laughed out at the way this young thing had squeaked in surprise. Like a lost little mouse.

And the vampire was feeling rather catty.

She slowly started walking up towards Asher, letting her eyes scornfully take in the young woman's body.

"What are you, some sort of savage?" She asked, her tone condescending as usual. "You stand there before me naked as the day you were born and yet you show no shame." She said, tilting her head.

"A woman as sickly as yourself has no business in ever displaying her lack of assets." She stated rudely, red eyes full of spite.

Her eyes took in the woman - shorter than her by a number of inches.

She was shorter, but there was little doubt that she was stronger. She was superior. There was no collar around her neck or strict rules for her to live by.

Asher dropped to her knees in front of the woman, eyes lower to the ground as she bowed to her silently.

She had heard all this before. All this verbal abuse and more came from Hendrika.

And she knew what came next. She would be kicked around a little then ordered to clean up the bloodied mess her body had made. It was what she was used to; what Hendrika had done on an almost daily basis.

The moment the young woman dropped to her knees, Jenevieve's eyes narrowed in confusion. She was not expecting that.

"What are you doing?" She asked, confused. She had never seen someone fall to their knees in front of her, unless she had made it clear she was going to kill them.

"I'm not going to kill you so get up and get dressed, you're making a fool of yourself." She ordered. Her tone, however, was softer then before.

Even though she wouldn't want to admit it, she felt pity for the being in front of her. So many people responded to Jenevieve's rudeness with rudeness. But this poor girl hadn't a single ill word to say, nor the body language to defy her.

Her eyes flickered up to Jene when she told her to get up.

She didn't allow eye contact. She never did. her eyes stayed on the woman's chin as she stared up at her in confusion.

Where was the punishment for displeasing her? The kicking and slapping and biting? Where was it all? Being told to get up was... it was new and different. It was strange.

Asher pushed herself up onto her knees and just knelt there, her eyes turning down to the floor as her hands folded neatly in her lap.

Jenevieve, however, stared directly into Asher's eyes, even if they did not return the contact.

There was something behind those eyes that disturbed Jenevieve, and that was not an easy thing to do.

The woman swallowed and felt something tugging inside her chest. Looking around quickly, she picked up the bed scarf and wrapped it around Asher's shoulders.

She knelt down in front of Asher so they were on the same level, draping the blanket over the girls frail body, making sure the changeling was covered. It felt odd for her to do something that would come off as comforting. But there was an urging there, something deep inside the woman's heart.

He would help her. He wouldn't scorn her like this. She's not a whore, she's scared. Something has happened to her. He would help her. She thought, her brow still furrowed.

"Are you... all right?" She asked hesitantly. This was out of her character and she knew it, but something about Asher's confused and scared eyes brought it out of her.

Her brows drew together a little when the blanket was draped over her shoulders.

One hand reached up to curl around the hem of the blanket. Her hand shook a little. She didn't know what to do. This... kindness. She wasn't used to it.

Did she thank her for this? Or stay silent? Or apologise for the inconvenience of the woman having to help her?

Apologise. Of course she had to apologise for this. The woman wouldn't be going out of her way to do all of this for her if she wasn't here causing trouble; no matter how unintentionally.

"I'm sorry," she murmured, bowing deeply one more when the woman asked her the question.

If there was one thing Jenevieve loved, it was an apology. Though her superiority complex was not near as bad as others, she did have one. And so to hear people apologize to her made her ego swell with delight.

In this instance she figured the young girl was apologizing for her nakedness. The vampire softened even more, petting Asher's hair gently, a soft smile coming to her otherwise cold face.

"It's all right." She said, accepting the apology, not knowing that Asher didn't understand exactly what she was saying sorry for.

"You're not hurt are you?" She asked, just wanting to make sure that the girl wasn't in any danger or pain. From the way the changeling acted, there was a high possibility she was.

Her apology was accepted.

Did that mean she wouldn't get a punishment so severe? She could only hope that was the case.

She shook her head at the question. "No, Ma'am." She wasn't hurt. Yet. She was still expecting it, though.

The title she gave to the woman had been ingrained into her. Call any one but Mistress Ma'am or Sir depending on their gender. Failure to do this will result in punishment.

"Good" The vampire said, patting Asher's shoulder.

"Do you have anything you can dress into? If not I have some dresses I can lend you." She offered, wanting to help the woman get modest again.

Showing compassion like this was very out of character for Jenevieve, something she did not normally do. But she liked it.

One would not know the darkness her mind would slip into come a few days in the future when a long lost acquaintance would present her a disturbing gift.

She shook her head.

She had clothes. But she wasn't going to wear them. She was just undressing so she could slip into bed.

Asher had been up since five that morning once again to cook breakfast for her Brothers and Master. It was only just after sunset - barely seven o'clock. But she was tired and Belial had let her do what she wanted with the rest of the day while he spent some time with Zakhar and Coilean.

"I-I'm fine, Ma'am."

Jenevieve nodded her head, realizing that the woman didn't want her to be near her anymore. So the petite vampire stood up and took a few steps back.

"All right, I'll leave you to your privacy now." She said, nodding her head.

"My name is Jenevieve Gladstone, by the way." She introduced herself, smiling sweetly. She would have offered her hand but the girl didn't seem to want any physical contact and Jenevieve would respect that.

"Thank you," she murmured softly, gazing up at the woman as she took a few steps back.

She had done so much for her in this short time. More than she usually received in the way of kindness from people. She liked being treated nicely, even if it was a strange thing for her.

"I'm Asher ...Z-Zaroli." It had been a long time since she had had to use her surname; she was trying her hardest to remember it.

She hoped she had it right.

The changeling gave a little smile in return as she pushed herself to her feet.

Jenevieve nodded again, keeping her soft smile.

"Well it was a pleasure to meet you Asher. I hope you can forgive my brashness earlier. I tend to have a quick tongue." She admitted. Had Asher not apologized first, Jenevieve would have never done the same. But without knowing it, the young changeling had done everything right in the way of gathering Jenevieve's sympathies and kindness.

The woman looked up at the Vampire.

"There's nothing to forgive, ma'am." Nothing in her eyes to forgive. She had been treated like that daily for years up until a few days ago. Being yelled at and insulted, no matter how hurtful, was normal for her.

She pushed herself to her feet and pulled the blanket from around her shoulders, folding it neatly.

Asher set the folded blanket onto the Vampire's bed and turned back to her own. A flash of green emanated from the Changeling's as he sat down on his own bed.

He pulled his hair over one shoulder and braided it loosely.

"Good night, ma'am," he murmured softly, eyes turning to Jene as he shuffled along the bed so he could slip under the covers. He always felt it easier to fall asleep when he was male.

Jenevieve herself had turned to start getting dressed from her nightgown. She had turned around just in time to see the flash of green and the young woman transform into a young man.

The vampire's eyes widened and her cheeks flushed red. She promptly turned her head away, jaw dropped just slightly. Now she was not expecting that!

She didn't know how comfortable she felt, sharing a room with someone that could go from being a woman to a man so quickly. Asher seemed so frail, but could that all be a disguise for hiding someone sinister?

It was very sexist of the vampire to think this way, but it was how her mind worked. As soon as she found she was sharing her room with someone who could potentially be male if chosen, she started judging again. Men, after all, were mostly after just one thing.

Still, Jenevieve was strong herself, and had the ability to quickly escape from a bad situation if need be. Taking another deep breath she decided to not say anything, not wanting to bother the girl... er... boy... as he was just getting ready to sleep.

"Goodnight." She said, with her back turned, her voice soft. With her change of clothes in hand, she decided to move herself to the bathroom so she could change in private.

Asher didn't turn around when he was settled.

He laid with his back to the rest of the room, curled up comfortably on his side. His braid stretched out across his pillow and hung over the edge of the bed.

The man didn't have the will to do anything untoward towards Jenevieve.

He had been taught not to do anything except what had been ordered of him.

Jene hadn't ordered him to touch her so he wouldn't. The woman needn't worry about receiving unwanted attention from the Changeling.
