[C] Black Dragon

He ran his thumb over the pad of Dick's finger, just under the cut.

Then he lifted his hand up to kiss the cut gently. A silly little comfort thing his older sisters had always done with him when he'd gotten hurt as a child.

"Thank you," he murmured again.

His smile softened and he rested he cheek against Fleck's chest as he felt his lips against the cut. It stung a tiny bit.

"You're welcome," he said again, running the finger across the seam of Fleck's upper lip.

"Thank you for being so patient."

"You don't have to thank me for that," Fleck snorted.

That was a stupid thing for him to thank him for. What was he supposed to be with his boyfriend, if not patient?

He paused, fingers lingering.

"I know."

How many times have they said something along the same lines to each other?

He lifted himself and kissed where his fingers just were, arms crossed over broad shoulders.

"And you're still going to thank me every time, huh?"

He knew it was going to happen. Dick thanked him for silly little things constantly.

"It feels good to talk again. Longest day of my life."

There was another soft laugh from Dick and he smoothed a few blond strand away from Fleck's face to the top of his head.

"It's good to hear you talk again," he sincerely said.

Fleck's voice was truly like music to his ears right now.

"I've decided not very good at being the chatty one."

Making conversation was never easy for him. Especially if that person he was talking to couldn't respond back.
