[C] The old Master

Lyo snorted a laugh as the pup tugged at his own tail.

He could never get over the stupiidity of some dogs. He loved it. "Do you have it?" He ticckled the pup's thigh. "Do you have your tail?"

He wrapped his arms around the large dog and hoisted him up to hug him. "Rawr." He buried his face in the pup's thick fur.

The pup gave a little growl and shook his tail in reply, dropping it from his mouth as Lyo pulled him up.

His front legs draped over each of Lyo's shoulders and he licked at the man's neck and face with a happy whine, his tail wagging at break-neck speeds.

Already the pup was warning to the man and cuddling closer.

Lyo laughed, attempting pitifully to push the pup away from hi face.

"Don't suffocate me," he chuckled.

But he continued to tease the hound. He was enjoying playing.

He pulled back a little as Lyo tried half-heartedly to push him away, his tongue instead lapping at the man's fingers.

Sharp little puppy teeth nibbled at the man's hand.

After all that playing before he was getting hungry and his stomach made an audible groan.

"Trying to eat me, huh?"

The growl caused Lyo to turn his attention to Tuzik. He was in over his head with hungry Hellhound puppies.

"Tuz, what do they eat?" He certainly had no idea.

Tuzik lifted his head, he had been watching the two of them and a little smile graced his lips.

"Meat."

He replied with a soft laugh, they ate what he ate.

Hellhounds needed a high protein diet, especially when they were young.

It didn't really matter what kind of meat, a pup could easily live off of fish or chicken, usually they ate what they could hunt down or scavenge, it wasn't uncommon for pups to track down nests and steal eggs when the animals themselves were too difficult to catch.

Meat. Okay, that was easy enough.

"Come, then. Let's go have lunch."

It was a little early, but by the time he'd cooked everything, he was sure it'd be an approrpiate time for lunch.

He pup was occupying itself with rubbing it's head against Lyo's shoulder to scratch his ears.

The earlier dip in the pool made his ears itchy from water getting into them.

He gave a bark and hopped down from Alyosha's lap, stretching out his body with a whined yawn.

"Well you know what the word lunch means," Lyo chuckled as he pushed himself to stand up.

"Come on, lovebirds. It's lunch time for all of us."

Lyo could sink his teeth into a good steak right about now. He was sure Coilean and Tuzik would feel the same.

The pup's large ears perked up and swiveled in Alyosha's direction as he said lunch again.

Yes he knew the names of meals and he hovered around the man's feet, weaving through them and making sure he stayed close to the man, he didn't want to miss out on food.

Tuzik gave a yawn and pressed another kiss to Coilean's cheek as he slowly moved to stand, he would never say no to food.

Lyo danced rather gracelessly towards the kitchen, trying to avoid stepping on the pup.

"Like a cat," he grumbled softly when he finally gave up and nudged the pup away from his legs. "You can walk with me without trying to force me to the floor."

Coilean was quick to follow after Tuz. The promise of food was too great an opportunity to miss.

The pup gave a whine but moved to walk beside the man instead.

It would take a while for it to set in that he didn't have to fight his brothers or sisters for meals anymore.

Tuzik stuck close to Lean but watched the pup and his master, it was funny seeing the man interact with the pup.

Lyo had been a dog man all his life, right from the time his mother had picked up a puppy for him when he was five. He'd always been able to interact well with dogs and he always enjoyed playing with them.

The Necromancer headed straight for the meat store when he got to the kitchen.

"Tuzik, get the chips."

Tuzik padded to the freezer and yanked it open, searching through the frozen foods before he found the chips he liked, pulling them out and carrying them over to the counter for Alyosha.

The pup followed Lyo around, whining at the sight of the meat, he would happily eat it frozen and raw if that was how it came.

Tuz was becoming a good help in the kitchen nowadays, he could get out ingredients and even set the table, which he went about doing. Careful not to drop anything.

"I have a tail," he noted with a grin, keeping an eye on the pup as he cut open a packet of beef steaks.

He poured a little oil in a pan and waited for it to get hot before he set the steaks into it.

"So what's his name?"

Tuzik tilted his head as Lyo spoke.

The pup didn't have a name yet, Lucifer never named any of his pups, he never got only affectionate with them, it was counter productive.

"No name yet."

He replied as he set down a plate for each of them on the counter, getting a metal dog dish for the pup instead, he would likely break a plate.

"Well you'll have to think of one soon. He can't go around with no name."

Lyo leaned down to pet the pup as he watched the steaks cook.

Lyo wouldn't let the pup go around with no name. He needed something to call him.

Tuzik looked at Coilean with pursed lips, he had never named anything before, let alone a pup.

"Name?"

He asked, hoping the man could be of some assistance to him.

Tuz was out of his depth here.

Coilean just blinked back at his lover.

He wasn't good with naming thigs either. it had been his partner that named Moe and he'd been perfectly okay with that.

He'd be no help here.

Tuzik didn't know many names, Alyosha, Coilean, Tuzik but those were already taken.

With pursed lips he sat on the floor and tried to think about names that were in his favourite books and movies.

He looked up at Alyosha with a furrowed brow.

"Nemo?"

"Nemo?" Lyo repeated, a little dully.

It wasn't a name he would have chosen, but he wasn't the one naming the pup. This was Tuzik's choice.

He turned his gaze down to the pup. "What do you think? Like it?"

The pup just looked up at Alyosha as he was spoken to, whining as he shuffled, his feet slowly inching closer to the counter, he was big enough to almost place his nose on it.

Tuzik shrugged a little, he didn't know.

Alyosha had been the one to give him a name.

"Think on it a little," he suggested. "Maybe a really good one will come to you tonight."

Then the pup might get away with not having a name like Nemo.

"Nu-uh. You have to wait like everyone else." He pushed the pup's nose away from the counter as he inched closer and closer.

Tuz gave a small nod, he'd wait and think about it, the pup and gone a year without a name, another night wasn't going to do any harm.

The pup licked at Lyo's hand as his nose was pushed away.

His fingers tasted like raw steak.

"Go on, go sit with Coilean while you wait. Sitting under my nose isn't going to get you fed any quicker."

It was like having an eager little child waiting for a cake to finish baking.

"Go on."
