Meeting Lycans properly for once

Gabriel was quietly walking through the forest as a wolf, simply feeling the urge to be in this form as he'd been human for too long, and he wanted the freedom his animal form gave him.

He was a large russet wolf, the reddish tinge reminiscent of his natural colouring while the markings were like that of a common Grey wolf.

Shanook walked alongside him, looking much smaller in comparison, despite Gabriel not being the biggest of Lycans.

He had just finished hunting down a deer and had just fed, sharing with Shanook, and was busy licking his muzzle clean while he casually strolled onward, letting his senses range out and reveling in all the sounds and scents he picked up on now his senses were sharper.

He was always the kind of man that enjoyed knowing his surroundings to get comfortable in, preferring to know if anyone was going to jump him or get to close.

idly, he wondered if he'd come across the Pack here...He could smell their scent everywhere and there were many different kinds that he was picking up on, making his nose twitch on occasion.

Aeker gave a chuckle as he grasped Darragh's little hands and hoisted him into the air before setting him on his feet, then repeating the process.

"Shall we go find Daddy?"

He asked as he pulled the small boy up onto his shoulders as they walked through the forest.

November was over and Aodh had finally calmed down enough that they could have Darragh again, though his fiance had needed to take a run out in the woods to sate his wolf after being indoors for so long.

"I packed your favourites for lunch."

He had done some cooking this morning while Aodh had been out and Darragh had been playing with the twins.

"Aodh?"

He called out into the woods, knowing his mate would hear him.

Gabriel's ears twitched when he heard voices and he paused, Shanook doing the same and looking up at Gabe.

Tilting his muzzle upwards, Gabriel looked for a scent that was coming in the direction of the voice, quietly moving through the forest and keeping his ears and and tail low.

Eventually, he saw a silver haired man carrying a child. The man smelled of vampire, and had blood red eyes that didn't put Gabe at ease.

However, he seemed so gentle with the child...

Shanook, though, was cautious, and let out a low growl, not liking the powerful aura coming from this one. He smelled old and of blodd, and it unsettled the grey wolf greatly.

Gabriel looked down at Shanook and gently nipped his ear and silently telling him to calm down.

He then looked back up at the vampire and backed up a step, not wanting to scare the child at all, but Shanook only seemed to glare at the vampire ad had his hackles raised.

Aodh had been nimbly weaving through the trees, glad to be back in the forest after more than his fair share of time strung up in his bedroom.

His ears perked up when he heard the distant call of his name.

Aeker was around.

He began padding through the forest eagerly, looking forward to spending some time with him fiancé, and hopefully his son.

He gave a pleased purr when he caught sight of Aeker.

That purr, though, darkened into a deep warning growl when his ears picked up another low growl. His padding sped up and within seconds he had his side pressed against Aeker and was coiled up, growling softly at the other wolves.

No one would dare growl at his fiancé or son while he was around.

Darragh, completely oblivious to the angry growls his father was giving, reached out for the large red wolf, wriggling on his mother's shoulders so he could get to the Wolf.

Aeker looked up as he was growled up, furrowing his brow at the two wolves and not a moment later Aodh came and pressed against him.

"Careful Darragh."

He cooed as the boy try to squirm off of his shoulder, gently he let him down and placed him onto his Father's back, Aodh was large enough that the boy could be carried by him.

"Enough growling, from all of you, not with a child present, if you want a fight, find it else where."

He scolded, looking at the two new wolves, his gaze gentle but tone firm.

He wouldn't have anyone being a threat to his family and he didn't want to see Aodh in a fight.

The Vampire sat down and placed the bag he was carrying onto the floor

Gabriel took another step back and bowed his head at the clearly more dominant wolf, letting out a soft whine, showing he was no threat.

He gently growled at Shanook, who took that as his sign to calm down and remain quiet, the grey wolf bowing his head and tilting his ears back in apology.

"We mean no harm. I'm new here, and Shanook, my grey wolf, I cautious of new people. My name is Gabriel Santiago...I'm just here looking for a Pack to join." Gabriel explained to the other wolf, voice soft and submissive.

He was no Alpha wolf...hell, he didn't think he'd even be a Beta...He just wanted a place in a Pack that the Wolf in him was pining for.

Gabriel looked over at the kid, still keeping his head down so as not to aggitate the other Lycan, and gave a wolf version of a smile and wagged his tail a little in greeting.

He had a soft spot for kids after having younger sisters. He had helped to raise them when they were alive.

Aodh balked at Aeker as he fearlessly scolded all three growling wolves like it was nothing.

Oh how he had picked a strange one.

The Irishman huffed loudly when Darragh was placed down on his back. He dropped to the floor and laid out comfortably as his son used him like a climbing frame.

It made him give a Wolfish grin. He'd seen his great nephews climb over his nephew just like this and been green with envy because it hadn't happened to him. Now he had it and he was beyond happy.

"Don't threaten my family again and we won't have any problems."

The large Wolf rested his head in Aeker's lap as Darragh bounced on his back.

He was fearless because Aodh was here, he knew beyond doubt that the Beta would never let any harm come to their son, perhaps if he hadn't come so quickly he would have been more wary of the new wolves.

As it were he sat out comfortably on the grass, smiling softly as Aodh's head rested in his lap.

"Did you have fun at Aunty Moe's house Darragh?"

They had been lucky this year and Zeke had gone into heat at the beginning of the month whereas Aodh was closer to the end.

"You're here to join the pack?"

Aeker muttered with a small smile as he looked over at the two new wolves.

"You're lucky you caught Aodh on a good day then."

The Vampire gave a chuckle as he looked down at his mate, stronger wolves than these two had not been so fortunate when they had stepped onto pack land.

"Uh-huh," the boy chirped, pausing in pulling his father's ear to grin widely at his mother.

"Uncle Zeke is the best." The threw up his arms and made an excited noise. "He feeds all of us lots of yummy things, though aunt Moe always tells him off for it."

The boy grinned widely. "He's funny when he sulks. Acts like Aithar."

Under him, Aodh chuckled softly as he listened to his son. "Sounds like you had an interesting couple of weeks, huh?"

Gabriel curled around Shanook a little, tucking the wolf into his side so as to protect him.

Gabriel wasn't sure how Aodh would react around Shanook.

"Yes...I've never had a Pack before, But the Wolf in me is pining...How exactly does one go about joining the Pack?...It's a bit beyond my knowledge i'm afraid." He explained, his nerves making his spanish accent a little thicker as he kept a cautious eye on Aodh.

He didn't think that the other would outright attack him with his family there, at least not without a good reason, but the power radiating from this one made him nervous.

He was just a slightly larger than average Lycan, and not by much.

He knew he couldn't take this one down in a fight.....for the most part.

Aeker gave a soft chuckle at Darragh's story, it seemed that Zeke had been a little naughty with the sweets.

"Lets hope he didn't fill you with too many yummy things otherwise you wont want the treats that I baked this morning."

He replied, nudging his bag. With Aodh back to his senses and Darragh with them again he had been baking cakes all morning.

"I believe this is your domain, dear."

He muttered, running a hand over Aodh's fur, Aeker was a little bossy at times but he knew well enough to let the Beta be Beta and not to speak for him.

"If he can't eat his sweets, then I'll have to eat them for him. Problem solved."

Darragh gave a horrified gasp. "No!!"

Daddy couldn't eat his sweets! That was mean.

Aodh's head lifted lazily to gaze at the other Lycan. He was quite enjoying his time with his family.

At the question, though, a grinch-like mischievous grin curled his lips. How does one go about joining a pack? Oh the possibilities there were never ending

Gabriel gulped and lowered his head a little in anticipation.

He got the feeling that this Aodh wasn't going to be kind to him.

Shanook whined softly and nuzzled Gabriel, pressing himself against his Master's legs and gently licked him in comfort.

Gabriel huffed in thanks and raised his head back up again to show he wasn't a pushover, but didn't make direct eye contact so as to Challenge the clearly stronger other wolf.

He knew he wasn't the most dominant out there, so he would act accordingly, letting his instincts guide him

Aeker took one look at Aodh's grin and shook his head, the poor pup was in for it now.

His fiance was cruel at the best of times and now the young wolf had just put himself into a position where Aodh was free to abuse his role in the pack.

"Poor, foolish pup."

Aeker murmured, giving the man a gentle smile.

The Wolf stood carefully, making sure to keep his son steady on his back before loping towards the other Wolves. Darragh squealed in excitement, grasping at his father's thick fur like he had seen people on TV grasp horse's manes.

"The first point of call is always to make your superiors happy, right?" he asked, his tone sly and his gaze set in a leer. "The best way to make a Wolf happy is through his stomach, of course."

His tail wagged like an excited puppy's.

"I think I fancy deer."

As things went, Gabriel didn't think it was too bad, which instantly made him cautious.

He wasn't worried about his hunting skills, as he prided himself in his skills, but was more worried about the catch.

"The catch of this?" Gabriel asked, ear tilting back slightly.

Surely he didn't seem so incompetent that the other wolf thought that hunting him down a deer would be an issue.
