[C] Lone Wolf - Page 5 Empty
PostSubject: Re: [C] Lone Wolf   [C] Lone Wolf - Page 5 EmptySat Jun 21, 2014 12:32 pm

The Wolf started to wake slowly, his body uncurling as he gave sluggish movements.

That song rung through his mind, lulling him into a sense of calm as he woke.

His head turned to the side as if being petted as he gave a soft whine.

Theo...

He whined as he rolled over in his half aware, unsure of what was reality and what was a dream. His human mind was still in there and he had let his guard come down enough to let a small amount of it seep through.

The great wolf rolled onto it's back with a happy whine, as if waiting for the person in his dream to stroke his stomach.

Theo's eyes narrowed in confusion at the soft whine of his name.

It... it couldn't be. He'd died. Lycus said he kept up with all the Wolves from his era and the only one alive was Ana. He had to have gone.

But...

"Eísai ólos o trópos ekeí, Zeph. Pó̱s tha páo̱ na eínai se thési̱ na sas katoikídio se óli̱ ti̱ diadromí̱ ekeí péra?" This was something he had said often when Zeph had deciding to roll over on his back after a nap and Alek was just too lazy to get up and pet him.

The man leaned forwards with baited breath, looking for the reaction his old friend would have given.

tempéli̱s koutávi

He responded without a moment passing, a soft growl sounding as he sluggishly crawled across the ground, dropping his body down in front of the man.

It was obvious enough from the way that he moved that he was still partly asleep, his mind and body was working purely off of memory, those memories weren't lost, just buried deep in the mind of the wolf and in his half doze he could access them.

Alek froze up in absolute shock when the Wolf began to crawl across the ground.

Zephyros. It was really him.

When the Wolf settled down in front of him, his hand reached through the bars to stroke his stomach like he used to do. All those long years ago.

"Lípos géros," he countered in a soft teasing voice as his fingers ran through the soft fur at the Wolf's stomach.

lipósarko runt

He growled back before giving a soft whine as the fingers ran through his fur.

His body was glossy and black though his fur had a grittiness to it from lack of washing.

He got cleaned off from the rain and running through rivers but it was obvious that he hadn't shifted and bathed properly in a long time.

His body arched into the touches though each stroke was lulling him out of his dream-like state.

"Poion eípes lipósarko? Géros san na eínai oi lipósarko af̱tá. Eímai néos kai gemátos zo̱í̱," Alek insisted with a grin.

How long had it been since he had been able to do this? Three thousand years? Had to be that.

He missed this so much.

The wolf gave a soft chortle at those words, Theo had been the only one, aside from their mother who could get away with talking to him like that.

Leaning up he gave the man's arm a playful nip. Just because he got away with it doesn't mean there weren't consequences, no matter how mild.

The more he woke the more the Wolf demanded control and the man's consciousness was pushed back to rest.

He blinked for a moment as he shook off the fuss of sleep, a deep growl sounding as he realized he was so close to the Alpha.

The Wolf got to it's feet quickly and snarled as he backed away to the far end of the cage.

Alek smiled, the warm feeling in his chest swelling.

Zephyros. Out of anyone it could be, Zephyros had stumbled on his pack.

The warm feeling made way for a deep stab of hurt when the Wolf woke completely and backed away from him.

The wolf shook his head violently as he tried to clear his mind.

He was confused and afraid, trapped in a cage where he couldn't protect himself or hide.

The man saw a friend but the wolf saw a foe, a threat, someone who had caged him and taken away his freedom.

One thing ran true for both of them, neither of them wanted to be trapped here.

"Zephyr," he murmured softly, sadness in his silver eyes.

"Don't shut me out. You know who I am. You remember me. I know you do."

Now he knew who it was, he was desperate to bring this Wolf back. He wanted to see his old friend in all his glory again.

Traitor! Betrayer!

The Wolf snarled back, snapping his strong jaws at the man who caged him.

He thrashed in his fury before charging at the door of the cage, causing it to rattle as he struck it with his body with all the brute force he could muster.

He wanted out, he would get free again.

"No more than you yourself, Zephyr."

He took a step back when the Wolf launched himself at the door.

Alek inhaled deeply before doing something he rarely did. He et his presence bare down on the man; showing him how truly strong of an Alpha he was.

This was something even his mother would find uncomfortable to deal with and she was far older than the Wolf in front of him.

"Lay down. Now." His voice held a dark growling tone unlike any other tone he had used before.

The force of the Alpha's order nearly knocked the air out of him.

Zephyr was a strong and able male, enough so that he could challenge Aleksandr if he wished to.

But even among dominant Alpha's there were things that made some stronger than others, Aleksandr had a pack behind him, that pack boosted his power more than anything, he was also mated, a mated wolf was a calmer, more calculating wolf.

He was at a huge disadvantage, he was feral and alone, a lone wolf was normally a dead wolf.

He gave a fierce snarl yet managed to stay on his feet, lifting his head proudly as he growled at the man.

His serene expression darkened into an angry snarl that Alek rarely wore.

"Now is not the time to mess with me, Zephyros."

His voice was lined with ice. Each word was chilling. "Drop. To. The. Floor."

Alek wasn't playing.

Even if it took a handful of orders beating against the Wolf, he would have him on the floor in front of him.

How many years had he being running? How many full moons had he spent on his own, enduring it's affects, countless mating seasons had rolled by without him coming into contact with anyone.

He had been running, hiding, searching, and now he had finally found what he had been searching for and it might just be too late.

The Wolf's head tossed back in a mournful howl, the anguish in the sound would move even the most heartless and jaded of creatures.

The creature buckled under the force of the order, almost losing his footing but he forced himself back up, his own power pushing back against the Alpha's demand.

Leave!

He demanded, issuing his own order in a challenge to the Alpha.

The howl almost made Alek crumble.

Almost.

There was an obvious crack in his demeanour when he cringed back, though. He'd never wanted to hear that noise from someone important to him. Least of all Zephyr.

"TO THE FLOOR!"

There were no hushed orders. He was yelling now, almost throwing his presence and demands at the stubborn Wolf.

The pure force of the order knocked the air from his lungs, every fiber of his body told him to yield. The Wolf had taken over, and the wolf understood dominance, those beneath the Alpha had to obey.

If the man had been in control perhaps he could have put up a fight, but he had given into the beast.

With a high pitched whine his legs buckled beneath him, forcing his head to the ground as he crumbled.

Fighting it left him heaving, his head aching and spinning as he panted heavily.

Alek stared down at the Wolf laying on the floor.

"Look at what you've become." He felt the hot bile forcing its way up his throat.

Seeing Zephyros like this really was sickening.

The Wolf's body was still tense, as if being held down on the ground by invisible restraints.

He panted heavily as his gaze reached the Alpha's, looking him in the eye would be seen as a challenge yet the wolf had the audacity to stare at him, refusing to drop his gaze.

He gave a growl, his muscles twitching beneath his fur, trying fruitlessly to force themselves to move.

"Calm down," he murmured softly when the Wolf struggled.

"Calm down."

The bard rattled, one bending under the force as he punched at the cage.

"JUST FUCKING CALM DOWN!" he yelled loudly.

Reluctantly the wolf dropped it's gaze, something about seeing this man so wound up made him feel unease.

It stirred something inside of him that told him this was dangerous.

Already under his order the Wolf's body relaxed, his body slumping as he gave up, if he continued to fight, he would end up dead.

Slowly he let his head roll to the side, looking away in shame as he exposed his throat to the Alpha.

Alek's chest was heaving with his heavy breaths, his face was flushed with anger.

He couldn't remember the last time he had snapped like that. This sort of anger was so rare to him. Even when he was young it had been a rare type of anger.

His legs shook before buckling. He dropped to his knees and gripped the bars of the cage, his power receding.

The Wolf gave a soft whine, afraid to make too much noise in case he angered the Alpha again.

He wanted to leave this place, but he didn't want to die.

He took a gasped breath as the Alpha's power receded, it had weighed so heavily on him that he had been afraid of suffocating under it.

His gaze stayed down on the ground as his entire body was pressed to the floor, not daring to move.

"Traitor," Alek murmured softly.

"You've thrown that word around a lot, haven't you? Calling me a traitor. What for, I wonder?"

He pushed himself up with his grip on the bars and stood on shaky legs.

"What could you possibly call me a traitor for when you yourself are so-" He blew a heavy breath from his nose. "At least I remembered you. That's more than you can say, isn't it?"

His eyes had an almost shiny look to them as they locked onto the Wolf's body.

"How could you give up everything and fucking forget me?" he asked in a broken whisper.

He didn't try to move from his place on the floor, he lay their prone and vulnerable.

There was no reason to get up, the anger had been force from his body and made way for something far more potent.

Loneliness.

He had been lost for so long, searching for something yet he had forgotten what it was a long time ago so he wandered aimlessly.

His gaze lifted but they landed on the man's mouth, unable to push them higher to lock their gaze.

Despite the fact he was listening to the Alpha's words his ears pinned down against his head and his tale tucked itself between his legs.
