[Possible Future][C] Experimentation

Letting Darragh follow his art career was definitely something the Vampire wanted.

Darragh only had a little while longer left of his schooling. It wasn't as if the boy had the worry about money or anything like that, they could provide for him.

If he wanted to work that was up to him.

Aeker saw far more value in his skills than his ability to go out into human society and earn a pay check.

Aodh whistled for the old dog laid out on the floor and motioned for him to attack the two men on the bed.

The dog grumbled but stood. This dog was less affectionate than Maccon. Aodh really missed the old girl. He'd been devastated when she had died.

The dog jumped up onto the bed and pounced on Darragh, laying his head on Aeker's chest and looking up at him silently.

Aodh stood and joined the family on the bed, stroking the dogs head gently as he leaned over to press a kiss to Aeker's lips.

Every dog was completely different, Maccon had definitely been one in a million.

They all missed her and it had been hard to see her go but sadly canine lives were even shorter than human ones.

Aeker didn't mind the old boy, he was quiet and happy to just lay around all day, sharing the rare cuddle when he was in the mood.

He kissed his Lycan back as one hand stroked through Darragh's hair and the other gently rubbed beneath the dog's chin.

Darragh liked the old boy, too. He didn't remember much of Maccon so he'd always been Darragh's dog. The one that stuck with him through all the years; been there during it all.

Now the poor thing was getting old himself. It made Darragh a little sad to see him getting closer and closer to leaving them.

It made it worse knowing that that was what Aodh and Aeker probably felt when thinking about him. He still showed no signs of shifting like they had all hoped.

"Look at us. One big fucked up family," Aodh chuckled.

"Fucked up is right," Darragh agreed with a snigger.

"Language."

Aeker scolded softly, a small smile gracing his lips. Those two really were alike.

They had once talked about trying to have children of their own, the technology was there now and it was possible to mix their genes but neither of them had decided to do that.

They had Darragh, the boy was all they needed and if the worst were to happen and it turned out the boy was mortal he doubted they would ever have children again.

Leaning down he pressed a kiss to Darragh's forehead then leaned up to kiss Aodh again.

"English," Darragh replied sassily, grinning up at his mother.

He had also spent a lot of time with Alexis and had learned a lot of her sass, much to Aeker and Aodh's chagrin. Darragh was an O'Ceallaigh-Rozen through and through and every little thing he did proved that.

Darragh cuddled up against Aeker, smiling softly.

"It doesn't seem like five minutes ago that you would scold me for swearing 'cause your mom didn't like it and now you're dealing with her scolding, too. Funny world, isnt it?"

Aeker's smile quirked up into a little grin, Darragh was such a little shit when he wanted to be, he had picked up Alexis' wit, that was for sure.

"You spend too much time with my sister."

The Vampire sighed, shaking his head as Darragh cuddled up to him, his hand still stroking through the boy's hair.

"He use to be such a well mannered boy, you've influenced him Aodh."

"There's never such thing as too much time with aunt Lex."

He love being around Lex. She was a lot of fun. And Tahir had opened up a lot since he was a little kid. He had fun chatting with the two of them. Sitting a fourteen year old Jem always bought a few euro's to his pocket, too, which he enjoyed greatly.

"Not sorry," Aodh chuckled softly.

Darragh was growing up to be a little Aodh and the Lycan loved it.

"I'd disagree with that, very strongly."

As much as he loved his sister she could be a little overwhelming sometimes.

"I honestly don't know why I bother scolding either of you, you're both as stubborn as each other."

There was no way he could get either of them to stop using foul language or being vulgar.

"You can. Me and Aunt Lex don't and that's all that matters."

In unison, the two Irishmen nuzzled against the Vampire. "You wouldn't have us any other way," Darragh chuckled softly.

Aodh nipped his husband's neck roughly.

"Life wouldn't be complete without us the way we are."

They had too many flaws to count, but they were a happy family.

Aeker nuzzled back against his two boys, ruffling both of their hair affectionately before giving each of them a peck on the forehead.

This was the kind of family the Vampire had always yearned for and when Darragh was close to them he couldn't feel happier, the boy had become the center of their universe.

"That's true, I love you both, just the way you are."

He could scold them as much as he wanted but he wouldn't change them for the world.

Aodh leaned up to feather a gentle kiss to his lover's lips.

Darragh pulled a face. "Ewwwwwww. Mommy and Aithar are kissinggggg," he sang in an imitation of the way all children did when they thought something was gross.

The boy yelped as he jerked away from Aeker, trying to avoid his dad's hand as it lashed out to swat him.

"If you think that's gross. You should see what we do when you're not around. Now that's gross, isn't it, dear?" The Lycan grinned widely.

Aeker chuckled at the two of them, he was sure Darragh had seen and done worse than a little kissing now that he was grown up.

"Gross is a matter of opinion, I happen to find it quite enjoyable."

The Vampire replied with a little grin, perhaps it was time to scar the boy with the knowledge that his parents were actually intimate.

"Try not to scar him too much with the details, Love."

"I don't want to know!" Darragh yelled as Aodh opened his mouth with a grin.

The boy shot up into a sitting position, geared up ready to make a dash for the door so he didn't have to hear what Aodh had to say about his sex life.

The Lycan didn't get the chance to say anything about his sex life. He'd burst into laughter as soon as Darragh had yelled out and was currently holding his side as he tried to breathe.

Darragh huffed and hesitantly laid back against Aeker again. "Keep your husband on a leash," he murmured sulkily. He didn't want to have to deal with Aodh telling him everything about his sex life.

Aeker laughed along with the Lycan as Darragh jumped up and yelled.

The Vampire was too much of a private person to let Aodh gossip about their sex life, least of all to their son.

"I do."

Aeker replied with a mischievous smirk.

"When you're not around."

He really did have the best reactions and he couldn't help but push Darragh's buttons.

Darragh groaned, slapping Aeker's stomach.

"What part of I dont want to know do you two not understand?" he whined, burying his face in Aeker's neck as if that action would save him from having to listen to the two of them.

"Everything you say about it now will go up on the notice board next to the common room in school," he threatened.

"Everyone will know what you two do behind closed doors."

He held up a hand, pointing it at Aodh. "I don't want to know about the times you did it behind open doors or anything of the like."
