"No, leather wouldn't last long..."

He replied, they had only been intimate once and already his collar was damaged, it didn't help that he had been wearing it since he was changed, all those days locked up thrashing and trying to get free had ruined the leather.

Rayner hummed and went to look over the ones that were only metal, they had to be strong.

After a few moments he had decided upon two different ones, they looked nice, only made of metal and strong locks on them and would suit Rayner's body well.

He went over to the mirror, pressing each one against his neck, the shackle was cold against his skin, hard but the rounded edges made it comfortable enough to wear, the other was a steal collar, braided cable that allowed to metal to bend around his throat.

Both of them looked attractive, both wouldn't break and allowed for tags or bells to be clipped onto them.

"Cy?"

He muttered, looking through the aisles for him.

"I think I found some she might like."

Cy had been looking over a few rather pleasant looking whips when he was called over.

He abandoned them with a desperate backwards glance as he padded towards his boy.

His eyes flickered over the two collars in his Fledgeling's grip.

"Show me what they look like." He wanted to see what Ray looked like with them pressed to his throat. "Have you got a preference for one over the other?"

He definitely had a preference already, but he couldn't outright tell him which one. Not with their fabricated story. It really was a shame that they had to hide this.

He unclasped the first one, the solid metal and wrapped it around his throat above his existing collar, the metal ring sitting nicely against the front of his throat.

Once he removed that he placed the braided steel cable in it's place, sliding the lock through the front but not clicking it into place, the lock sat against his throat while the cable wrapped around it.

Both pieces looked nice against his pale flesh.

"This one is more comfortable."

He admitted as he took off the cable and handed it out for Cy to inspect.

"I'm going to be wearing it every day, this one is pretty...."

He muttered, lifting up the shackle.

"But sleeping in it might get uncomfortable."

Cy tilted his head a little.

Yes, he definitely had a preference.

"You have to be as comfortable in your collar as you are in your submission to her. Which one feels right? Which one feels like her caress against your throat?"

Cy had always believed that a collar had to be comfortable and durable and feel right. His emerald eyes hazed with lust as he looked down at the cabled one.

It was the embodiment of Cy, strong and relentless, but when it wavered, when it gave in, there were moment of tenderness, it could be gentle and harsh.

"That one."

He muttered, nodding toward the one in Cy's grasp, a small smile gracing his lips.

"It feels like her."

A little smirk curled Cy's lips.

He chose the one that Cy would have chosen for him had he been given the choice.

"Then you'll get that one for her. I'm sure she'll love putting it on you tonight." He smirked darkly. "Now, I saw some lovely toys further back in the shop that I think she may also like."

He tilted his head, motioning for Ray to follow him as he returned to the whips.

The Vampire purred as he picked up a beautifully made whip. Gorgeous white leather with thick knots at the end of each strand. He couldn't help but admire it as he ran the strands over his fingers.

He could only picture the lovely marks they'd leave on Ray's skin.

Rayner followed after him, he knew deep down that he had made the right choice, it felt right, he knew he would rather wear that one than the one around his neck, through he wanted to keep it, this one had memories, he'd had to see it thrown away.

He couldn't help but shiver as he saw Cy with that whip in his hand, he looked as though he was meant to have it, it could already see the man standing over him, lashing it against his skin.

"That looks painful."

He muttered, unless you knew how he spoke normally you wouldn't be able to hear how his tone had lowered, become slightly more husky in his lust.

"I think she would like to put me in my place with that."

"I think so, too. It's the perfect gift for her."

He already couldn't wait to get home.

Keeping his focus on not letting his fangs out was much harder when he was alone, without Cy by his side keeping him stable he could feel himself sinking into dark thoughts.

True to his words, a few minutes later, Cy appeared behind the Fledgeling with his own bag in hand.

He'd promised the boy that he was going to keep him in line. Ray wouldn't get the chance to hurt anyone here. Not yet. Not for a long, long while. Cy would keep this promise to his dying breath if that's what Ray wanted.

"Now, get your ass up and march yourself back to our apartment. We have a date with a new collar and a whip."

This was a date that he was planning not to stand up.

Rayner's head shot up as soon as he was touched, his eyes were wide, wild, the beast was losing control, it wanted blood so badly.

He started to pant softly through his nose as he was instructed to breath, keeping his mouth closed, it was obvious his fangs were out behind them.

Slowly he got to his feet, grasping onto Cy's hand firmly, he leaned against the man for a moment, taking in his scent, replacing the smell of many with the smell of only one.

He managed to calm himself down enough to be able to walk through the people though his fangs wouldn't retract, he was too hungry for that.

"Lets go home then."

He muttered, not parting his lips much when he spoke, he couldn't do this anymore, the temptation was too high, his will wasn't as strong as it had been an hour ago.

He was eager to go back now, they were going to play.

Ray had to please him a lot to let him feed, though.

He muttered in a husky growl, his body straining to stay in place.

"Good," Cy purred.

"Time to replace your collar. The new one will look prettier."

It had only been two weeks since he had bought that collar for him and it was already tattered and frayed. Ray had done a number on it when he was attempting to escape.

The collar loosened and Cy gently pulled it away from him, setting it down on the bed. He removed the tag and bell, sliding then onto the new lock then enclosing the new collar around his throat.

He clicked it shut then tapped the bell.

He smiled as the little metallic noise sounded.

A new collar.

"That looks better, doesn't it, honey?" He much preferred this new collar. It wasn't big or bulky. It was thin but not too thin. Light but not easily broken. They'd chose well.
