[C][M] The Return

Despite Cy not being fond of biting at people's neck, Rayner loved it, he wanted to be up close to the man, this way their faces were intimately close, his ear was near the man's heart so he could heart it beating and most of all, their bodies could press together.

Rayner pressed up against him, his arms wrapping around his shoulders as he leaned in, digging all four of his fangs deep into Cyneric's neck.

Blood rushed eagerly into his mouth, filling it faster through four open wounds.

He swallowed quickly, taking in every drop he could.

Being pierced with four fangs was different than two.

He remembered it. He missed the feeling. So much.

Now he could feel it again. He could remember the last times through Ray.

The Vampire's hands came up to grip Ray's shoulders as the boy began to drink from him, crushing the boy to his chest.

Rayner pressed closer to the man, his fangs digging in deeper to his neck as a loud purr rumbled in his chest.

He was finally feeding, finally taking his fill.

The starved fledgling needed this so desperately, he hardly had the strength to stand under his own will at the moment.

Being left alone like he had been was wearing down his resistance but at the same time it was making him weak.

Cy knew when enough was enough with starving Fledgelings. He'd experimented enough with some of his to know how long to wait before something terrible happened.

He sat still, his hands resting on the boy's shoulders, head tilted back slightly.

The Vampire didn't complain, moan or whimper. He just waited.

His blue eyes were hidden behind his lids as his Fledgeling drank.

He was thinking. Remembering.

Rayner continued to drink, long and hard, taking as much as he possibly could.

He could finally feel the pain in his body fading, he would be ravenous again in a while but for now his beast had been quelled, drown under excessive amounts of blood.

Even when his stomach was full he didn't stop feeding, he didn't have the will power to stop himself, until he was pulled away from the man he would continue, no doubt by now his Sire would be feeling the effects of blood loss.

Cy could feel the edges of his vision begin to fray.

"I have such a greedy boy. Come on, that's enough."

He attempted to coax the boy away from his neck gently. He wanted Ray to start learning self control sooner rather than later.

If he could pull himself away from his neck instead of needing Cy to stop him, Cy would be very very pleased.

When he was coax he reluctantly pulled his fangs out of the man's flesh, his tongue stroking over the puncture wounds before he sat back.

Rayner sat in the man's lap as he had days prior, nuzzling against him affectionately.

He was hazed in the after glow of feeding, his mood lifting as the pain in his jaw lifted and the ache in his empty stomach was replace by warmth, he had devoured Cyneric's life.

Cy allowed a bright smile when Ray pulled back.

"Good boy," he crooned happily, stroking his fingers through the Fledgeling's hair.

Ray had done well. He was pleased. Actually proud of the boy.

"It's still dark. What say we get you cleaned up then go for a walk around?"

The boy deserved it for being able to control himself enough to pull away from him like that.

"That is, as long as you can behave and not try to run off."

"I already promised never to run off again."

He muttered, he did want to keep his promise to the man, from his last attempt he knew that getting away from Cyneric wouldn't be as easy as he had thought.

He couldn't bring himself to run, the feeling off loss as soon as he had stepped out of that door with that intent had torn him apart, his Sire was a part of him, no matter how much he resented him.

Rayner needed to be clean, the blood from two days ago had dried and stained his skin, the man looked horrible and the smell that clung to him wasn't much better.

"Good. Go get showered. You're getting a little too ripe even for my nose."

His nose wrinkled as if smelling a putrid scent, though his eyes were bright and laughing and a little smile was curling his lips.

"Let's go down into town and see if there's any fun to be had."

He wanted to get out and about and see all the new exciting things in this town. He'd only been around the town once and he'd been looking specifically for an adult shop then.

Going out and just looking around would be nice.

Rayner pulled himself off of the bed, groaning as his limbs stretched out, getting to walk around was becoming a luxury.

He made his way into the bathroom, purposely leaving the door open in case Cyneric felt the need to check on him as he often did.

He turned on the water as hot as it would go, groaning out as the stream of fresh water cleaned his skin, the water swirling down the drain was dark red.

He let the water soak him through before he moved to wash his hair thoroughly along with his skin, scrubbing until he couldn't smell the blood.

Cy busied himself with rolling himself a smoke as he waited for the boy to be done.

He leaned back on the bed and inhaled as he lit up.

Going out to see the town would be nice.

He could parade Ray around so everyone could see what a pretty boy he had.

"Don't forget to shave," he called out. "You're getting scruffy again."

He looked down at his naked body, it was true, he could see the dark dustings of hair over his body, he sigh softly and began to shave, actually enjoying having an excuse to let the hot water beat against his back for a while.

Once he was cleaned, shaved and his hair was no longer mattered with clots of blood he stepped out of the shower and dried off.

He wrapped his towel around his waist and walked back into the room, moving over to the wardrobe to find something to wear into town.

Cy stood when the boy opened up the wardrobe.

He leaned over his Fledgeling's shoulder, reaching over him to flick through the different sets of clothing.

He pulled out a pair of dark jeans and a dark blue button-down shirt.

"These."

He wanted his boy to wear those tonight.

Rayner was a little taken back when he was handed the clothes but didn't argue, he was going to go outside, right now he would do what ever Cyneric told him to.

He pulled on the clothes, noting that his hands sat a little looser than before, requiring him to put on a belt, he had lost weight over the last few weeks.

He put on some shoes before moving back over to his Sire, looking over at him hopefully, he was clean and dressed.

Cy let his eyes move over his boy slowly for a moment before reaching forwards to unbutton the top few buttons of his shirt, opening it to a few of the top of his chest.

"Now you're ready. Let's go."

He hummed happily as he grasped Ray's hand, pulling him towards the front door almost like an excited puppy that was being taken out on a walk.

He couldnt wait to parade Ray around.

He couldn't help but smile as he was rushed to the front door, he didn't think he would get this opportunity for a long time.

As soon as they were outside and a gust of fresh air hit him he purred loudly, the air inside was so stale, it smelled horrible in there.

Being outside his senses were alight, he could smell everything, the dew on the grass, the flowers by the edge of the patio, the fact that there was a cat up in the tree above them.

His hand tightened around Cyneric's as he looked around, staring up at the night sky, his smile widening.

"And you were complaining about living in the night a week ago," Cy snorted.

He grinned down at the boy as he led him towards town.

He wanted everyone to see him with his boy. Everyone could be jealous of him because he had Ray and they didn't.

He'd laugh at them all given half a chance.

The Vampire's grin widened as he slid his arm around the boy's shoulders instead of just holding his hand.

The man's smile wavered for a moment.

"I wish I could have seen the sun one last time, sprawled out on the grass and let it warm me through...It will kill me now, wont it?"

He asked, knowing the answer as his own arm wrapped around Cyneric's waist.

"Will you let me out of the house more now?"

He wondered, nestling his head in against the man's shoulder, he didn't want to be trapped so often.

"Yes."

The sun was a powerful, dangerous thing for them. They could never see it again.

Well, Ray couldn't. Cy had never spent a day in the sun before.

"What's it like? The...the daytime?" He was curious.

The Vampire nodded. "If you play nice, I play nice," he replied simply. If Ray put forward the effort to be nice, he'd put forward the effort, too.

"I see." He muttered frowning slightly, he could never set foot outside during the day

"You've never been in the sun?"

He asked, he had just assumed that at some point in time, someone had changed Cyneric into a Vampire as well.

"It's different, at night everything is covered in a blue hue from the moon and the stars.

Daylight is much brighter and everything is bathed in yellow, nothing feels better than rays of light on your skin, warming you so gently. It's like a gentle caress, not harsh like a fire or a heater."

He replied dreamily, he missed it already, being out in the sunlight.

"I'm pureblood."

Born, not turned. He had never had the chance to go out in the sun before. He was truly a creature of the Shadows.

"I've seen it." The day time. "In movies and paintings. Photographs."

But he'd never been out in it. And...he could picture the feeling.

His skin had never felt the gentle rays of the sun.

His hand rested atop Ray's on his hip. The Fledgeling's skin was pale, but Cy's was so much more so. His was almost translucent white. He'd never been in the sun. Never gotten a tan or burnt. He'd always been this unhealthily pale.

"Movies and pictures aren't the same."

He muttered, nothing was the same as walking out into the sunlight and just sitting, nothing more, just sitting beneath it and letting it wrap around you.

"I'll see it again some day."

He promised to himself to lift his mood again, even if it was the day that he died, if he grew tied of living with an indefinite number of years ahead of him.

"But for now, the moon will do."

He added, looking up at it with a small smile, the moon was just as lovely.

"I know."

Movies and pictures were something to stare at in longing, but they'd never be it. Never be the heat that he wanted to feel against his skin.

Cy pressed his lips together firmly, pulling Ray closer.

He understood the implications of that all to well.

His Fledgeling was already thinking about his own death. That weighed heavily on him. People around him always died. They always found a way to die. Talked about it, thought about it, did it.

He hated it.

Cy ran his hand through the Fledgeling's hair idly as the finally entered the town area. There were people around. Quite a few.

He nuzzled closer to Ray, nipping his ear gently.

"I know."
