[C] The Worst Idea to Date

Dick's shoulders relaxed at Moe's words. Even if they weren't a comfort to Fleck, they were a comfort to him. And he was going to make sure Fleck was careful tonight. He wanted it to heal over quickly.

He threw Giacinto another glare, then in a twist of events, he was thankful for Alek's comment. Even if earlier today he was tempted to bite his head off. For speaking rudely about Giacinto of all things.

"You're being melodramatic," he said to Giacinto.

The coffee machine beeped and began pouring his americano.

"You're not an incubus. Don't you remember how needy Ignacio was? That wasn't just because he enjoyed seeing you blush."

Succubae and Incubi actually needed sex.

Both Italians in the room wrinkled their noses in distaste as Dick poured his americano.

"How can you drink that watered down swill?" Giacinto asked. She was a true Italian when it came to coffee.

Dick pursed his lips. He really didn't need a reminder of how needy Ignacio was.

He held the coffee protectively against his chest.

"It makes it last longer."

He could drink espresso's easily and enjoy them. But if he drank them as regularly as "watered down swill" he would probably become a shaking mess while bouncing off the walls.

Both Giacinto and Fleck shook their heads then.

That just wasn't coffee etiquette here in Italy. Coffee wasn't made to last a long time. You were supposed to drink it quickly then be on your way.

Ignoring the judging Italian's, Dick made his way back over to Moe and Fleck. He stood behind his boyfriend, resting his free hand on his shoulder.

"Are you almost done?"

Moe nodded her head. "Un."

She stepped back and scrunched up the wipe she'd been cleaning his face with. "All done. You're free to go."

"Thank you, uh...?" He didn't know her name.

"Moe."

"Thanks, Moe."

Dick smiled also thanked Moe as he inspected Fleck. Yeah, she did a much better job of cleaning and patching up Fleck then he would have done.

He took the first aid kit away from the table, putting it back into its rightful place and throwing away any rubbish.

Snacks and coffee in hand he turned to Fleck.

"Ready to go?"

"Yeah, sure."

He stood up and gave a little smile (so as not to ruin Moe's hard work) to the gathering. "Thanks."

Then he moved to follow Dick.

Dick laced his fingers with Fleck's again and lead him in the direction of the games room. Once they were far away enough from the kitchen and Dick judged they probably went back to enjoying each others company, he spoke.

"You know, that didn't go as terribly as I thought it would."

"What did you expect? Complete pandemonium?"

He didnt even have to ask that. He knew that was exactly what Dick expected. Dick seemed to be wary any time they met with anyone that lived here today. That hadn't passed by Fleck's notice.

So Dick probably expected the worst every time he met a new member of the supernatural club.

Dick gave an unsure shrug.

"Maybe?"

It wouldn't be the first time there was complete pandemonium. And not at his fault.

"The speaking with Alek earlier didn't go too well. And Giacinto is, well, Giacinto."

"And you're too hot-headed for your own good."

Fleck ruffled Dick's hair teasingly.

If Dick didn't react quite as strongly to the teasing and banter then maybe he wouldn't have so much to fear from confrontation.

But that was coming from one of the youngest in a massive family. He was almost a saint at this point, so he knew not everyone could be as relaxed as he was most of the time.

Dick huffed but didn't answer back. Fleck was right. He was too hot-headed for his own good. Something he has tried to gain control of all these years - especially recently.

Dick led them round a corner.

"Oh, I got you snack's!"

He lifted them up, along with the coffee, to show Fleck.

"I don't know if they are any good or not, though. It was just the first thing I saw to look like it would be sweet."
