"I don't believe you," Dario replied.

But he left it where it was. It was up to Silt to decide whether he was going to continue the act or not.

The human tugged gently at a lock of hair before padding off with his tray.

Silt didn't look fine.

Dario didn't have to believe him, honestly he didn't know why he was trying so hard to be partnered with the man, or why it bothered him that it wasn't going to happen.

Probably because Dario was the first person that had showed him any type enjoyment in the overworld. A few others had shown him mercy but they were all linked to Belial, they were not people he wanted to think about.

The night droned on as he took and endless amount of orders and delivered them.

Any attempt from the customers to flirt or touch him was quickly shut down, he wasn't here for that anymore, he had decided, with what little power he had over his fate here that he was just going to be a waiter, a foolish act of defiance but he was going to stick to it, even if his attitude meant that barely any money lined his pockets at all.

By the end of the night he was simply ready to go back to the coven to rest, as such he headed straight out the back and pulled off the stupid costume, eagerly yanking on his jeans and shirt.

"You've been off since you disappeared on our break," Dario said as Silt passed him to pull on his clothes.

"What happened?"

He would admit that he was worried about the Demon.

"Someone say something nasty or something? People could choke on your black aura."

"I wish they would."

He replied, having everyone around him dropping dead would be in improvement.

"Everything is fine Dario, working here is just a little bit more difficult that I imagined."

He had thought it would be smooth sailing, that he could cozy up to the human owner and have everything his way, it would have been easier.

He hadn't been expecting a Jin, and he hadn't been expecting the fact that he was a Demon to be the thing holding him back.

"Difficult? For you?"

Dario was honestly shocked at that idea.

How could working here be difficult for Silt? The Demon was beautiful and confident. Dario was certain that the man would go far in the club.

And he was finding it difficult?

"What's making it difficult for you?"

He was beautiful and confident, but he was also a Demon, and that was the issue, he was unpredictable, prone to outbursts and devastatingly strong.

He was holding himself back, he wouldn't be popular here because the manager couldn't trust him to behave himself and that made all the words and promises in the world worthless.

"I've decided to join the wait staff permanently, that's all you need to know. Please don't bring it up again."

He replied, all Silt wanted was to get on with his job, steal passing glances at Dario and not cause the human any more trouble.

"All right."

He didn't want to push the Demon if it was annoying him.

Dario stood, reaching out to ruffle the Demon's hair affectionately. "If that's what you want."

Dario was slightly disappointed.

He had hoped the two of them could fight a little more and get themselves a show every now and again.

Silt leaned into the touch in his hair, he felt like shit but contact helped. The Demon caved a little, moving over to the human and leaning up against him before his arms wrapped around the man's waist.

"It's not what I want, but it's the best that I could do."

He murmured softly, half hoping that Dario wouldn't hear him. Neither of them were going to get what they wanted, the manager hated Dario and thought Silt was a liability, they weren't going to be partnered.

The Demon's tone carried even if Dario couldn't quite make out the words.

His fingers ran through Silt's hair gently as the Demon's arms wrapped around him.

He didn't like seeing the man down like this.

The man hummed softly as his fingers continued to run through his hair gently.

He gave a soft little purr as his hair was stroked and the man hummed for him, it did make him feel better.

Silt was starting to like this human, he was the kindest one he had met in the world so far.

"I really should get home, it's late and we have work again tomorrow."

He replied, at this point work was simply a distraction and it would remain that way if he tips he was getting stayed his low, he chances of moving away from the coven was dwindling.

"Yeah, s'pose I should, too."

He didn't want to leave, though. Well... He wanted to leave work, he just didn't want to leave Silt.

It was obvious the Demon was upset by something and he didn't want him to be alone and let that upset feeling fester into something worse.

The human didn't move. He'd wait for Silt to pull away.

Silt wanted to stay with Dario but if the man kept cuddling up to him like he was doing he knew he would weaken and tell him everything.

He didn't want the man feeling guilty or upset at the fact that their shows just weren't going to happen.

As such he forced himself to pull away after giving him one last little kiss.

"Goodnight Dario, I'll see you at work tomorrow."

He replied, picking up his jacket and pulling it on, padding out before he had a chance to get sucked back in.
