How interesting, that the human showed the most worry when Gerhard went to leave.

What an unusual mind this Den character had.

Gerhard gave a little shrug and then couldn't help but let a sadistic smile slip.

"You can either trust I'll be back and wait for me, or you can call for help and let one of your neighbors find you like this. Your choice." He said, and then exited before Den had time to say anything in response.

Den's lips quivered a little at the ultimatum.

He'd have to wait. If he called out for help, not one person would bother to come for him. This place wasn't a place full of nice people. If anything, hearing that he needed help would prompt people to steal what they could from his place while he was out for the count.

Resigned to waiting for the man to (possibly) return, Den slumped against the bed, his blue eyes slipping shut.

What Gerhard did in the time he was gone remained a mystery. Though when he returned to Den's house, it had been several hours. The poor boy was passed out from blood loss.

Gerhard was pleased to find that Den was still tied up. He made quick work of untying the human and getting him dressed.

He then carried the boy to a hospital, able to make fast time due to being a vampire.

He took Den to the ER and checked him in, claiming to have just found him this way on the streets.

And then went on his way.

Den wouldn't know it, but he was the only one to ever be taken by Gerhard and live.
