"You haven't because of me." Fabian was stupid and he got into nasty situations frequently, but none that Aurick had gotten seriously injured in. He'd never been injured like this getting the Elf out of a bad situation.

He gave a sot, watery laugh when Aurick whacked him around the back of the head.

"I'm sorry. You're the one hurt, but I'm the one blubbering like a baby. I just fixed my make up, too."

"It's not as bad as it looks so stop feeling bad about it."

He muttered, slinging his good arm over the Elf's shoulders for support as they made their way into the Infirmary.

Aurick slumped down in a chair and lifted his broken arm into his lap.

"Grab a sling and a splint for me, has to be some around here somewhere."
He added, gazing around the room.

Luckily for him it was a clean snap, the bone didn't splinter at all and the bone hadn't pierced the skin.

Fabian sniffled with a little nod.

Stop feeling bad about it. Right. Easy to do. Just stop feeling bad. He could do that. He could stop feeling bad easily.

...Stopping feeling bad about it was much easier said than done.

The Elf obediently retrieved what Aurick told him to, holding them out for him, eyes flickering over him vampire's arm, biting his lip.

"Do you...need blood?"

He took the splint and placed it under his arm, tightening the straps until the bone was realigned and fastening it before opening the sling and placing his cast arm in it.

The arm would heal in a few days but he wouldn't be able to use it until then.

"Can you tie this around my neck?"
He asked, holding up the two ends of the sling, there was no way he could do it with one arm.

"That would probably help."
He confirmed with a soft nod, though he had not lost any blood his throat still ached from the Lycan's grasp.

Fabian moved until he was stood behind the chair Aurick was sat in.

He took both ends of the sling and tied them together around the vampire's neck, letting his arms slide around him to hum him back against his chest. "Don't... Don't get hurt for my sake again."

The Elf didn't want to be the cause of Rick's pain again.

He strolled around the vampire again, sitting himself carefully in his lap, eyeing the broken arm warily. He didn't want to accidentally nudge it or anything.

"Here." He offered his marked neck to the vampire. He wanted to get rid of the Wolf's mark on him as soon as possible. He wanted Rick to feed from that point, replace Evgeni's mark with his own.

"I can't promise you that, Fabian, if anyone attempts something like that again I will stop them, regardless if I get a little roughed up in the process."

There was no way in hell he would just get someone injure the Elf like that, yes Fabian annoyed him to no end and they quarreled constantly but he had grown accustomed to his presence and would no risk him getting hurt.

He eyed the mark on Fabian's neck with a soft glare, how a Lycan thought he would just pick on someone weak without reason was unknown to him.

Whether it was some cocky show of dominance or a hatred for Elves because of their history was unknown but he wouldn't have it happen again.

His good arm reached up and gripped the other side of Fabian's neck softly as he extended his fangs and moved his head in slowly, biting down softly on the marked skin and wrapping his lips around the wound, sucking slightly until blood filled his mouth.

"You have to," he whispered.

"You have to promise you wont get hurt because of me again. Please." He couldn't let the vampire get hurt again like this again because of him.

His eyes slid shut when the vampire's teeth pierced his skin. Rick's lips against his skin felt far better than Evgeni's. He preferred Rick's teeth leaving marks on his skin to Evgeni's. He liked Rick's hand touching his neck more than Evgeni's.

His fingers slid up into his vampire's dark hair, pulling him closer.

His eyes slid shut as he drank deeply, leaning against the younger man as he swallowed his blood eagerly.

The vampire had been spoiled, being able to drink Elven blood so regularly the past century, it didn't have that same metallic taste as human blood, no Fabian was far sweeter.

His fingers kneaded against the skin of his neck as he pulled him closer, taking a few more mouthfuls before pulling away reluctantly, licking the wound clean of blood.

For a Vampire Aurick had very strong self control, he had never drained Fabian to the point where it effected him.
Even the first time he bit the boy he had restrained himself from taking too much.

"I promise."
He muttered, his voice starting to sound a little clearer, he was lying to the Elf though, if Fabian ever called him for help he would always come to his aid regardless of promises.

When the vampire pulled away and cleaned his neck up, his eyes slid closed and he leaned against the vampire's chest, fingers still weaving through his dark hair.

"Thank you," he murmured softly.

Knowing that the vampire wouldn't get hurt because of him had relief flooding through him.

He nuzzled closer to the man. "I'm sorry," he murmured again.

"Stop apologizing you idiot, I'll be fine again in a few days, that Lycan on the other hand may be out of action for a while."
He replied his chest shaking slightly as he chuckled.

He could not help but wonder just how much silver hurt to them, by the way he screeched like a dying cat he suspected quite a lot.

He leaned his head back and stared up at the ceiling, normally he would throw the Elf off of his lap but tonight he would just leave him there.

Fabian had his first run in with a Lycan, he had to be a little shaken by it, and he felt he owed the boy an explanation.

"You don't let Lycan's near you okay? You smell fur, then you get stay away from them.
Lycans and Elves have a bad history and many of them still hold grudges."

He nodded silently.

No Lycan. That one he could definitely do.

If he knew someone was a Lycan, he'd be half a mile in the other direction a few seconds after he first spotted them form now on.

If all Lycan were like that then he definitely wouldn't be sticking around them for long enough to have something like that happen again.

"What happened for Lycan to hate Elves?"

His gaze let the ceiling as he glanced down at Fabian for a moment, debating over whether or not to tell him what many of his species had done.

"In the past the Elves have no been kind to Lycans, believing the wolves were inferior beings many Elven clans enslaved the Lycans and forced them into servitude."

He admitted, Fabian could not live his life being clueless forever, perhaps if he had warned him sooner this could have been avoided but he honestly didn't expect him to run into a wolf so quickly.

"Because of that many Lycan still hold grudges against Elves, which is dangerous for you because no Elf is a match for a Lycan of the same age, you have the disadvantage of being young and an Elf.

But Lycan's are allergic to silver, it eats away at their skin and poisons them, so if one gets to close cover them with as much silver as you can."

Enslaved?

Why would anyone...? He couldn't understand slavery. If you couldn't do something, you asked a friend to help you; you didn't go and drag someone with a life into doing everything you wanted. It was wrong.

He pressed his arms to his chest, fingers caressing the bracelets encasing his forearms.

"Is that why you let me have all of these?" He had been shocked when he had pointed out some jewellery and hinted to the vampire that he wanted them and Aurick actually bought them for him.

He had almost asked the man if he was sick.

The thought of covering Fabian in as much silver as possible hadn't occurred to him until he had planned on bringing the man here and he had hinted, not so subtly, that he had wanted the bracelets and piercings.

Normally he would have indulged the Elf so willingly but this was a way of insuring his safety, any Lycan who would go near someone smelling that strongly of silver was an idiot.

"Yes, for your own safety."
He admitted, there was no point lying about it now, not even Fabian was thick enough to believe otherwise at this point.

"I see."

He buried his face into the vampire's neck. "Should I thank you for wanting to keep me safe or hit you because you didn't buy me the jewellery just because you wanted to be nice?"

He was thankful that Rick was thinking about his safety.

Even after all the 'I hate you's and smacks around the back of his head, the vampire still worried about his safety.

He allowed him to nestle in against him, no matter how much he wanted to push the man off. It had been a traumatic day for the Elf, there was no need to make it worse by enforcing his 'don't touch me under any circumstances' policy.

"Fabian, when do I ever do anything because I wanted to be nice?"

He asked, raising an eyebrow down at the Elf, it definitely was not in his nature to do random acts of kindness.

Apart from taking the Elf in as a child, but that wasn't so much kindness as it was his inability to just leave the boy there to die.

"Let a man dream."

He'd love to see the day where Aurick would do things because he wanted to be nice.

After a minute to think, Fabian decided otherwise. No, Rick being nice just because he wanted to was a scary thought. If that happened, he was more likely to to into hiding than accept the new Aurick.

"Come on, let me up.
I want to go lay back down in our room, and you need to fix your face, you look like a wreck,"

He teased, in the scuffle Fabian had smudged his make up, a rather amusing sight considering how ever since he had learn to apply make up the Elf's face had been done until he decided it was perfect.

"The nights barely begun and you already want to crawl back into bed," he chuckled softly.

He felt the same.

He'd been up for, at max, three hours and he was ready to crawl into bed and forget the world for a good few hours.

Fabian slid off Rick's lap.

"What do you expect? I was tossed around like a rag doll out there. I wouldn't be surprised if my hair was a ratsnest, too." He was too scared of the answer to run his fingers through the blond locks to find out.

"I'm not going to go back to sleep, I just want to lay down for a while. Tonights been a little too exciting for my liking."

The Vampire just wanted to relax for a few hours, read or have a bath.

Aurick simply smirked, Fabian's hair was a mess and it was rather amusing to see since the Elf prides himself on always looking his best.

He pulled himself to his feet, his arm hanging against his chest as he began to walk back towards their room. After feeding he felt fine besides the fact that he couldn't use his arm.

"You won't have much conversation, then." Fabian was going to crawl into bed and ignore everything.

After he had removed the mess of his make up and brushed out whatever state his hair was in, of course.

The smirk decided what he was too scared to find out. His hair was an utter mess. Joy. He hated brushing out his hair when it was messy; it was a bitch when it was full of knots and it hurt like hell.

The Elf followed Aurick, falling into step with him after a moment, eyes straying down to his arm.

"Good."
He replied, the only moments of peace he got were when Fabian was asleep, he just thanked the heavens that he didn't sleep talk.

The Vampire gave an irritated sigh and stared ahead of him.
"Stop staring at it like that, Fabian, it wasn't your fault."

The Elf was beating himself up over something that wasn't even his doing.

The Elf stuck his tongue out childishly.

"You love my conversation, admit it. Admit it, Rick, admit it. Life would be bring and quiet without me and my conversation to brighten up your nights." Without him, the vampire would probably do nothing.

Fabian pursed his lips.

Stop thinking about it; change the topic.

"You know, you could pick up a lot of girls with that. Girls love a good looking man that's gotten a little beat up. I bet if you went out into town to socialise you'd have tonnes of girls hanging off you, asking if you're okay and if they could do anything to help. It'd be the perfect time to get laid."

Aurick didn't reply and instead just stared at Fabian with his usual bored glare.'

Oh yes, he loved being pestered by the man's meaning dribble.
He shook his head, peace and quite seemed like a distant memory now.

"I'd sooner break my other arm than go into town to pick up some whoring strumpets."
He grumbled, there was no way in hell that the Elf could get him to be social.

The Elf grinned widely at the bored glare.

"Come on, admit it. I bet you couldn't even last a night without my usual conversation." It'd be far too quiet without his meaningless chatter.

Fabian shook his head. "Someday I'll dress you up to the nines and drag you out. You're so good looking, they'd eat you alive."

There was only a moment silence after he spoke before he gasped in horror, pressing his hand to his mouth. "I said something British! No! Rick, you're infecting me with your British!"
