"Yes, he does, though I suspect I may do as well, we maybe polar opposite, Aeker and I but we share a lot of similarities."

Her gaze softened as he tucked the hair behind her ear, if there was one thing that annoyed her more than anything it was when people tugged on her hair too roughly, her entire childhood consisted on tripping on her own hair but she didn't have the heart to cut it off.

She looked at his tanned skin.
"I think red would make my skin look to sickly."
She said softly, the bright colour against her white skin had far too much contrast.

His lips quirked into a little grin.

The Lycan's fingers ran through her soft hair, lips curling into a small smile.

"Have you not seen how pale Irishmen are? I'm tanned because I'm smart enough to use sunscreen." His lips twitched. "I burn like a bitch if I don't use sunscreen."

Big bad Aodh had to protect himself against the sun.

She smiled softly, leaning into his soft touches of her hair.

She raised and eyebrow at him.
"You'd burn like a bitch? you realize what you are talking to?"

She replied flatly, she would not have time to burn, she'd be turned to ask before she could even realize what was happening.

He laughed.

"Vampire, right." How had he forgotten that? He didn't burn at all compared to her in the sun. "Bet you'd get a nice tan if you went out in the summer."

He pursed his lips. "It'd suck to be an Irish vampire, y'know... You thought you burned bad beforehand and then boom." He gave a short laugh. "So glad I chose Lycanthropy."

"Maybe I should try it some time, darken this pale complexion of mine a little."
She said with a chuckle, clearly joking.

She looked at him behind hooded lashes, her eyes barely visible behind the curtain of silver hair, her expression mildly confused.

"You got to choose?"
She said in a barely there whisper.

He grinned. "Aye, sunbathing sounds good."

The Lycan gave a shrug, running his tongue over his lower lip. "I got to choose between humanity and lycanthropy."

"I was the one that confronted Aleksandr. I knew what he was and I wanted in on it. Convinced him to turn me and Coilean. And he did." Alek had taken notice of Aodh immediately; it didn't take much to convince him to say yes to the young Irishman's demands.

Alexis watched intently as his tongue darted out of his lip.
"What a silly young boy you must have been."

More often then not people died during the changes that occurred from becoming a lycan, it put a great amount of stress on the internal organs.
"Do you ever regret it?"

She asked, peering at him as she fiddled with the tips of her hair.

"Aye. I was stupid and reckless and wanted nothing more than to live for longer; to protect my family for longer."

He had a family back in Ireland that he had wanted to protect at all costs. When he was human, when he was a well-known exorcist, everything he did, everything he earned was for his large family.

He gave them all his money and sent them clothes and food that he traded.

"Occasionally," he murmured, eyeing the moon, face a plank mask.

Alexis lay back on the grass, bright golden eyes searching the sky.

"I choose to be lycan over a vampire, hell I'd choose human if I could."

She said, a hand stretching up, reaching towards the sky.

"Vampires are so fleeting, fragile creatures that shatter too easily."

"You're a pureblood, right? You haven't known any other species."

His eyes slid closed. "People that haven't known a different life have it easier. They've never had to question who or what they are. They haven't had to make a transition, experimented with things they used to do but now can't or try new things because of turning."

His eyes flitted open and he reached up to grasp her hand softly. "Purebloods are lucky." His lip twitched. "But then there's the other side of the spectrum. You haven't done things we have."

"It's difficult ether way, isnt it?"

Her hair slid in front of her face, hiding her expression, she always used her hair as a veil, hiding what she was thinking.

She took his hand, her cold touch cooling his warm skin.
Had she had it easier than most immortals? She didn't think so and her lips pursed into a hard line for a brief moment before softening.

"There are many things I can not miss, because I have never experienced them, though I think in my own way I mourn the fact that they are forever out of my grasp.

I still question what I am."
She answered, her voice softening, for the first time she was not being snarky or cruel, simply honest.

He watched her silently as she covered her face with her hair, lips pressed together.

"We all have that problem, muirnín. No one can have or do anything."

He pursed his lips, eyes turning back to the mansion. But, could he....? Would she...? Maybe.

He bit his lips. "I may be able to get you something, though."

She looked at him, the gold of her eye glimpsing through her hair, what had he just called her?
She did not know that language.

She followed his gaze to the mansion, what was he thinking?

"Pardon?"
She asked looking back at him, her hand gripping his tighter.

"I...will be right back." He stood, grabbing the ball on his lap before it fell to the floor.

He set the ball in the woman's hand. "Play with Maccon until I get back."

The Lycan smiled down at the woman, ruffled her silver hair affectionately then headed towards the mansion.

"I'll be back in a bit, muirnín"

Alexis watched him, her brows inching together slightly in confusion.
What was that man up to? she question suspiciously as she fixed her freshly ruffled hair.

She sat up, resting her head on she knees as she threw the ball, sighing softly.

The Lycan returned twenty minutes later, hands buried deep in his pockets.

"I'm back," he called as he walked across the lawn towards her.

"And I have something to ask you."

She looked up at him, gold eyes dull behind her hair as she unwrapped her arm from around herself, settling for crossing her legs in front of her.

"Yes?"
She questioned, raising an eyebrow at his suspiciously.

He grinned widely.

"If I told you I had a way for you to go out in the sun, would you go out on a date with me later today?"

His hand tightened around something in his pocket as he awaited her answer.

"If I told you that's impossible I'll die and you've lost your mind would you let me drag you to a sanatorium?"

She grimaced slightly, nothing frightened her more than the sun, and with more than justified reason.

Her gold eyes looked up at him, was he trying to get her killed?

The Lycan grinned again.

"Not impossible; improbable." He pulled his hand from his pocket, revealing a thick leather pouch. "But very much possible."

"It's something that the newer covens don't know. The vampires kept t secret so anyone younger than about two thousand doesn't know about it. But a mix of a certain metal and a certain stone his magical qualities for vampire. Let's them go out in the sun."

He arched a brow. "So, will you go out on a date with me?"

She looked at him, eyes widened, was he being serious? Surely not...

"You're saying I can go out in the sun?"
She looked at him, a mixture of extreme excitement and terror filling her eyes.

"If you can get me out into the sun safely, yes I will, if not I'll..." You'll what? Be dead.

She had nothing to threaten him with.
She felt exposed in her eagerness to go along with him seemly insane scheme.

He held up a finger. "One day. I was only able to barter one day from Tony."

The Lycan stared at the vampire for a long moment, silver eyes piercing her. "I can't give you any more than a day in the sun, Alexis."

He didn't know if one day would be long enough for her. If you get to see or do something that you usually couldn't, you wanted more than a few measly hours to enjoy it.

"I can't make you Lycan or human or stop you from drinking blood. But I can let you see the sun for a few short hours."

He nodded at the leather pouch that held a decorative silver necklace with a blue stone embedded in it. "Open it."

She took the leather pouch from him tentatively, pulling the contents into her hand and examining it, her finger tips stroking the smooth surface.

She looked up at him, nodding softly, he had made himself clear.
"One day, one hour, one minute I don't care, as long as I can see it."
Her eyes were large and clearly visible, the gold gleaming brightly.

Her brows inched together softly.
"Why are you doing this for me?"
Besides he brother no one had bothered to show her such kindness before.

"Because everyone deserves a chance to do something they can't usually do at least once in their life."

He stood and offered a hand out to help her up.

"I would do the gentlemanly thing and help you put it on but silver." He gave a half shrug, pressing his lips together. Lycan's and silver didn't go well together.

"Nine hundred years is long enough to go without feeling the warmth of the sun on your face, aye?"

She smiled softly, placing it around her neck and slipping it under the cloth of her dress, the last thing she wanted was to accidentally burn him.

She wiped her hands on the underside of her dress, in fear of traces of it on her skin before taking his hand and getting to her feet.

She looked up at him sweetly, a gentle smile gracing her lips.
"Thank you Aodh."
