Feeling Lonely Empty
PostSubject: Feeling Lonely   Feeling Lonely EmptyThu Jun 28, 2012 9:22 pm

Rico stretched out on the grass, resting his head on his paws with a yawn. He found it odd that he hadn't met the rest of the pack yet, other than Zeke and Moe. Although he was happy that he had found two other wolves, he would have thought that he and the rest of the pack would have bumped into each other at some point. He had been for so long without a pack that he was in desperate need of some social interaction. It hadn't felt right to be without a pack. It was unnatural to him. Probably something about the wolf in him needing a hierarchy. Which was partly why he was so eager to meet the rest of the pack. He felt like he was going slightly mad without some sort of structure in his social life.

The wolf rolled over, gazing up at the night sky.

Feeling Lonely Empty
PostSubject: Re: Feeling Lonely   Feeling Lonely EmptyThu Jun 28, 2012 9:46 pm

Zeke was in a good mood tonight, after seeing Taylor look so healthy.
He was out for a walk, the night air filling his lungs as his black paws padded along the grass.

It did not take long for a familiar scent to hit his nose as he entered the garden, Rico, the young wolf.

He chuckled to himself and made his way over to the man, barking softly to alert him of his presence. He was not as hostile as he was when they first met, tonight Zeke was calm and collected, a rarity for him.

Hey Rico.

He said, yawning softly and sitting down next to the young wolf.

Fitting in okay so far? I have not seen you around lately. Did you have a chance of meeting the rest of the pack yet?

He asked, tilting his head slightly.

His ears pricked up at the bark, rolling over, tense, then relaxing as he saw that it was only Zeke. His tail thumped the ground happily, not getting up, but raising his head a little.

Nope, they haven't shown their heads. He pretended not to particularly care, but he did really want to meet them. Well, he wouldn't mind meeting them. If they were so inclined.

The wolf didn't like to admit to himself that he needed other people.

Zeke chuckled softly,
It would be unlikely that Alek would go out of his way to meet you, you have to go to him.

He replied, grabbing on to the younger wolfs tail and tugging it.

Move your ass, we'll go find him.

Zeke lifted his nose to the air, trying to locate the Alphas scent, he had become familiar enough with it during their last meeting when Alek had patted him on the shoulder, he was sure he would be able to track him down. He just hoped that Alek was in a good mood today.

He let out a playful growl, batting the wolf's nose lightly with a paw as his tail was tugged. The wolf rose to his feet, looking at him questioningly, head cocked.

I'm relying on you to find him, though. I don't know what he looks or smells like.

Zeke chuckled and growled playfully at Rico.

Keep up then.

He said with a smirk before sprinting toward the forest, Alek's scent was faint, he had headed this way not too long ago.
He kept his nose to the ground, following his exact foot steps

He sprinted after him, keeping up quite easily. Though he wasn't exactly strong, he could run fairly fast, which was a little surprising given that he was a little smaller than most adult male wolves. As he caught up with him, he started to pick up on the Elder wolf's scent, committing it to memory.

Did you say it was Aleksandr?

Alek's scent was getting strong, he was close but the darkest in the forest made it difficult for him to see.
He stopped, lowering his nose to the ground, trying to sniff him out.
He wanted to make their presence well know, if Alek was out here hunting he did not want to be creeping around, it could end badly.

Zeke barked into the darkness, calling out to him.

Yes Aleksandr, he is here somewhere...

Aleksandr had been playing with two deer for a while.

A doe and its fawn.

Pouncing at the deer, splitting it from its child, scaring the child. Watching them group together and run before following after them and repeating.

He had never been told not to play with his food.

He had been just about to pounce at the fawn when he heard the bark. He straightened up, watching the fawn bolt back to it's mother as he returned the bark with one of his own.

Zeke could come to him.

The Elder followed after the pair of deer again, keeping low to the ground.

He followed one step behind Zeke, ears pricking up at the unknown bark, eyes wary. Although he was a little nervous, he did not draw any closer to Zeke, only slowing down a little cautiously, tail dropping a little to show that he wasn't a threat, but not so that it was completely between his legs.

He's close?

Zeke looked behind him to glance at Rico, giving him a nod and pointing toward the sound of the alphas bark.

He moved in a steady walk, heading toward the sound until he caught a glimpse of the older wolf, crotching low to the ground, hunting a group of dear, Zeke sat on his haunches a few feet behind the alpha, trying not to scare away his prey.

Alek, we have a new wolf, he's come to join the pack.

He said to the Alpha, glancing back to the make sure Rico was alright.

Uh-huh. Great. Thrilling.

He wasn't really paying attention to what the younger man was saying.

He crawled towards the two deer, tail swaying back and forth. He was having fun playing with the two of them. Far too much fun.

Care to share in on my dinner? Take down the fawn, I'll get the doe.

And with that he pounced, teeth tearing into the deer's hind.

He twitched a little in annoyance at being ignored, but didn't say anything, merely lying down in the long grass. He didn't go after the fawn, unsure whether or not Aleksandr only wanted to share with Zeke. He watched the Elder hunt, making a note not to get on his bad side. Or to try not to at least.

Zeke hoped that Alek would be more responsive after he had eaten and bounded towards where the alpha was standing, pouncing on the fawn and taking it down quickly.
His larger size, balling over the small creature as he tore at its throat.
Best kill it quickly instead of letting Alek play with it.

He sat before the slaughtered animal and licked his muzzle, he was not overly hungry and instead offered it to the alpha who was obviously hungry.

Alek tore at the animal's leg then stepped back, watching it try and run with only three legs.

It was an amusing sight.

But after a while, he got bored, pouncing at it again, tearing into its stomach.

He didn't want to go for the throat yet.

He pawed at and played with the deer, riling it up, letting it think it was free before going for it again.

His little game didn't last long before the deer collapsed.

Pouting mentally, he padded towards the deer, tearing into it again, this time for meat instead of to play.

Take it. I may have a large stomach but I can't eat more than one deer at a time.

Rico continued to watch him, tail swishing playfully in the long grass. When he was human, he might have been appalled, but now he felt himself almost wanting to join in on the game, watching the scene with hungry eyes. Hmm. Better not. He could find something himself later.

He waited silently to be noticed, lying down on his paws.

Zeke wasn't about to let the food go to waste, he took his fill and
looked back over to Rico, he didn't seemed to phased at this point, when
Zeke had first met the Alpha he had been terrified of over stepping the
boundaries.

Once he was full he stretched his body and yawned softly, licking his muzzle clean.

He waited for the alpha to finish eating before he spoke again.

That's our new wolf.

He explained, his muzzle pointing towards Rico, before laying down in the grass, his front legs stretched out in front of him.

He wiped his bloody muzzle over the grass, trying to clean his grey fur from the dark red blood.

The Wolf looked up part way through cleaning himself to gaze at the younger wolf for a moment before dropping his head to start cleaning again.

He stretched out next to the almost stripped bare skeleton of his prey, jaws opening wide in a loud yawn.

Name?

"Rico Cortes."

He didn't move, continuing to lie down in a way that connoted both subservience and relaxation. Nervous wolves often became dangerous, and he didn't want to show any anxiety around his new Alpha.

Zeke watched the two with a smirk as he laid his head on top of his front paws, yawning slightly as his body relaxed.

He was glad that it wasn't him this time, though if the kid behaved himself he knew there would be no problems, especially now that Aleksandr was well fed.

A full wolf was a contented wolf.

Mhmm.

He stretched out again, rolling onto his back, paws in the air,

He looked more like a dog wanting to be pet than an Alpha wolf.

Given, he was a huge, scary, blood-splattered, ancient wolf that you really wouldn't have wanted to go against if you still wanted to keep your throat.

He whined softly, thrashing on the ground, scratching his back with a satisfied moan.

Aleksandr.

He cocked his head, watching the Alpha wolf in bemusement. He wasn't acting like the Alphas he had usually come across. But then, it was probably best not to take advantage of this good nature. He wasn't sure if Aleksandr would snap if he did that.

I hope that you will accept me into the pack.

He kept his stance low, tail brushing the ground softly.

He rolled onto his side again, curling up and resting his head on his forepaws.

You haven't done anything stupid like fight with my sons yet.

He gave Zeke a sidelong glance, shoulders shaking in a snicker. Zeke was a big wolf, he was strong and could look after himself.

Rico, on the other hand, was much smaller. He wouldn't last long in a fight with his sons.

But, if he didn't do anything stupid, he wouldn't need to.

He cocked his head with a wary look in his eye. Am I likely to?

His tail twitched uncomfortably. He didn't like the feeling that he was being laughed at and it made him tense a little. But he managed to hold back the growl, knowing that that would be an incredibly stupid thing to do.

The smaller wolf cast an uncertain glance over to Zeke, shifting slightly.

Zeke chuckled, rolling onto his back, scratching his shoulders against the grass.

In my defense, Aodh was asking for it.

The large black wolf wore a grin on his face, the two were on good terms now so he did no mind joking about the scuffle they had when they first met, it did not seem to bother Alek much that he had fought with his son.

Zeke looked over at Rico, shaking his head slightly, a smile still on his muzzle, the younger wolf had nothing to worry about.
