Beauty and the Stowaway

Jenevieve smiled at him gratefully and tried her hardest to make her way over to him despite her soused out senses. She used the shelf to help her not fall over, and quickly stumbled into Smiley's arms once she reached him.

He was the only living thing in sight, and she didn't want to be left alone in the darkness, lost and helpless. She looked up at him with her big red eyes.

"Thank you." She said somberly, ashamed of herself, realizing now how truly pathetic she was at this moment.

"You never came across to me as one to become a drunken, groveling, excuse of a woman when I first saw you." He stated calmly as he escorted her through the shelves of literature. He had a certain pacific demeanor about him as he walked with her, the crook of his arm was warm and held a sort of inviting quality about it. Smiley's nostril twitched slightly when he took in the scent of spirits reeking off Jene's body.

In less then a second he reached his sizable hand around, still walking calmly and ran it down the length of Jenevieve's hair leisurely. He played with the end of it for a moment and then let it fall against her breast, the smirk returning to his lips once again.

"That's because I'm not." She said, voice soft again. Her moods shifted quickly when she was like this. One second she was a mourning mess, the next a cackling buffoon, and now she's a caliginous, ashamed excuse of a lady.

Her feet dragged slightly as she tried to walk. The smell of alcohol wasn't too strong on her, as she hadn't had that much by normal standards. More then enough for someone of her small stature.

Her eyes fluttered a bit as he traced his fingers through her hair, and she leaned her head against his shoulder.

"That's not the impression that was made when I saw you writing about on the floor laughing like a maniac." His smile widened a little more at the end of the sentence. It was getting dreadfully uncomfortable trudging Jene around like he was, so without hesitation Smiley picked her up in his arms as he had before and continued walking, not really sure of where he was going, though he presumed further into the library.

His face had a certain eerie dream-like contentment to it. He had always enjoyed carrying women around like this. He had done it before and it had been awhile since the last time. Something about it seemed to transform the small creature in his arms into something fragile, something he could break at any moment. He liked that thought, that this young woman's delicate rest could be disturbed by a quick motion of his arms in a matter of seconds. And yet, the only part of his body which continued to move were his legs walking forward.

"I would never do something like that." She said, trying to keep an ounce of dignity, even if it meant utmost denial.

She let him swoop her up in his arms, feeling a bit more comfortable like this herself. She was getting dizzy from trying to make her own way. She cradled her head against his chest.

"You don't behave like the others here." She said, voice small, almost inaudible. "You seem more grounded. More... sane..." She mused, contradicting her earlier accusations of him being crazy from the time they first met. Little did she know he was speculating the idea of causing her harm.

Smiley burst abruptly into laughter at her statement, still walking calmly. The muscles in his arms tightened as he laughed and squeezed her against his chest a little more.

"You really have been drinking haven't you~" He mused aloud after recovering from his chortle. He then strode over to a cozy-looking chair somewhere hidden among the shelves of books and seated himself, Jene still nestled in his lap. He leaned his head against the backrest of the chair and stroked his fingers through her hair. He now thought about how he enjoyed the presence of a woman on his lap, how she warmed his thighs and loins like a soft blanket. Smiley let out a little peaceful sigh through his nose, letting his fingertips graze along her head and feel the difference between her soft skin and her satin hair. Normally he would have asked her some kind of disrespectful and most likely invading personal question, but he did not want to deal with another drunken tangle of gibberish. If he wanted that he would have talked to any other sober girl around her age.

She opened her eyes and stared up at him once he began to laugh. She closed her eyes contently and smiled, once again leaning her head against his chest. She even giggled along with him, not sure of what was funny, but she did feel a mixture of emotions at the moment, and silliness was one of them.

She looked around for a moment once they were seated, getting used to the swaying motion of his strides having stopped.

She snuggled in close to him and let him feel her hair and her face. It brought back a comforting memory she treasured, of a long lost love from long ago who would often do the same thing.

He was amused by her compliance, which had at first bored him, but now presented him with an opportunity to get himself acquainted with her body. He pushed his fingers up along her jawline, tilting her head back and observed the motion of her neck, the way her skin would shift as a result. He ran his fingers back down to her ear and traced over it, noting it's shell-like qualities, the velvet feel of them. His fingers then ran over her soft eyelids gently and then her forehead, back through her hair.

His face harbored a look of concentration, his tongue swirled against the backs of his teeth, his jaw jutted out slightly behind his lips in focus. Smiley heard the ticking of a clock in his brain and tapped his foot along with the noise, each step down in a perfect interval with the one before it. His nostril twitched a little and he licked his upper lip, sniffing the air slightly.

"Angel, Angel. You are going to be so mad at me for all of this I can feel it~" He smirked and then chuckled, never ceasing his caress.

Jenevieve was nearly limp in his arms, completely relaxed. Again her features slipped into a peaceful sort of stillness.

She sighed out a soft little coo from the way his fingers brushed along her skin and her hair. She liked the feeling of being close to someone so warm. Someone who would seemingly protect her and touch her.

Someone that reminded her of him.

He let out a little exhale of a laugh through his nose and turned her head to the side to analyze her profile and run his fingers over her neck lightly, pressing down a little bit to feel the tendons beneath her skin. He wondered what her skeleton looked like, her organs, muscles. There was an image sitting in his mind that she was white on the inside too, that her blood was white when away from the exposure of oxygen. His curiosity sat in the back of his mind, but he knew not to act on it. If he did that he would make a mess on his clothes and he was particularly fond of this shirt.

Smiley rested one hand on Jene's stomach while the other petted her hair softly and gazed expressionlessly out into the dark corridor before him. He smirked. He felt as though he was in a sort of womb of thought in this empty library, a place of reflection, encased within the confines of his mind. And he was sharing the space with this creature in his lap. She was a muse for thought. He presence intrigued him. She was something different.

"Something new."

Her delicate little body was easily manipulated into whatever position he wanted her in. In this one single moment she could be his marionette, something for him to touch and bend and pose however he wanted.

Her breaths were light and airy, soft and silent. Her demeanor was that of a doll, seemingly frozen into an expressionless slumber.

He sat there in silence for awhile, unmovable, barely breathing. The only indication that he was a conscious being was the ominous flicker of his lavender eyes every now and then and the steady motion of his hand against Jene's stomach. He was feeling for her pulse in her torso, the slow, restful pounding in her body, hidden under her laces and fabrics. He desired to feel the life throb in her because this interested him. Her clothing frustrated him in his search, but he was too calm too work up the energy to tear apart the seam of her clothing. So he stayed content in caressing her above the fabrics of her dress soundlessly.

Jenevieve slept for hours, slowly coming out of her intoxication in her rest. Eventually the man holding her drifted to slumber as well, and they stayed positioned like that until the throbbing in Jenevieve's head began to pull her from her sleep. She let out a soft little groan from the hangover, placing the back of her hand over her forehead. She blinked her eyes open a few times, trying to take in her surroundings, when she saw Smiley holding her on the couch.

She frowned, brow furrowed, and sat up, looking to see that the only clothing removed from her were her boots. She looked at Smiley, wondering if she was in some sort of peculiar dream.

"You... You?! What in the world?!" She said, not yelling but clearly dumbfounded. She remained in his lap but gave his shoulder a little shake to try and wake him up.

He felt a dainty little hand nudge him out of his slumber. His eyes flickered open quickly and he looked down at her, his little smile returning as his awakening mind determined she had come out of her drunken state. He stretched his arms up and arched his back, chest puffing out a little bit.

"Awake now I see~" He spoke quietly, but not in a soft manner, relaxing his body and keeping his hands on the armrests on either side of her.

"You were drunk so I took you. You probably would have ended up in some man's bedroom if I hadn't." States this with a factual tone, as if it was just the truth of the matter. Smiling at her contently, almost mischievously.

Jenevieve did not know what to make of any of this. She stared at Smiley with wide eyes, her expression one of utmost confusion. It was almost as if he was looking out for her. But why would he do that?

"How did you find me!?" She asked him, not sure of what else to say. "A-and... and where are my boots?" She lifted her foot up and pointed to it, not breaking eye contact with him when she did.

He only gave her a small, sly smile as he clasped his hands together and rested them on her lap, fingers folded. His mind was already somewhat giddy at the thought of her sober reaction to his presence, even allowing a small chuckle to escape his nose, his hooded lavender eyes revealing nothing to Jene.

"So many questions I don't care to answer Angel~" He states calmly as he leans back in his chair, gazing down at her.

Jenevieve's facial expression contorted into one of unbridled vexation. She glared at him with wide red eyes, her nose twitching a little, brow furrowed.

"Well whatever do you mean you don't care to answer!!!? I wake up with hardly a memory in the lap of someone the likes of you! The least you could do is tell me where the devil my shoes are. I happen to be very fond of that pair!!!" She chirped out loudly, wiggling around a bit, not sure what to do with the anger rising up in her. She glanced down at his hands in her lap and then back up at his face.

"Answer me you... you..." Words left her as she stared into his lavender eyes. He was getting some entertainment from her she could feel it. She tried to take a deep breath through her nose to calm herself, biting her tongue from letting herself carry on any further in her hungover rambles.

And oh was he entertained~ His lips had curled up into an even more mischievous smile, his eyes hooding even more, her ranting sustaining his interest. When she fell silent he only gazed down at her in silence, half expecting her to continue but when she didn't he only smiled more. He looked into her eyes and exposed his teeth a little behind his smirking lips. His body was a soft, warm, unmovable rock beneath her.

"If you're so bothered..." he stated casually, "Why are you still here?"

"Because I have questions that I need to be answered!!!" She squeaked out in furry, eyes flaring. Her fists were clenched and she wriggled around in anger, even pounding them against her lap as she continued to sit on his. Her lips pursed out as she stared at him, demanding with her eyes that he answer her.

Smiley becomes so pleased by her frustrations that he actually laughs out, his mouth stretched into a wide grin.

"Alright then, since you have answered one of my questions I'll answer one of your's." He grins and bobs his legs slightly beneath her, making her bounce slightly in his lap.

She was not at all pleased that he laughed at her, but it was something that she was expecting none the less. At least he was complying now.

"Where are my boots?!" She asked, looking up at him, a hint of desperation in her eyes.

Her anger was still pretty roused up, but she held herself still in his lap as she waiting for his answer, her only movement being her toes wiggling about from under her stockings.

He grinned, running his finger quickly up the soft pad of her foot before resting it back on the arm rest.

"Over there, behind that bookshelf." He nods his head over to one of the shelves, not taking his eyes off her's, his own flickering softly in amusement.

She stared into his eyes for what seemed like minutes. Finally she spoke.

"Why do you do this to me?" She asked, voice hushed, her brow furrowed. "Why don't you harass someone else? And why did you feel the need to help me when I was in a bad situation if you enjoy seeing me humiliated? I don't... I don't understand."

He leans his face so his lips hover by her ear, his breath soft and warm as he whispers,

"You already asked me your one question Angel...But if you must know, you interest me."

Smiley grins wide and pulls his face back, giving the end of her hair a small flick before resting his hand back on the armrest.

Her lips parted just slightly and she looked up at him with big eyes, trying to search his facial expression. She just sat there, looking up at him, wondering why exactly their paths crossed, if she had done something or if it was just fate. But for what ever reason life had placed this peculiar man in her path and she didn't know what to do about that.
