The Belov Family Reunion

When Lyo woke up the next morning, he'd find Sonia had snuggled in against him, her arm draped over his chest.  

She still held tight to her little Cheburashka doll, but had obviously been drawn to the comfort of having someone near her who was going to keep her safe.

Lyo blinked awake at the ass-crack of dawn, the same as he usually did, lifting one large, scarred hand to rub away the bleariness of sleep.

It wasn't for a long moment that Lyo remembered where he was. When he did, his eye turned down to Sonia. He was used to having Maks' fat head resting against his shoulder, so the weight had barely registered in his mind until he realised that he wasn't in his own apartment.

A little smile curled his pierced lip.

Sonia looked so peaceful in her sleep.
