[C][M] Astringent Fate

Rayner's eyes slid shut as tears streaked down his cheeks, he knew he was going to get punished but hearing it said by Cy's cold tone made him wish that he had been left out on that beach.

The Fledglings eyes flew open as he looked over at Dario, his mouth gaping open in pure horror, Cy wanted to come here. He would see Dario, the man was human, there was no way he could protect himself against Cy.

What if Cy did something horrible to him to get back at him for not coming home?

Rayner shook his head frantically.

"I wasn't hiding from you, I swear! Please, just let me come to you instead, I'll be fast, I promise."

"That was not a request, Honey. That was order. Get the address. Now."

Dario, having had enough of seeing Ray break down in front of him, stepped forwards. He wrapped an arm around Ray, hugging him gently to his chest as he plucked the phone out of his hand and pressed it to his ear.

"I think you've said quite enough already. Honey's in tears right now."

"So he's been with you all day?"

Dario pursed his lips. "He has. I found him on the beach knocked out. He had a pretty bad head wound that I cleaned up. He's been sleeping on my couch since."

The vampire gave a soft hum. "He was hurt? Can you give me the address so I can come pick him up? I just want him safe at home."

Dario bit his lip in thought before eventually giving him the address.

Rayner tried desperately to keep Dario from getting the phone, he wanted to protect the human and prevent him from coming into contact with Cy, now the two of them were talking.

His arms wrapped around Dario tightly as he was hugged, his hands clinging to the man's shoulder blades as he shook his head, sobbing into the human's neck.

Cy knew where he was, he was coming here right now. Warm tears streamed steadily from the Vampire's eyes as he hugged the human.

"What have you done..."

He murmured with a sniffle, his body trembling, Dario would be killed, he just knew it, Cy would take away anything that he cared about so that he only had his Sire left and nothing more.

"He is going to hurt you."

Rayner murmured.

Dario hung up the phone and tossed it onto the side.

"Shh, shhh," he murmured softly as Ray sobbed against his chest.

"He's not going to hurt me. He's not going to hurt anyone. We're safe." Nothing bad would happen. Everything would be absolutely fine.

"He won't be here for a while. Let's go sit down for a bit."

He stroked Ray's back gently as he tried to calm him.

"He will, to punish me so I can't see you again."

He murmured between sobs, clinging to the man as Dario tried to calm him down.

"I'm so sorry, it's all my fault."

His breath hitched in his throat as he hid his face in Dario's chest.

"I'm disobedient and lack self control."

Those were words he heard all too often, be was being defiant and disobedient because he wasn't trying hard enough to control himself.

"I didn't mean for this to happen, I just wanted to go outside."

"Shh. Shush, Honey. Shush."

Dario reached back to turn the cooker off then lifted Ray up into his arms carefully.

He carried him out into the livingroom and sat down on the couch, setting Ray in his lap.

"This isn't your fault. You were hurt. I carried you back here."

He pressed a soft kiss against the crown of the boy's head as he rubbed his back gently. "This isn't your fault. There's no reason to be sorry."

Ray was so broken up about this. It broke Dario's heart just witnessing it.

"Shhh, it's okay."

Rayner whimpered but curled up in Dario's lap, he didn't know what to do, he could try to run, hope that he lead Cy away from where Dario lived, but that could just make everything worse.

The Vampire curled up against his chest and went quiet except for his soft crying.

His body trembled as he sat there, hoping beyond anything else that Dario made it out of this alive, the man didn't deserve for anything bad to happen to him.

He was the one who should be punished.

"That's it," he crooned softly.

He lifted a hand to gently wipe away the Vampire's tears. "You're too handsome to ruin those good looks with sad tears."

Now, pained tears were a different story... But now was not the time to be talking about that.

"Do you want to give me a little smile?"

His fingers ran through the Vampire's short hair gently.

He gave a small sniffle as his tears were wiped away, looking up at Dario with glassy eyes.

His lips pursed a little but he didn't smile, the Vampire hadn't worn a genuine smile in a long time no, he couldn't allow himself to be happy, if he did, something bad would happen.

Instead he nuzzled softly in against Dario's hand, he wanted to savor these last little touches, even if Dario lived, he wouldn't be allowed near the human again.

"You should get dressed before Cy gets here."
Ray muttered softly, the last thing he needed was his sire thinking he let another man fuck him.

"All right. I'm going to go into the bedroom to do that. You'll be okay here for a few minutes, right?"

He shifted Ray out of his lap gently and stood up.

He spared one last smile for Ray before disappearing into his room.

"Up. We're going to have company soon." He shook the Demon's foot roughly to rouse him then moved towards the wardrobe so he could pull on some jeans and a shirt.

Rayner gave a soft nod before curling up on the couch hugging a pillow to his chest as he stared at the front door.

Waiting was the worst thing, so many scenarios ran through his head and it was making things worse.

Silt grunted and rolled over groggily and sat up, rubbing his eyes before reaching out blindly for his jeans and shirt.

"Who's coming over?"

If it was Liq then he was going to hide somewhere.

"Honey's sire."

Dario buttoned up his jeans and pulled on his shirt before reaching for his hairbrush.

He ran it through his knotted hair, yanking at them until the bristles ran through his hair smoothly enough.

Dario didn't know what to expect when Ray's sire appeared.

Those words caught the demon's attention and he promptly got ready.

"Alright then, good reason to get out of bed."

He was curious to see if the fledglings Sire knew what kind of condition he was in and if he did he wondered what kind of person would allow this to continue for so long.

Once silt was ready he moved into the living room, sitting down on the couch a little way away from the Vampire, allowing him some space.

Dario followed Silt out.

"I want to keep this at least somewhat clean. Don't say anything stupid," the human warned his Demon.

Dario took a seat on the floor opposite the couch.

"You all right, Honey?"

"I wont start anything unless he does."

The demon promised, after all he was being watched for good behaviour, he couldn't go around killing random Vampires.

Rayner's eyes trailed down to Dario for a brief moment as the man spoke. His head shook side to side for a moment before his gaze turned back to the door.

He wouldn't be alright until he knew that no one was going to die tonight.

Daroi sighed softly, reaching up to pet the Vampire's hair gently.

"Everything will be okay," he assured. "You don't have to worry about us. We'll be safe."

No one was going to get hurt.

He'd made his promise to Ray. He just hoped he could uphold it.

"You don't know Cy like I do."

He murmured softly, bringing his knees to his chest and resting his head on them.

Ever since the day he met Cy the man had taken great pleasure in tormenting and torturing him and now a similar fate may happen to these two.

His eyes cast down to the ground.

"You should have just left me for the sun."

then none of this would be happening.

Dario tugged gently on Ray's hair.

"Don't think like that, Honey."

He didn't want Ray feeling like his life meant nothing. Ray deserved a good life where he didn't feel guilty about little things.

"We're going to be here and help you. Right, Silt?"

"Damn right."

Silt replied as he crossed his arms over his chest, he was as determined as Dario to help the man out.

"I don't understand why you're being so nice to me...but thank you."

He murmured, looking over at the two of them before looking back at the door.

He wished he could offer them something in return but he had nothing to give.

"Why wouldn't we be nice to you?"

What had poor Ray suffered through if he thought that people being nice to him was a strange thing that needed thanks?

A knock sounded at the door and Dario sighed softly.

Let the fun begin.

"Go answer the door, Silt."

Rayner recoiled as the knock at the door sounded, curling in on himself a little more.

Silt pushed himself to his feet, ruffling the Fledgling's hair gently on his way past.

He pulled the door open slowly, a blank expression on his face as his eyes trailed over the Vampire.

"Evening."

He muttered.

Cy returned the level gaze when the door was opened.

"Is Honey here?" the Vampire asked as he stepped forwards.

He wanted to get Ray and get out of here. This place was less than pleasant. He didn't want to spend any more time here than he had to.

Dario stroked Ray's hair and neck gently to try and sooth him somewhat.

"He is inside resting, he was pretty hurt when we found him."

Silt muttered, stepping aside and letting the man into the apartment.

The demon kept a close eye on the older Vampire, he didn't quite trust this man around Dario, not when he human was so fragile.

Rayner's eyes widened when Cy came into view, a soft whimper sounding as he gripped onto the cushion in his lap tightly.

Cy stepped forwards, stalking quickly to Ray.

He dropped to his knees in front of the boy and reached forwards to lay his hand on his head in the same place that Dario had done a moment before.

"Come. We've spent-"

His nostrils flared. "You're tainted."

Rayner couldn't stop himself from flinching when Cy touched him, he was anticipating being thrown around and handled like a rag doll, he was scared of how to man would react.

Those two words made his blood run cold.

His hand came to his mouth as he recalled last night, what he had done...what he had eaten.

"I....I lost a lot of blood, I was hungry. Cy I didn't mean to break it, I swear to God I didn't mean to."

He muttered quickly, trying to make this right.
