[C] deer hunting

Fabian wasn't much better off. He was wet, his usually perfectly straight blond hair wet and tangled.

His body was shivering quite violently, too.

But, he was grinning widely.

That was until he really felt the cold, though.

At that point, he decided that he'd shift and warm up the old fashioned way; with a lot of fur covering his body.

The little ermine shook himself out as he bounced away from the water, towards his deer friend.

It was like something out of a Disney movie. He shook himself again, only succeeding in making himself dizzy. His fur wasn't long enough to dry out properly that way.

When he glanced back, Fabian was gone, and instead a small creature like a stoat was bouncing up. Atlas cocked his head and reached with his nose toward the little animal.

Bian jumped up when Atlas leaned towards him.

He pawed his way up to cling to the deer's head. He nibbled on one of his ears as he slipped down onto Atlas' back.

He was a small, soaked ball of fluff and he probably looked extremely silly clinging to a small deer like he was.

But that didn't matter.

Atlas threw his head back when Fabian was safely away from it, ears twitching in discomfort from being nibbled on.

He took a few careful steps to test if Fabian could safely stay on.

The ermine sat comfortably on Atlas' back, head resting on the Elf's between his ears.

He felt triumphant right now. He'd defeated the beast and claimed him as his steed. A childish notion but it was fun either way.

Fabian was quite comfortably sitting on Altas' back like this.

He took a few more steps, but the elf on him barely swayed. That prompted him to start a trot, swinging his head as he wondered which direction to take.

Fabian laid quite comfortably on the little deer's back.

He felt like he was riding a horse. It was fun. Perhaps he could convince Atlas to start wearing a saddle so he could carry him around like this all the time.

Fabian thought that would be a load of fun.

Fabian could direct him if he started to go off-course by too much. That allowed him to pick up the pace until he was sprinting, nimbly avoiding undergrowth as he did.

He was interested in seeing if Fabian could keep his hold.

The ermine clung to Atlas as he sprinted through the forest.

He didn't care where they went. He was just enjoying himself. He felt important sat on the Elf's back.

Like some royal going around on horseback.

He couldn't wait to tell Rick about this tonight.

He gave a buck when Fabian stayed on. He knew it would seem mean, but he just wanted to liven things up.

The ermine gave a little squeak when the deer bucked beneath him.

How cruel, trying to get him to fall off.

Fabian gave the younger Elf a little nip in reprimand as he shifted around a little to find a more comfortable place to sit on Atlas' back.
