| It was a normal sunny day in Catania. The weather was humid from the ocean nearby, but it wasn't too hot or overbearing thanks to the spring weather.
In the crowd of people going about their business stood a very broad and muscular man. He didn't stand out as being particularly tall, being 6'0" even. But he did stand out as being large, the kind of guy that you didn't want to mess with.
His face was focused, not a trace of a smile there. His silver eyes looked like they had something very important hiding behind them.
Alexis Rozen was still in Greece, and while she was gone the man, Tahir, had been doing his best to make the most of his time. He had to have something to focus on or his mind would go crazy wondering if she was well, or if she had given birth to their first child yet.
If that was the case, Tahir was prepared. He had used a good portion of his time building a custom crib for their baby by his own two hands. Now that the crib was complete, he had decided it was time to venture into the city to purchase some belongings for their child.
The expression he had on his face was not the kind of one you'd imagine an expecting father to have while shopping for baby clothes and blankets. He looked like he was on some sort of mission. But that was just his default focused expression.
Suddenly Tahir picked up the scent of another lycan in the crowd. Whoever it was, they were a turned lycan such as himself. He glanced around the streets to see if he could tell who it was. Not anyone he had become acquainted with, that was for sure. But still vaguely familiar, as if whoever this lycan was, they were most likely also living in the Coven.

| Cappy had gone out when the day was still young to look for a place to buy his small companion, his bird Mango, some proper feed. He hadn't met many others here other than the red headed man who seemed like a decent person, though he had no qualm over not making any friends. Since his late lover Victoria and his incident, he hadn't been much of the people type anymore.
He strides along the sidewalk, weaving through the occasional group of people. He had been analyzing the sort of people that lived around here.. Most seemed well off. Hes had a talent for pickpocketing since he was young; and because he never had a lot of money on him, he'd need to find a person to pay for the seed.
His eyes flicker to a man with an expensive looking watch, the glare reflecting off it catching his eye. He narrows his eyes at the man and spots that his wallet is in his front pocket.
How careless
Cappy bumps into the man on purpose, and takes the wallet from his pocket without him seeming to notice. He smiles to himself and slides it into his pocket as he says a small apology to the one who would be paying for not only a meal for his bird, but himself as well. He always felt a tinge of guilt after doing this sort of thing, though that wasn't enough to stop him.
He pulls out the wallet and fingers through the cash that lies inside before pulling it out and throwing the now moneyless wallet. He stuffs the money in his back pocket and raises his eyes to look for a pet shop when he smells another Lycan.
He inhales and looks around, figuring its probably someone from the Coven and no one to worry about.

| Tahir had been searching the crowd when he spotted the young blond man with a bird perched on his shoulder. He recognized the silver eyes and knew right away that this was the other lycan.
The Persian raised an eyebrow when he spotted the way that the young man pick-pocketed a stranger with amazing stealth. Were Tahir not to have heightened senses he may have missed it.
His hero complex kicked in again, he didn't like to see someone get robbed like that. With a few quick strides we came upon Cappy and let out a low growl as he grabbed the younger wolf's wrist.
"Give it back." He ordered in a rough and intimidating voice, quiet enough that only Cappy would have been able to hear. There was no room for arguing in the way he presented himself.
The man would get his wallet back.

| Within a moment of blinking the other wolf was in front of him. Cappy could feel himself tense up and move his feet in a way where he was holding his ground better. He looked up at the burly looking man, his eyes a reflection of his own. They had the same silver eyes, this man was obviously the lycan he had caught a wiff of earlier.
"I don't want any trouble, all I'm trying to do is get my bird some food." He keeps his voice steady and low, knowing he can't afford to be on someone the size of this guys bad side.
He looks up and down the man for a split second, then meets his eyes again. The scent of the stronger lycan almost feels like a thick cloud of dense air around his nostrils. He can feel his birds small feet moving around on his shoulder, it lets out a small hiss/squawk at the burly lycan.

| Tahir's eyes darted to the little protective bird on the man's shoulder, then back into his eyes.
He'd been around enough thief's in his time to know that they always come up with a sob story. The sad thing was, even if this guy was telling the truth there had been too many people who did lie, making Tahir cynical.
"I said 'give it back'" He repeated, his upper lip twitching just slightly. He tightened his grip on Cappy's wrist, in a slightly more painful way.
Honestly Tahir didn't want any trouble either. But he had no tolerance for thieves.

| Cappy exhales deeply and furrows his brow, his lips squeezing together in a tight line. He clenches his fist when the lycans grip tightens, it didn't hurt too bad, but he still didn't like it. He doesn't break eye contact with the man while he thinks of things he could do to get out of a situation like this. Sure, he'd been caught sealing before but they were all mortals, people he could easily outrun and never see again.. But this.. This man he will be seeing again most likely.
"Alright. Let me go. I'll return it." He says this flatly. He may give this mans money back, but he sure as hell will get some more when the taller man leaves him alone. He has to get food for his bird, and if that means stealing to get it, he will.

| "Don't try running" The Persian man warns before letting go of Cappy's wrist. He stands back and watches to see if Cappy really would return the wallet.
He was glad that the pup was cooperating.
As much as Tahir loved a good fight, there was no fun in it if the person he was up against was caught off guard or not meaning any real harm.
If Cappy was willing to do the right thing, then he didn't deserve a punch in the face.

| Cappy turns around and starts walking in the direction the man he stole from was, leaning down the pick up the expensive leather wallet when he passes it. He opens the wallet and puts the money he had taken out of it inside, then closes it. He sighs and moves one hand up to pet his bird, whispering a little about how he'd find someone else to pay for his food.
He jogs when he sees the back of the wealthy man, tapping him on the shoulder when he gets close enough. He returns the wallet with a thankful sigh of relief from the other man, though Cappy could see in his eyes that he was suspicious of the blond man that had just run into him.
Cappy turns and starts walking back in the direction he had been going in the first place. He runs a hand through his hair and lets out a sigh, disappointed that he'd have to go to the trouble to take another persons wallet, however easy it way be for him. Pushing those thoughts away for a moment, his eyes flicker back to the lycan who had stopped him from stealing, his brow furrowed.

| Tahir's expression softened when he saw that Cappy returned not only the wallet but the money as well. He folded his arms and waited for the young lycan to walk back.
Even though Tahir was not smiling, when their eyes met, he no longer looked as intimidating as he had before.
"You're from the coven, yes?" He asked, his voice still low enough that only Cappy would be able to hear him.
He was pretty sure he all ready knew the answer, but he wanted to make sure. If that was the case then he wanted to smooth things over a little.
He didn't like there to be any bad intentions between him and the people he was living with. It was hard enough dealing with Aodh, he didn't need someone else on the list.
And who knew what surprises the future had? The last time he'd gotten into a dispute with someone, they ended up being a part of his family.

| When Cappy reaches the taller man he stops and turns to him, his expression turned to that of a neutral one. He wasn't too upset over the loss of the wallet, just a bit irritated. Though, he couldn't blame another for not wanting someones wallet to get stolen, hell, if he had been born a different life so would he.
"Yeah. I moved in just recently." He tried to keep his answer short and to the point, he still wasn't sure if he wanted someone like this as an ally or not. He knows he didn't him as an enemy but.. A friend is a different story.
He liked to examine people before making these kinds of decisions, though he didn't have much of a choice at the moment it seemed.
"My names Cappy." He crosses his arms and unconsciously inhales, making his shoulders look slightly broader. He'd blame his on his newly added animal instincts.

| "Tahir" the Persian man said in response to Cappy giving up his name.
For reasons unknown to him, Tahir wanted to help the young man. It wasn't just to not mend any awkward or bad feelings between the two. It was a brotherly like instinct kicking in.
"Are you hungry?" He asked casually, mimicking Cappy's moves and folding his own arms as well.

| To be honest, Cappy was starving. He had eaten the bare minimal since he'd gotten to the Coven due to the lack of money and just being busy in general. He had made an effort to look for any corridors, and even go to the point of examining some people he had seen around. But even though, Cappy wasn't the type to ask for favors, or even receive them. And even then, it wasn't his own hunger he was concered about at the moment.. It was the only piece of his past life he had left that he was worried about. His bird.
"Probably not as hungry as this little guy," He nods his head towards his bird, not being able to help his voice sounding relatively sweeter than it had before when he says that. He notices his and kind of scolds himself on the inside.
"Why are you asking?" He furrows his brow slightly, trying to sound a bit more firm than before in contrast with his sweet tone of voice when talking about his bird.

| Tahir placed his hand in his pocket and pulled out his own wallet. It wasn't a fancy wallet, in fact it was the complete opposite. It appeared to be a bunch of rags wrapped around each other.
Opening the wallet was another story. Stacks of notes lay inside. Tahir had not learned about plastic and credit, too modern for him. But the paper bartering was something he was familiar with.
He pulled out a few orange slips of paper, each fifty euros.
"They have a lot of nice places to eat here kid. A lot with outdoor eating so I'm sure your bird wouldn't be a problem. Can it eat human food? Like crumbs?" His tone was a lot more brotherly now, rather then the cold person he'd been when he first spoke to Cappy.

| Cappy raises his eyebrows when he sees Tahir take the euros out of his wallet, a little bit shocked at his kindness. This man couldn't be too bad, though he wasn't fully sure if his intentions were for the best, hes at least getting some sort of free meal out of it. He tries to focus on making sure his stomach doesn't growl, but damn is he starving.
"Yeah.. She can eat crumbs." He says, with a small, grateful smile starting to form on his lips. "Why're being like this though, really. You just caught me stealing someones wallet. I mean, I'm in no objection to a free meal but.."
He still feels slightly on end talking to another male of his own kind, he definitely has relaxed since their first meeting. Though, he knows people are never as they seem so he decides to keep his guard up for now.

| Tahir was the type of person to really pay attention to the way people reacted. He always felt strongly that actions spoke much louder then words. Cappy had said he needed the money.
But when his face lit up like that at the sight of it, it was clear to Tahir that it wasn't a sob story. He really was desperate for cash.
"We're part of the same pack. We should stick together." He said truthfully. The man himself had never been in a pack before he joined the coven. But he knew what it meant to be in one.
"Your eyes are silver. You weren't born this way." He acknowledged, pointing to his own eyes to indicate that he was the same.
The Persian began to walk towards the nearest restaurant, expecting Cappy to follow.
"How long ago was it?" He asked, curious to know how long the blond had been a lycan. His guess was that it was fairly recent. If the boy was going hungry he most likely didn't know how to hunt.

| Something in Cappys brain suddenly ticked when Tahir said "pack". His eyes gleamed a little and he felt closer to him somehow, perhaps because he hadn't thought of the idea of having a pack like wolves did.. It made sense, he was a lycan after all.
"A pack, huh.." Cappy leaned his head back in thought a little, and he honestly liked the idea of someone looking out for him. "Yeah. Alright." He nods his head a little after in response.
He looks at Tahirs silver eyes, ones that match his own. He didn't know silver eyes was a sign that you weren't born this way, how could he? He'd kept to himself for so many years he barely knows anything about what he is. He walked next to Tahir as he started walking.
"It doesn't seem like long ago at all.. Hell, I'm pretty sure its been at least 3 years. I haven't talked to a lot of people uh.. Like me though. My life just kinda stopped in its tracks after this happened, ya know?" Cappy didn't know why he was being so open with this guy.. Maybe its because he was a lycan as well? Maybe it was because his eyes were silver like his own, and somehow he knows how it feels to be thrown into a life like this?
This always happens. He can't seem to keep his mouth shut sometimes.

| Only three years? That was like the blink of an eye in the amount of time Tahir had lived. And even he was considered young by some members in their pack. He always grimaced when Aodh called him younger terms like "kid" or "pup". Because of that he'd been trying not to call anyone else that.
The man nodded his head as he stared ahead.
He recalled when he was turned into a Lycan. He hadn't been expecting it, but he welcomed it as if it were a gift. It aided him in battle both defensively and offensively.
It was also the reason his sister Arzu was alive to this day. He was certain were it not for the lycan blood they would have died from the attack on Mer.
But he didn't like to talk about his past, so he only grunted in response, as if to say that he did know. It wasn't totally a lie. He did know what it was like to have his life stopped. Hundreds of years were wasted within the body of his sword.
He spotted a bakery that looked like it would accommodate them. It had outdoor seating with little umbrellas for shade. The wind might make eating outside a nuisance but with Cappy's bird they didn't have much choice.
"Sit here and I'll be back, okay?" He said, going inside the bakery to pick out some food for the both of them to eat.

| Cappy nods his head a little and sits down, watching Tahir's back as he walks inside. He moves his index finger up to his bird to let it hop on it, and when the bird does he glides his finger so that his elbow is resting on the table. He looks into the bird's beady eyes, which he has grown ever so accustomed to over the years.
He smiles and ruffles its top feathers, he obviously has an overwhelming affection for the bird.
He takes his eyes away from his precious bird and looks back to the door, eager to finally eat something that can equate to a meal after days of barely having anything to fill his stomach. With this in mind, he almost feels bad for having to steal again later, knowing Tahir wouldn't approve. But alas, that isn't enough to stop him from doing it.

| Tahir entered the bakery and looked over the goods they had to offer, which ranged from sandwiches to cakes and a lot in between. He figured that the young lycan would want a sandwich. The crumbs would be easier to break off and he wouldn't have to worry about the bird choking on frosting...
Tahir furrowed his brow as he comprehended his thoughts.
Would a bird choke on frosting?
He had no damn idea but he did figure it would be a safe bet to just get the sandwich.
He asked the baker for the Milano Ciabatta Sandwich, not just a slice of it but all of it. Which was about sixteen servings. On top of that he decided to grab a dozen Pignoli Cookies as well. He had enough food to entertain a group of people, but instead it was just for him, Cappy, and Mango.
He came out of the bakery and set the heavy amount of food down on the table before Cappy.
"Dig in" He said, pulling a chair out and sitting down himself.

| Cappy's eyes widen the moment his vision lands on that massive amount of food. His appetite had grown after being turned lycan, and he sure did notice it. He'd always adjust himself to small portions of food because he always had an some sort of issue with money, but all that seemed to go to waste when he was turned. After that, he could always call himself at least a little hungry he supposes.
His eyes fluctuate between the food and Tahir, shocked that someone he just met would go through the trouble to do something like this. He doesn't question it though.. The last thing he wants is for the guy to change his mind.
He reaches out and takes a piece of bread from one of the slices and starts breaking it into little bits, his bird chirping merrily from its resumed spot on his shoulder.
"Thank you for this, really." He says as his bird crawls down his arm and starts pecking at the food. He can't seem to stop his stomach from growling now that the foods right in front of him, embarrassingly enough, and reaches out to take the slice he had just taken the top bread from. He takes a big bite of it, wiping the creases of his lips after swallowing.

| Once Cappy grabbed a bit to eat Tahir himself took a slice of the pre-cut sandwich to devour. He ate the whole thing in about three bites, taking another piece.
"Don't mention it." He grunted before chomping down the second piece in no time at all. One would wonder if Tahir was even tasting his food at the rate he snarfed it down.
He ate five servings worth of the sandwich in about three minutes before taking a cookie and leaning back to look over the city, out to the coast line. The breeze tussled through his hair but it had calmed down enough that it wasn't bothering him.
He really loved all food, and Italian was a big new range of flavors he hasn't been used to when he was still in Khorasan.
Salami in particular was becoming one of his favorite foods.
His eyes turned to the young pup and he studied him for a moment. The two of them were both strong lycan beasts. He pitied that the boy felt he had to pickpocket in order to get by. That was such a human need, and they were better then that.
"Have you ever been hunting?" He asked after a little silence.

| Cappy had just finished his third sandwich, he'd been trying to keep up with him while eating, when Tahir asks him if he'd ever been hunting. And the truth was.. He hasn't! He hasn't done anything with lycan abilities from the moment he turned, nor did he even know what those /were/.
While drifting from place to place he'd tried to act as normal as possible. The last thing he wanted was for someone to know what he was and be ridiculed. He'd never hunted before because of that.. He wasn't even fully sure what the older male meant by hunting completely.
"Hunting?" He questions while letting his bird nibble some more bread. He can't help but feel a little embarrassed for not having yet.. It was probably a normal thing for them. But hey, everyone gets by different ways and he figures he shouldn't be pressured on those kinds of standards.
"I haven't" He nods his head no.

| "Yeah I figured you hadn't." Tahir said, his voice blunt. He leaned forward and rested his elbow on the table.
"No lycan would be having food problems if he knew how to hunt." The man stated with a small grin. As he talked he used his hand to emphasize certain words. He was still holding the cookie though so it looked kinda funny.
Realizing this Tahir ate the whole cookie in nearly one bite, a few crumbs getting into his beard. He scratched the crumbs out and instead of wiping them off the table pushed them in Mango's direction.
"And in case you're too lazy to hunt but you want food, the coven has a kitchen. It's always restocked by those of us that can hunt or afford it and everyone is allowed to eat." He also knew that Cappy most likely wasn't aware of the kitchen.
"If you want sometime I could teach you how to catch your own food. The only reason you'd want to keep stealing now that you have unlimited food is for the adrenalin rush. And let me tell you hunting is a great sport, a lot more exciting than thieving people's wallets" He said.
He wouldn't admit it, but he actually really wanted a hunting partner. He liked being on his own, but it would be nice for him to share his skill with someone. He knew he would have his child to teach eventually, but it would be a few years before they were old enough to go hunting with him.

| Cappy was curious before, but now he felt more enticed than he had been when Tahir mentions he'd have no more food problems. He hadn't known about the kitchen at the Coven either, thinking about the trouble he went through to take someones wallet now made him feel a little silly. Cappy leans back in his seat a little and crosses his arms, nodding his head a bit as Tahir speaks to let him know he understands.
He would like to know how to hunt. Since theres no way of changing what he is he figures he might as well soak in the benefits, and in his mind endless food is all he could really wish for right now. It'd be a security he's never had in his life.
"Yeah.. Thanks. It'd be really cool if you could teach me sometime, I'd appreciate it." A little lop sided smile inches across his face, a thankful one. "Really, thank you."
A creeping feeling of wanting to say more to thank Tahir stuck on him, but sadly Cappy had never been much of the people person. He'd been by himself for so long on the road he sort of forgot how to carry on a conversation until he met Victoria.. And it was only her that gave him the will to do so in the first place. He could carry a conversation with his good friends from where he'd been raised but he never felt truly interested in what they had to say.

| Luckily, Tahir wasn't really the type to carry on extensive conversations either. He was a man of few words, even with those he was closest with.
With Alexis he spoke to her more with his actions, and with Arzu it was a mutual sibling understanding. Just a few words was all he had ever needed to communicate with her.
He wondered where she had been the last few days. Every time he thought of her he tried to push it back in his mind. It hurt too much to dwell on.
He could hardly bare the reality of it when Alexis was there to support him. But now that wasn't the case, and Tahir would easily be able to drive himself insane with worry for the both of them.
"No problem. Like I said, you're part of the pack." Tahir replied, picking up another slice of the sandwich to devour.
