Taking it slow

Alexander was feeling anxious as he stood outside the dark door that was lilims room. He had been building up the courage to speak to her all evening and now he couldn't back out of it.

Oh dear, What if she thinks im some creep coming to her room?
negative thoughts filled his head as he knocked on the door three time.

"um...lilim? are you there?"

he waited patiently for a reply.

Lilim was speeding her time as she did most of the time. Alone reading her books. If it wasn't a force of habit shed slap herself silly for doing such a thing when her main reason for coming here was to not be a cave dweller.

She perked up at the sound of a knock to her door. The voice that called for her was very familiar. "Come in! Im behind to bookshelves!" She smiled. She loved the way the room was set up. Segregating herself from the other roommates if more then Val were to bunk with her.

Alexander opened the Door slowly, not wanting to hit anything that may be in the way.

as soon as he entered his jaw dropped to the floor. the room was beautiful, th it was like a small library with a bed in the middle of it all.

Alexander peered round the bookshelves and saw Lilim. at her sight he smiled.
" good evening Lilim. I must say, your room is amazing

it truely was in his eyes. Alexander had only ever seen rooms like this back in his family estate.

"Well hello Alex" Lilims face when form her bland reading face to her perky and happy. She marked her place in her book before lightly setting it on the desk.

"Thank you" Lilim loved to be complimented rather it was her looks or anything else, but she was defiantly proud of the idea she had for the room.

Alexander noticed the change in her facial features and smiled.
It was a happy feeling that someone is glad to see you.

Alexander spotted the book as she closed it and wondered what it was.
"I can see you enjoy reading. Is it a good book?"

Alexander gestures to the book that was now on the desk.

"All books are good books. Even the ones about us sparkiling~" Lilim laughed.

alexander laughed with her, recalling a certain book that he had read not long ago.

" yes i would have to agree there, do you have any favourites?

alexander moved slowly closer to her

Lilim smiled, pretending to pay no mind to his moments because she would gladly invite him to get closer anyways; there wasn't any need for him to be nervous.

"But of course! Shakespeare, Poe, Stephen King. Im the classic "emo" nutcase you might say" she laughed shaking her head at the silly little stereotype.

Alexander smiled and laughed at the emo coment and seeing no reaction moved closer still.
" ah, sir edgar alan poe. Such a nice guy. I think the raven is one of my favours."
akexander smiled.

"The Tell-tale Heart and The Cask of Amontillado~" She sighed swooning lightly and pulling her hand up to lay on her chest. "Wonderful stories! Death is quite interesting, though I wish not to feel it" She laughed throwing a smile in Alexs direction.

Alexander looked at the girl with fasinated eyes, the comment she had just made struck him to the core.

Death, how i wish for it sometimes... not having to feel the constant pain anymore.
" yes death can be quite...beautiful. its mysteries and its hold on life. but without death we could not truely respect and chrerish life.

he smiled and pointed to a perticular book shelf. "may I take a look?

Lilim looked back at him with the same fascinated smile. She could tell he had the gift of a muse behind his eyes. For her death had a certain dark beauty to it, although it always depressed her. At the moment of death your brain shuts off and then there's... nothingness. His words about not being able to truly cherish life without death defiantly hit her, it was a message she wished she could get out to everyone.

"Of course." She answered his question.

Alexander smiled politely before reaching a a somewhat older looking book. As he pulled it gently down he relised it was hamlet. A play with so much ,eaning to him it was unreal.

He craddled the book in his arm and gently opened the delicate and old book.

" hmm hamlet. One of my favourites. The way it reminds me of days gone by is quite poetic really. *Turns to look at lilim* what book reminds you of the past?"

Lilim smiled and chuckles at him. "What past?" Lilim herself didn't have much of a past at all. Only past was dead husbands and her dad. She lived a life of only reading and watching a few movies, but mainly reading.

She smiled wider at him letting him know it wasn't for sympathys sake that she was begin serious and that she was okay with it. Her past didn't bother her at all. All that mattered is that she was here in the present.

Alexander noded his respect for her words and smiled again.

Walking back towards lilim alexander stumbled slightly but managed to catch himself.

He chuckled lightly.
"that was a close one, i think i need to sit down. "

Alexander looked for a seat of any kinda and only saw the bed. Akward... Seems he would have to remain standing.

Lilim giggled lightly at his stumble. Such a silly boy for some one much older then herself. It only added more to his cute factor. She read his movement enough to know he'd feel weird sitting on the bed and laughed louder. She smiled devilishly going over her options. Sit on the bed with him or rise form her chair and sit on the bed herself. She wanted to poke fun at him but, she thought twice about it. She decided to let him have the chair.

"Now now be much more careful." She found a golden opportunity to poke fun at him anyways "I don make you nervous do I?" She sent a flirty smile his way before lightly pushing him in the chair and taking her spot on her bed.

Alexander played with a strand of hair as he always did when he was nervous or slightly embarrassed.

he smiled at lilims cute giggle before feeling her soft and small hands against his chest. he immediately blushed as he fell lightly into the seat and tried to hide it with the book.

"nervous, me? never. *puts down the book* im simply happy"

Alexander relaxed into the chair as he watched Lilim rest on the wonderful bed.

Lilim rested a hand across her abdomen right under her bosom , she rested her elbow on the arm trying to cover her grins and smiles with a hand.

"Happy is good nothing wrong with happy" she laughed.

Alexander relaxed futher feeling no hostility towards him.

good, she hasn't told her anything.

Alexander smiled back and played with his hair again.

indeed it is, but what is happiness really? some people just don't know. *sighs* im sorry im becoming morbid again, please forgive me

"Oh~" Lilim started up again "Fell no sorrow young prince! She stood and threw her hand in the air. "Happiness is what you feel when you smile, when you laugh, when yore near some one you enjoy. Happiness is everywhere. You don't have to look for it. Studies show that if you smile when you feel bad you'll feel better anyways. Happiness is a gift. Cherish every moment of happiness"

Lilim walked to him leaning in forward and tapped his nose lightly with her pointer finger.

Alexander laughed at the small drmatic display. he was enjoying himself and decided to act on it.

he stood up next to her and began. "Oh dear maiden then teach me happiness, let us live like a fairytale couple and not worry about the sins of the past"

Alexander took Lilims hand and started humming a tune.

!shall we dance?"

Alexande laughed and smiled. he was having fun

Lilim dramatically tossed the back of her palm to her forehead. "I mustn't love you kind prince! But I cant help myself!" Her cheek slightly reddened as her hand was taken. "Let us dance!" It was taking everything in Lilim not to burst out laughing. Her cheek were slightly pained from smiling to wide.

Alexander took her and held her close trying not to blush. he took Lilim into a slow foxtrot still humming the tune.

Alexander could not help but smile his cheeks slightly red.



wow, shes so wonderful... NO! alex dont get involved you will only hurt her... you dontwant another mess like valora...

Lilim followed his lead with grace. She never had the chance to really practice her dance but with previous weddings before she still knew what to do. She looked up to him and smiled. "Your cheeks are red~" She teased, not having much room to speak at all seeing how hers were getting there.

Alexander took her through the steps masterfully as they glided across the small room.

Alexander smiled not caring about the blushing.

he smiled mischeviously holding her closer.
