Moe hummed to herself as she mixed together different ingredients with a wooden spoon.

One thing she had never gotten on with was the electric mixer. She enjoyed hand-making food herself.

Especially when it came to cakes. She loved making cakes.

Isabela's heels clicked as she walked towards the kitchen, planning on making lunch for herself. Chicken, most probably. Easy and simple to cook. But, then again, steak sounded good.

Opening the door, she was taken aback from the sight of another woman. Then mentally reminded herself she was sharing a mansion with a larger group of people - composing of four different species. Including her own.

She placed a warm and homely smile on he face, insistently recognising the woman's Lycan scent, a long with something else. Not vampire, for sure. She didn't let a frown fall on her face as she tried to figure it out.

"Evening." She made her way over to the other woman, collecting a few utensils for herself. "You don't mind me cooking here, do you?"

Moe's bright eyes flickered up to the door when she heard footsteps. They were too light to be a man's and the didn't sound like her grandma's or sister's.

A bright smile stretched across her features as the woman appeared in the doorway. The smile froze in place when the woman's scent tickled at her nose. She knew that scent; she knew that scent well. Lycan.

That immediately piqued her curiosity. She hadn't ever met a female Lycan before. She hadn't even been sure they existed. Alek, Aodh and Coilean were always saying that female Lycan were rare so she was special and needed to be treasured. It was...odd meeting another female after so long of being the only female in the pack.

The frozen expression thawed out, though, when the woman spoke. A small blush painted her cheeks when she realised she had stopped all movement to stare at the woman. She probably thought the hybrid was rude now...

She ducked her head, staring down at the half-mixed mess in the large bowl in her arms. "N-no, it's fine."

And now she was stuttering. Not good. The woman probably thought she was stupid, too. What a great way to leave a good first impression.

She raised an eyebrow at the other woman's blush and stutter, and her generally confused expression.

Brushing it off, her smile widened a smidgen at the shorter woman. Much shorter, to her pleasure.

"Obrigado."

Setting out her ingredients, she turned back to the red-head a gave a pointed look at the bowl.

"It is not going to stir itself, you know."

Giving a toothy-grin at the woman, trying to show only good-humour in what she said, she glance around the kitchen again. She still had not figure out where everything was in her small time here. And the other woman's scent was niggling at her in wonder at what the other part of the red-head was.

"You won't mind telling me where the cutlery is...? What s your name?"

Obrigado = Thanks

She cocked her head to the side slightly when the woman spoke in a language she didn't know. As always, a shiver ran down her spine. She loved listening to languages she couldn't understand. They sounded...beautiful.

Her blush darkened when the woman called her out and she bowed her head further, hiding behind a curtain of bright orange hair as she began to stir the mixture again.

"I-I'm Moe," she muttered quietly. "Takaha-" She cleared her throat. "Leon Moe." This was the first time she had introduced herself as Zeke's wife. She hadn't met anyone new since the wedding. It felt good to be using the man's family name instead of the clans.

A soft smile curved her lips.

But she quickly snapped out of the lovey-dovey thoughts of her husband. "Grandma usually keeps her utensils in one place." She set her bowl down on the counter and flitted forwards towards a large drawer a few feet away.

The hybrid pulled it open and smiled at the woman over her shoulder. "Most are kept in here..." She gave an awkward smile. "I'm sorry, I don't know your name."

"Leon? Interesting name."

She ideally wondered for a slit second on why a female would have a males name. Or why she quickly decided to go by a different name But she did not question it. To get answers out of people (like; what was here other scent, along with her lycan one), you needed to get to know them a little. Or torture. But she figured that will not go down to well.

"Grandma?"

She headed over to the utensils unit, picking out the ones she needed, sending an apologetic smile to Moe.

"Isabela. Or whatever shortened version you prefer."

"It's my family name," she explained. The woman didn't know about the order of Asian names, that was clear.

"Grandma Giacinto. She's the Vampire Elder that owns the mansion." She smield brightly at the woman. Though she wasn't related by blood, Giacinto had fallen into the role of grandmother that her own grandmother had never taken.

Here in the coven she had such a large, loving family. It was nice.

She nodded and flitted back to her bowl, stirring it a little more before pouring into a large, greased baking tin. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Isabela-san."

Isabela's mouth turned into a small 'o'. "So, your name is Moe, not Leon?" Her cheeks pinked a little. "Sorry."

Vampire? She stopped her lips pursing a little, keeping the small and friendly smile on her face. The one thing she felt a little uncomfortable about this place was getting cosy with vampires. She liked it better when they went on with their lives and she went on with hers - at a good distance. Bar a few.

Though, despite the other woman calling Giacinto er 'Grandmother', it was defiantly not vampire that she can pick up from her scent - except maybe a few light traces from being around them.

"Please, just Isabela."

Turning the grill on, she combined garlic and oil into a bowl before mixing.

"So, I assume most of your family is here?" She asked, wanting to keep a conversation going with the other woman, setting out the steak to oil them with the mixture she just made.

She nodded with a smile. "It's fine. I lived in Japan; our way of giving our name is backwards compared to here in the West." It was strange how different the West was to the East.

The differences were interesting.

Another interesting difference was the lack of honorifics. There was no way anyone in Japan would ask them to call them just by their given name so soon after meeting them.

The hybrid shook her head softly. "No, most of my family is in Japan. I only have a few family members here. My father, uncle and grandfather and my husband." Those were her official family members. Giacinto and Taylor weren't really related to her. She just had very close bonds with them.

She set the baking tin full of cake mix into the oven and closed the door.

Humming softly to herself, she began to collect together dirty utensils and dumped them into the sink to wash. Se had always been in the habit of washing up while her food was cooking.

Silver eyes lingered on the red-headed lycan. A little surprised that she already had a husband, she did not look all that old. Then again, she could just look younger then what she is.

Turning back to the meat, he sprinkled salt and pepper onto both sides before sticking it into the grill. She decided on just having a steak for lunch - rather then deal with all the hassle that came with preparing a full blown meal.

"Shall we just tidy up together?"

Before the other woman could answer, she placed her used utensils in the bowl next to the smaller woman, and began to clean up their counters. Before picking up a cloth to dry the dishes Moe just washed.

Her nose twitched a little as she tried once again to work out what the other woman's scent was, her brain running through a few possibilities. Wit it bugging her a little now, she debating on whether she should just ask the other lycan or not.

"So, any kids then?."

The hybrid nodded with a smile and began to wash the bowls and utensils clean.

She put a lot of effort into the menial task, knowing that Giacinto had a deep emotional attachment to her kitchen and wouldn't like anything left dirty or not cleaned properly.

The Lycan bit her lip and stared down at the dirty dish water.

Why did everyone find the need to ask her about children? Did being married mean you had to have children? Was it a necessity?

"No, I don't have children." Her tone wasn't snappy, but it wasn't quite as bright as it was before.

She didn't have children and she didn't want them yet. Her tokophobia was still far too active in her mind to think about having children yet.

Picking up on the less chirpy tone, she glanced over at Moe. She raised an eyebrow slightly in wonder of why Moe did not have children, especially with the way she stated she didn't have any. Was she not ready, unable to, or just simply did not want them.

"Not ready to have them?"

She tided away the cleaned and dried equipment. Taking a moment every now and then to remember where everything went while she waited patiently for an answer from Moe.

She shook her head gently. "Not yet."

Not for a good few years.

She had thought about children and she did want them; very much. But she was still far too scared of pregnancy and childbirth to have them.

She smiled brightly when her eyes landed on the clock. Washing up had taken a fair amount of time. "The cake's nearly done," she chirped, bright mood snapping back as if it had never left.

The woman flitted to a large cupboard, pulling out packs of icing and different cake decorating equipment.

She loved decorating cakes.

Zeke had been laying out in the garden when the scent of something baking hit his nose.
Something that smelt that good could only have been made by one of two people, Moe or Gia, either way he was not going to miss his chance at digging into what ever they had made.

He got to his feet and jogged into the manor, if Aodh caught scent of it he would have no chance so he hurried along, slowing down as he reached the kitchen.

"I could smell food."
He explained as he padded into the kitchen, shirtless as usual, too distracted by the thought of eating to notice who was in the kitchen.

Eagerly he made his way to the oven, peering through the glass to see what was inside.
