Dick felt like maybe he should give out warnings like: "Be careful of the road!" Things that he would expect the designated adult to say, or even heard them say when there are hoards of school children out and about. But even in his head, that sounded ridiculous. Especially since all nine of them were still well behaved.

While he could never know for certain, Dick had a sneaking suspicion that if it was him and his siblings at their age and day, they wouldn't be even close to being well behaved.

So he stayed silent, following the children through the quiet part of the city. Keeping an eye out for any danger and making sure a child didn't go wandering off or being left behind. Every minute he was doing a head check.
