He wanted to get back to that bar and mix himself a drink.

"Lyo, you can go fuck yourself."

Maks replied, shooting a glare at the man. He would much rather go get another tattoo from Ferret and never have to put up with this woman.

"I'll take as long as I damned well like. You can't rush art."

She my have slowed down a little, just to spite the kid.

Lyo's eyes slid closed as he leant back against the wall. "I'm fancying sweet and sour cabbage tonight."

"You wanna get Chinese on the way home then? Or you cookin' it?"

He asked, he could go for Chinese take-up tonight.

"I want szechuan beef."

He added, tilting his head to the side to crack it as he relaxed.

"Maybe some spring rolls."

"Not the Chinese shit. Take out has seriously ruined your tastebuds."

No, he wanted some good braised sweet and sour like grandma always made.

"I want to stop off at the market." There'd be a dozen stands selling sweet and sour cabbage at the market.

"Well I can't cook so what do you think I eat when you're not around?"

His entire catalog of cooking recipes was toast, mac and cheese and fried eggs.

That was pretty much it so if he wanted something filling it was either take-out or Alyosha.

"You have to learn. I'm going to be around forever to feed your sorry ass."

This was a conversation the two had fairly often, too. Maks was a useless cook and too lazy to learn. That bothered the maid of the house (Alyosha, who did the majority of the cooking cleaning and washing).

"You can have some good old Russian cuisine tonight. We can attempt to save your poor dying tastebuds."
