| Name: Liu Daji (劉妲己)
Gender: Agender (the human construct of gender is below them) Species: Huli jing (Chinese fox spirit) Physical Age: 16 years old Biological age: 88 years old Height: 5’1 Birthday: August 20th Sexual Orientation: Asexual panromantic Nationality: Chinese
Pets: None
Eye Colour: Red Hair Colour: Soft orange, tinting into white Skin Colour: Tanned
Personality: Daji is a trickster by nature, whose general code of conduct is to tease and scare humans. Having not met many other supernatural creatures in their lifetime, particularly European ones, they are naturally wary of them and are very tricky to befriend. Rather than believing in head-on meetings and confrontations, Daji will often hide in the bushes or behind walls and then leap out to scare any passerby, after which they will either run away or engage in playful conversation depending on the consequence. Daji isn’t easy to please, and although they always seem cheerful they have little belief in others. Usually they will form only loose friendships, and it’s very difficult to break down their emotional walls and earn their trust. In human form, Daji is a very beautiful, androgynous person. Because of this, Daji will often lead people on, although they really have no intention of it going any further. This is all a part of their trickster persona as well.
Powers: They can shape shift into a fox form, and anywhere between a human and a fox if they like. They also have a bewitching beauty, but this can only work on those with gullible minds. They are weak to paper charms, which when burnt will cause them to never be allowed to return to that area. They will also be forced to return to their fox form if they are drunk. If their tail is cut off, they will lose their magical powers forever and remain trapped in fox form.
History: Back in their homeland, China, Daji was the sidekick and “pet” of a powerful demon. This demon was so famous that he even had a shrine dedicated to him, and so Daji also prospered from the many offerings left there. Daji spent many years comfortably by the demon’s side, living only to serve him as many fox spirits often did with demon masters. One day, Daji’s master suddenly disappeared. Apparently there was a hunt for the demon and he had been killed by the villagers due to poor harvests, but Daji didn’t believe it. They searched far and wide for him, even travelling to distant lands. They learnt that in other countries spirits weren’t quite so revered as they were back home, and so they had to learn to look after themself. Finally they arrived in Italy, with still no luck. Daji was tired of searching, and realised that perhaps their master had been dead this whole time. Too tired to even return to China, where they no longer had any place, they stayed in Italy and were taken in by the mansion. | |
