[C] Cheer Up

Jika gave a loud, happy whine as Dario stroked and praised him, leaning into the man's hand and licking at his arm lovingly.

"He is."

Rayner replied with a soft smile.

"Shame we can't take him out more."

He would have loved to have a yard to play with Jika in, not that it mattered, the pup was happy enough as it was.

Dario gave a soft hum in response.

He'd like to take Jika out more, too. He wanted to see Jika happily running around yapping up a storm.

That was unfortunately difficult to do.

Which really was a shame.

"Hayden mentioned something about going out, but I can't remember what he said."

The Vampire replied, pursing his lips, he was oddly forgetful sometimes, when he was writing anything he was told went in one ear and out the other.

If it wasn't for Jika's persistence when hungry he would forget to feed to pup, and himself.

"We'll talk to Hayden and see if we can't make a plan to go out and all spend some time together."

A night out would be nice for all of them.

He'd love for them all to go out and spend some much-needed quality time with each other.

Rayner curled up a little on the couch as the movie started, leaning over slightly and resting his head up against the man's shoulder.

"That sounds like a nice idea."

He didn't get out much, heading out for the occasional walk was about it, he still wasn't confident enough to venture into town, plus there was a chance that Cy and Sonia would be down there and he wasn't allowed to see either of them anymore.

Dario's fingers ran through the Vampire's hair gently.

A little smile curled his lips.

Every day the Vampire was getting more and more affectionate. It was great to see him slowly getting over his past.

"I think we'll all enjoy it."

Rayner was still highly distrusting of people, but Dario, Hayden and Kajika had quickly become his world.

None of them had ever given him a reason not to trust them and he adored them, even if he was a little timid of showing it.

Despite the movie he left his eyes slide shut with a soft purr as Dario's fingers pushed through his hair.

None of them wanted to push Ray.

They all wanted him to feel comfortable while he was here. None of them would ever dare think of doing something to make his trust in them break.

He smiled when Ray's eyes slid closed as he purred softly.

Cute.

Rayner was comfortable, more so than he had ever been.

The more he wrote of his book the more he remembered of his past, he remembered life before Cy.

Even back then he wasn't as happy as he was when he was with his newly adopted family.

"Dario..."

He murmured softly as that realization dawned on him, a small smile gracing his lips as he looked up at the man for him position on his shoulder.

"You make me happy."

He added, a small sentiment to most, but it meant a lot to him.

Dario smiled softly.

He was glad Ray felt happy around him.

He'd achieved one of his greatest goals. Made Ray happy. That made Dario feel great.

"You make me happy, too."
