[C] Moving House

It had taken a while for Cyneric to get up off his ass to look for a house for the two of them.

But when he did finally make a move, he had everything finalised in a matter of days. Cyneric procrastinated quite a few things, but when he started something, he got it done quickly and efficiently.

Now the two had a house. Back in the next town over, but still it was a home. Honestly, Cyneric preferred the next town over.

The Vampire loaded one last box onto the moving van that he had hired before making his way back towards the now almost empty apartment.

"Honey, it's time to leave," he called out as he stepped back into their old apartment.

Rayner did one last check of the apartment, nothing he could notice had been left behind, all of his belongings were all ready packed up and boxed away in the van.

He gave one last look at the now empty bedroom, a small smile appearing on his pale lips.

He had grown to despise that room, there were some fond memories of it, and other not very fond ones, he would be glad to never step foot in it again.

"Coming."

He called as he padded out of the bedroom, meeting his sire at the front door, purring gently as the cool night air flowed through it at over his body, he adored being allowed outside.

"It's not a very long drive."

It would take ten minutes. Twenty tops.

"You can sit in the garden until I get everything inside." He'd allow that much. Rayner had behaved very well since he'd been told they were moving to a place with a garden.

He opened the passenger door for Ray, closing it when his fledgeling was sitting inside. He slid over the bonnet and into the drivers side.

"Ready?"

Rayner thanked Cy as he slid into the car, it had been a long time since he had been in a car, they always walked into town.

He caressed the leather seat idly as he buckled himself in and got comfortable, it often perplexed him how some experiences could seem so new, yet so common at the same time.

"Ready."

He replied with a small smile, he was genuinely excited about their move, he couldn't wait to see the new house and sit out in the garden.

They had their own garden now, that was enough to bring the fledgling excitement.

Cy wasn't too fond of cars.

He didn't refuse to use them, but he'd much rather walk places if he could. This time that just wasn't an option. They had a lot of boxes and he didn't trust others to carry them around without damaging them or rooting through them.

Without any of the safety precautions that seemed to be ingrained into humans, he turned the key in the ignition and they were off. Human safety amused him. What would a scrap of material do to save them if they crashed?

The drive was quick and quiet. Cy didn't talk. There was no music on the radio. The only sound there was was the sound of their breathing and whatever was outside.

Cy pulled up in front of their new house, leaning back in his seat, eyes sliding shut for a moment.

The house was large. A big picturesque detached house with a large front garden and an even bigger back garden. There was a tree in the middle of the front garden with a tyre swing hanging from it.

The house itself looked big enough to be four or five bedrooms.

Cy had decided that the more space they had the better.

"Look okay?" he murmured softly, eyes flickering open to gaze at his fledgeling.

Rayner curled up on his seat comfortably for the trip, he rarely made idle chit chat, after all he spent most of his time inside and all the interaction he had was with Cyneric, he really didn't have much to talk about with the man that he didn't already know.

The man perked up considerably when they pulled into their new home.

He nodded slowly at the question as he looked over at Cy.
"It's much bigger than I expected."
Going from their tiny apartment to this was a huge improvement, he was going to have so much space to wander around in during the nights that he wasn't allowed out.

This was definitely a family home, an amusing thought given that they would be the new owners of this house. He could imagine a wife making baked goods while the children and dog ran around in the yard playing. That imagery made the fledgling chuckle softly as he turned back to the house. This house wouldn't know their kind, their...habits, but that would change quickly enough, soon it would be just as tainted as they were.

"Space is a necessity."

Most of the rooms would be put to good use. They'd be using three of the rooms constantly. Cy didnt know what to do for the fourth room yet.

He'd probably come up with something.

Cy slid out of the van and moved around to open up the back. It was crammed with boxes and small pieces of furniture.

"Go explore the grounds. Don't go past the fences," he ordered as he pulled out one of the smaller boxes and began strolling towards the house.

"Wait. Come here and unlock the door for me first. Key's in my left pocket."

Rayner gave a small nod of understanding, he could roam around freely as long as he didn't venture past the fence, that was easy enough to do.

He too began walking toward the house, intent on inspecting the large tree out the front when Cy called him back.

He padded over and reached into the man's pocket, pulling out the keys and heading to the front door, unlocking it for his Sire before putting the key back into Cy's back pocket.

"I'm going to see the backyard."

He muttered as he headed back outside, moving down the side of the house and into the backyard.

"Nu-uh. Kiss first. I did this for you. I deserve a thank you for it."

He'd be taking his proper thank you when they'd gotten settled in later in the evening. But, until then, this would have to suffice for a decent thank you.

Once he was content, he bumped his fledgeling with his hip.

"Have fun. I'll call you when I get all the boxes in and the furniture sorted out."

The Vampire pushed open the door with his shoulder and ventured inside to dump the box in the appropriate room.

"Thank you."

He replied, giving the man a small smile as he leaned up and pressed a kiss to his lips.

Cy really had been accommodating, granted he still didn't have the amount of freedom that he wanted, but this was enough for now, being able to have some time to himself to just be outside.

Rayner made his way out into the yard, it was larger than the one out the front, it had been well tended to, that much was obvious.

He found a nice patch of lawn and sprawled out onto it, staring up at the nights sky.

It really was a lovely evening and being out here he could breath easily, the wide open space calmed him immensely.

Each room already had furniture and boxes inside. Cy had ordered numerous things for the new house so they could set them up as soon as they got here.

It took him less than an hour to completely empty the van and start setting things up inside.

The most important room was done first. The play room. Cy was careful with setting each piece up just how he had imagined the room looking.

When he was done, he stepped back to admire his work. Excellent. They could have their fun tonight, if nothing else.

His attention turned to his own room now. This had already had numerous large boxes in it before he had started moving his stuff into it. He pulled open the boxes to reveal a large amount of cages and rodent runs.

Pushing up the sleeves of his shirt, he got to work setting the runs up; connecting them all together so it was easy to run between them all.

Once done setting the runs up inside his room, he took the venture further, attaching runs to the hallway walls and into every room.

As he was finishing setting up the runs in the kitchen, he called out to his Fledgeling. "Honey, time to come in."

Rayner sat up as he heard Cy's voice, he gave the garden one last yearning look before pulling himself onto his feet, dusting the blades of grass off of his back and heading into the house.

Tomorrow he would ask to go outside again, hopefully he would be able to stay out for the entire evening, though he doubted he would be allowed that much time away from his Sire.

"I'm in."

He called back as he walked through the front door, shutting it behind him, knowing that going back out again tonight wouldn't be an option.

Slowly he walked down the hall and toward the kitchen, looking at each open room he passed.

"This place is even larger inside."

He added in surprise as he entered the large kitchen area, shame they would get so few opportunities to actually use it.

"It'll suffice."

The house would do. They could live in it comfortably enough. Better than their old apartment at the very least.

"I left yours and Sweetheart's room alone. The two of you can work on decorating it together when I give you some free time."

Cy tilted his head as he fixed the last run to the wall, grinning as he planted his hands on his hips. "Done." This would give him easier access to any room in the house.

"I'm sharing a room with Sonia?"

He asked, surprise entering his tone as he looked at Cyneric, his eyes widening slightly.

"Is that such a good idea? You've not left me alone in a room with her before."

The girl would be staying over more often now that they had their own house, he knew that much for certain, the idea was daunting, more so since he wasn't even certain that Sonia liked him, she just seemed to tolerate his presence.

The Vampire's eyes flickered to Ray, narrowing slightly.

"Are you doubting my decisions?"

Cy turned slowly, cocking his head to the side as he gazed at Ray silently for a few long moments.

"I could always have you sleep in a cage until you think you can tolerate sharing a room with her."

He arched a brow, waiting for the boy's response.

Rayner's eyes narrowed in response but eased back into a calmer expression, he had to learn how to control his temper, he was moments away from pulling his lips back over his fangs and snarling at his sire.

That would not end well at all, he knew that much.

He didn't like being restrained, the ropes and chains were bad enough, he didn't want to be stuffed into a cage when he desired more freedom.

His head hung slightly as his eyes moved away from the man's face, instead landing on the floor.

"No, I'm sorry, it's fine. I'll learn to control myself."
He mumble, forcing the darkness out of his voice.

Cy's lips curled up into a crooked grin.

That's what I thought. "Good boy."

Cy stepped back, taking a seat on one of the barstools dotted around the kitchen.

"Dinnertime before you thank me properly for the house."

Cy patted his thigh, beckoning Ray to come and take what he needed.

He hated it when Cy looked at him like that, he could feel himself crumbling under his Sire's glare.

Rayner was a weak creature, even now he wanted to tell the man he wasn't hungry and go back outside where he had been content.

He would never do it though, Cy's punishments were too harsh and his stomach still yearned desperately for his blood.

The fledgeling exhaled deeply before walking toward the man, his arms wrapping around Cy's shoulders and he nuzzled in face in again his neck, pressing a soft kiss to it in apology.

He needed this man, even if he could be cruel at time.

His arms slid around Ray's waist when his Fledgeling hugged him.

His lips pressed to Ray's neck when he felt the boy's lips against his own.

Despite his cruel punishments and strict nature, he could be gentle when he wanted to be. He enjoyed these gentle moments as much as Ray did.

"Feed. We've got a busy night ahead of us."

Rayner's fangs were already extended from the little outburst he almost had.

As he was instructed to his lips parted, sharp fangs pressed into the man's neck.

He had gotten a lot better when it came to feeding, his heart still raced erratically but he could control his bite well enough not to tear the man's neck to shreds, instead cutting four neat holes into his flesh.

Rayner's lips sealed around the wound as he began to feed, taking in deep pulls of blood as his arms tightened around his Sire.

Cy's eyes slid shut when Ray's fangs pierced his skin.

"I'm going to have to break you out of this little habit," he murmured softly.

Cy wasn't fond of drinking from the neck. He much preferred the thighs. He'd have Ray take a preference in drinking from people's thighs too.

He found marks on peoples necks tacky. People were so obsessed with Vampires now that they actually created those marks themselves. It was repulsive. He didn't want to fall into that trend.

He didn't care what other people did, whether Vampires had been gloried in films and books to the point where humans obsessed over them.

Rayner liked people's neck, it was easy to get to, he didn't have to mess about trying to get Cyneric's pants off, plus the arteries were just sitting there, so ripe for the picking.

He drank deeply, his hands smoothing over his Sire's back as he fed.

He was determined to get Ray to prefer feeding from people's thighs.

Even if it took a long time and a lot of punishments to get him to that point.

Cy's fingers slid under his Fledgeling's shirt, stroking at his warm skin gently as the boy continued to feed from him. He'd allow it now. But after this feeding, he wouldn't allow him to feed from the neck any more.

He purred into the man's neck as his body was stroke, pressing closer to his sire as he took another deep pull of blood.

Rayner had used up his the days supply of self control when he stopped himself from snarling at his sire, as well as biting him without brutality, as such there was no way he was going to be able to pull himself away from the man's neck before it got to the point where he needed to stop.

His fangs pushed in a little deeper as his mouthfuls became more greedy.

Cy gave an amused little hum as Ray's fangs pushed deeper into his neck.

"Greedy child," he murmured softly.

He'd been feeding Ray a little better recently. Since then, Ray had been taking more and more blood from him when he fed.

The Vampire slid his fingers under the waistband of his Fledgeling's jeans, gripping his backside firmly and pulling him closer, parting his thighs so he could wrap his legs around Ray's waist.
