Aches and Tensions

Valora was sitting on a large boulder, wearing a leather jacket to hide her markings on her skin a bit more now she was out in public, and she was staring out to sea.

the sea was calm and a dark sapphire color in the pale light of the full moon. the waves gently broke against the sand, and there was little to no noise beside the faint breeze whistling through the rocks and caves.

her head had been hurting a lot recently, just a painful headache that throbbed continuously.

she winced at another painful throb.

Valora had no idea what caused it, but it was getting worse and worse each day. it had started out barely there, now she couldn't even train or meditate with her head in this state.

not only that, but she had continuous thoughts running through her head about everything and nothing, making the headache worse.

she fiddled with the hem of her jacket and bit her lip hard and leaned forwards as she was almost blinded by the pain of her headache for a moment.

taking a few deep breaths, it eased a little. she had come to the beach in the hopes the new air would help sooth it.....it didn't do much for her.

she was just thankful the beach was empty and she wouldn't cause a scene or attract attention easily

she missed her family, oddly, and didn't at the same time...more she missed the house she used to live in. the servants were always kind to her and would help ease her headaches....she couldn't remember how they did that.

right then, she just wanted someone to lean on

Alexander was not too far away but was playing quietly in the surf with his pet and companion. it had been too long since he and her had relaxed in the sea, splashing and swimming and laughing.

it is a strange sensation to hear a baby dragon laugh, it brings up such strong emotions and not always happy ones. as beautiful as dragons were they were also very misunderstood.

The Dragon had just 'beaten' Alexander in a race to find a fish to cook and eat and had decided to drop her winnings straight on to his face and sit there laughing. amuzing as it was Alex frowned slightly before deciding that they shouldhead back.

Alexander and his pet dragon waded through the surf and were coming back to the beach when the dragon chirped and ran off to a large rock to the left of them. Alex watched what she was doing until he spyed a very pained figure of Valora.

He slowly walked up to where he was sitting, steam coming off him now as he 'Dried' himself.

The dragon was quicker though and jumped up onto the rock and sat infront of her.

Valora barely noticed the pair coming up to her and just concentrated on trying to make the pain ease up, and was struggling with it.

she ran her hands through her hair a few times before trying to massage her scalp, hoping that would help.

it helped about as much as the sea air.....she wanted to sleep, or have some kind of rest.

the pain and the lack of sleep has created large dark circles around her eyes, and her whole form just seemed exhausted and worn out.

what the hell is wrong with my head?

Alexander walked up to her and petted his dragon. he could instantly see something was wrong.
Valora? are you ok? he asked with a concerned tone.

his pet dragon now curling into valora, sensing something alexander couldnt.

Valora jumped at the sudden contact and coiled into herself slightly, but relaxed when she saw who it was and sighed

se quietly petted the dragon and said nothing for a while

it's nothing i can't handle...just a headache

she was lying through her teeth, just so that she could try and figure out what was wrong by herself and deal with it without causeing a fuss

Alexander frowned. valora was a bad lier and today was no different. he saw right through her and shook hixs head.
it doesnt look like nothing, and that must be one painful headache, if you have to bite your lip to keep in the pain.

alexander was always very observant when it came to people and pain. not much could escape him when someone he cared for was hurt or scared.

The dragon greatfully growled and licked valoras hand

she was beginning to grow irritated....wasn't it clear she didn't want others knowing?

it's fine Alex. i'll deal with it

she suddenly lurched forwards clutching her head at a particularly bad throb of pain and hissed harshly, closing her eyes shut as she saw white

Alexander went to touch valora wanting to hold her. seeing her in that much pain and still lying to him was becoming agrevating. didnt she want his help?

Valora! ..... dont lie to me. its obvious you need help, why wont you let me? let me help like you helped me.

Alexander then knelt down so that their eyes where level.
