A New Beginning

You look at the tall, old looking building in front of you as a sly smile spreads across your glossed lips. You start walking in a rushed pace to the door, and open the door without bothering to knock. You take a deep inhale once you get inside, relieved that you're finally here. You can't help but smile a little bigger, and let out an overjoyed laugh of victory. You quickly silence yourself, hoping no one heard that. You take off your headband and run your hand back through your hair, then put it back on.

You readjust your bag, looking between the two hallways, the one on the left and the one on the right. You don't think much of it, and start to the right, the wing labeled Aria.

In the Aria hallway a very large, large black wolf walked slowly. In his maw he held the leg of an elk, and some blood was matted to his fur.

When his nose picked up the scent of the new elf girl he turned around, his silver eyes piercing into hers.

She double takes upon the sight of the wolf, taking one or two steps back. She takes a steady breath in, knowing she can't defend herself from such a big creature, much less outrun it. Yet, she doesn't break eye contact with the wolf, while moving her body to a firmer stance.

This elfling was young, Tahir could tell that much. And she looked more threatened by him then the other way around.

Smart girl.

He dropped the husky chunk of meat on the ground and started making his way towards her. She looked new and lost, maybe he could help her?

"I haven't seen you around here before, are you new?"

The voice would have sounded in Kell's head, this wolf was talking to her. He looked her in the eyes to help her realize this, that the voice she was hearing was coming from him.

She takes a deep breath, then lets out a steady exhale. She can feel her palms getting a little sweaty, and clenches them when the wolf strides towards her. She figures the wolf is a lycan.. But you can never be too careful.

She hears a voice ringing in her head and raises her eyebrows.

"Yeah.." She swallows. "I just got here." She tries to hold back her normally rude attitude, she doesn't want to get killed on her first day.

"I can help you find a room." Tahir offered.

He could sense the fear radiating off of her, and he tilted his head in a friendly manner.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you." He said, motioning towards the elk leg on the floor. "All ready had my hunt for the day."

His tail wagged back and forth and a few snickers rumbled from his chest at his own horrible sense of humor.

"That's a joke." He assured her, not wanting to scare her off right away.

Her stance starts to relax, her posture falling slightly. She adjusts her bag on her shoulder.

"Sure." She states shortly. "Why would you eat such a disgusting animal leg though?" She questions, furrowing her brow. She can't help still feeling threatened.

The large wolf bowed his head down and took the juicy, bloody leg in his teeth again.

"Disgusting? This is so fresh it still has it's body warmth." He said, leading her down the hallway to a room he happened to know had space for her.

She grimaces at the sight of the bloody leg, and the comment about the body heat. Shaking her head, she wraps her arms around herself, and looks to the floor at the droplets of blood hitting the ground.

"Does this place have some kind of janitor or something? Do people do this sort of thing a lot?" Meat has never been her favorite, though she still eats it. The elves she lived with for many years rarely ate that sort of thing, so shes become accustomed to the greens.

Tahir noticed the way this elf seemed to be looking down at him. He'd never really met any elves before, but had heard they were condescending in nature. How disappointing this girl was proving those theories right.

"We clean up after ourselves."

Was all he said, digging his teeth into the meat further. If this girl had a problem with blood she was in the worst place possible.

She lets out a soft sigh, deciding to put her hands in her back pockets rather than crossed. She wonders if this is something she'll have to deal with on daily bases, though not that meat bothers her just..

A bloody, mangled, leg, really? You could at least try to make it look good, though it doesn't matter because shes not the one going to eat it, she thought to herself.

"Mmhm. I haven't met very many Lycans before, other than the ones the elders invited to where we were but.. That was rare in itself. Vampires live here too right?" She needed to find out more about this place.. She wasn't sure if the elders were going to look for her, but she decides it'd be a good idea to ask about the safety of this place soon.

If there was one trait Tahir was lacking in, it was how much he cared what other people thought of him. There were literally only two people on the planet who's opinion truly mattered to him, and this new elf child was not one of them.

The wolf nodded his head in response to her question.

"Yes, they do. There are a few other kinds here too. Necromancers and demons I think. Maybe more, who knows what the necromancers might accidently summon here from hell." He said bluntly, curious to see how she would react.

In a way he was testing the poor girl, but in his mind he was doing it for her own good.

She furrows her brow.

Necromancers? Demons? What kind of place is this?

She had never personally talked to any other supernatural beings but the elves she had traveled with. She saw them from affar, but never approached. It was too risky. Now that shes living with them she supposes its a good idea to hear what this wolf has to say. She did not want to handle any demons. She decides to stay away from them.

"Why would they be so fucking dumb to summon things from hell?" She snaps, then shakes her head.

Subconsciously Tahir let out a little growl of a sigh. This elfling was starting to get on his nerves. He didn't even bother answer her question.

He wasn't a necromancer himself, so how would he know? He had dabbled in the dark arts yes, but necromancy was something he stayed away from. He could fondle in the damnation of his own soul, but dealing with the spirits of the dead and the souls of the damned was something else. Something that Tahir didn't want to get wrapped up in.

The sooner he could get this grumpy girl to a room and get on with his meal the better.

She crosses her arms back against her chest and points her nose into the air. If he didn't want to talk to her, fine, honestly she didn't care. She was never expecting to make friends here anyways, and especially not with some diseased animal carrying a mangled leg. She was never good at being nice to people either, so why bother now?

She just doesn't care.

Shes had a couple people she respected though, none of which shes in contact with now. But who can blame them? She was a bitch, and she knew it.

The wolf lead her down to one of the open rooms, and to his dismay realized that the only open room at the moment was the one that housed the two people that meant the most to him; Arzu and Alexis. That would happen, wouldn't it?

With a low groan Tahir motioned into the room with his head.

"Stay in there for now." He said, and then he turned to look over at the girl with his peircing silver eyes.

"That's where my sister and my mate reside." He told her. His tone was warning though, making sure to give her the point that she better stay out of their way.

Once settled Tahir floppped his large wolf body down in the hallway and ripped his teeth through the flesh of the elk leg. Blood dribbled down his chin as he ate the meat, though he kept his eyes on Kells while he did.

Her gaze turned into a glare when he started ripping apart the meat in front of her. Was this some sort of challenge against her, was he trying to get to her? She takes a steady inhale and doesn't break the stare.

She would be lying if she said she didn't think this was revolting but she damn sure will keep her pride in tact and stare him down until hes damn done eating.

Were Tahir in his human form a smirk would have come to his face. Was she seriously trying to challenge him? Maybe she was just too dumb to understand what exactly she was doing.

"That's your room kid, what're you waiting for?" He asked, his tail thudding up and down against the floor as he ate. He doubted that she really enjoyed watching him eat all that much.

He hated having this bitchy elf go into the same room as his loved ones, but he knew that she was digging her own grave if she were to cross either of them.

Her eyes squinted when he spoke, she was looking at the blood that seemed to be all over his muzzle now. She sure hoped not all Lycans just did these sort of things in the middle of the hallway, its barbarian. Didn't the vampires have a problem with this sort of thing?


"Whatever." She turned, opened the door to her new room and took a step inside. She didn't mean to slam it as loud as she did, but its not like it mattered either way, at least she was away from that repusling show. She let out a deep sigh once she got in and relaxed her posture.

At the sound of the slamming door, the unconscious woman let out a weak whimper, the sound echoing in her brain, making her feel restless. Her thin body was consumed by a heap of blankets, hiding away all but her face. Her face was sickly with pale skin, dark circles under her eyes, and dry lips. She didn't wear any make up and her piercings had been removed for the time being.

Her long black hair was spilled out around her face and over the pillow, tangled and frizzy. In her sleep she let out quiet breaths and small troubled sighs every now and then. Her exhaustion keeps her from waking when Kells enters. She looks like a dying woman.

Kells eyes widen.

Holy shit.

She takes a step towards her, trying to get a better look. She barely even believes this woman is breathing.. She looks terrible. Kells looks back towards the door, pondering whether she should get the wolf from outside. He did say that his mate and sister lived here, right?

She crosses her arms against her chest, still looking at the woman, then looks back to the door. She decides she'll give him just a little warning but only because something looks seriously wrong with her. She walks over to the door, opening it to check if the beast is still out there.

The hallway was empty, Tahir was gone.

The only thing to confirm he was once there was the blood puddling on the carpet from the meal he had consumed.

She looks both ways then closes the door. She sighs and looks over to the seemingly sleeping woman, no intentions to disturb an obviously ill woman. She isn't that heartless.

She looks around for an empty bed, when spotting one she walks over to it and slings the bag off her shoulders. Glad to finally get the weight off, she stretches her arms and cracks her back, then lets out a sigh. She sits down on the end of the bed, looking back up to the woman again.

She swallows and decides to get out of the room and go look around, this place seemed pretty big in itself so she might as well find out where things are.
