Those simple words coming from her, Alexis, almost made Tahir feel physical ache. The kind of aching you get when you feel as if your heart could stop beating in your chest and your breath leave you.

Holding her in his strong, yet gentle embrace Tahir slouched back onto the mattress and rolled them both over so that she was laying on her back. He lay on his side and ran his fingers again through all that long, lovely silver hair.

Leaning down he kissed her lips tenderly. By far it was the most affectionate kiss he had ever given. He wanted to show her in that simple action he felt the same emotion for her as well.

Pulling back so he could look back into her eyes, he said in but a near whisper...

"I love you too."

Alexis had barely realize that she had said that aloud, but at the moment she couldn't bring herself to regret the fact that she had confessed her feelings to him so quickly.

All hesitations she had melted away as he responded, her heart leaping in her chest as she curled up next to him.

The Vampire kissed him back, her lips gentle and tender against his, she truly did love this man.

It seemed funny, such old creatures falling for one another so quickly, but she knew this was real and she knew what she felt because in all her years, she had not felt like this before.

She looked up at him, her gold eyes brimming with happiness as her arms wrapped around his neck.

"I'm so happy."
Alexis muttered her words softly, her hand stroking over his cheeks.

The Persian man held her close as they lay side by side in his bed. He didn't want anything else in that moment. Nothing but to be near Alexis and love her like this.
