| Aodh was growling loudly as he stalked into the bedroom, making a bee like for the bed, waving about a rolled up piece of paper angrily.
He almost dove onto the bed, face buried into a pillow, hands clutching it to his face as he gave an angry yell, the paper crumpling in his tight grip.
Aodh was pissed off. No, he was more than that. He was absolutely livid.
"I can't fucking believe them," he exploded after he had rolled over, fist colliding with the bed to try and relieve some of the pent up rage he felt.
"When I said I was never taking another bounty in Germany, I meant never! Not seven hundred years; never!"
He was too angry to try and make note of anyone in the room. He just needed to rant, fuck everyone else. They could piss off if they had any grip with him at the moment or he'd tell them where to shove it.
"The Malkavian Clan was it. First and last bounty in Germany. I told them I wasn't doing another. I even denied the Noseferatu bounty - The Nosferatu - I could ahve been famous in the Hunter world for that one."
His fist collided with the bed again.
"They dared to try and get me in on another bounty?! I don't care how much it's going for; it's in Germany so I'm not going it! Is that so fucking hard to understand?!"
His rant stopped then, but his fist met with the bed a couple more times and his chest was rising and falling with his heavy breathing. He was red-faced and pissed off beyond belief.

| Aeker had been in the bathroom when he heard the door slam and the angry shouts of Aodh cursing.
He chuckled softly and shook his head, he could only imagine how frightening Aodh looked when he was mad, though he had told the man to come to him if he was ever enraged so he quickly finished getting dressed and opened the door only to freeze when he heard that name.
...Malkavian...
His first bounty in Germany was the Malkavian Clan? The vampire's face went white as a sheet as he stood, gaping at the lycan as he abused the mattress.
"W..What did you just say?"
He stammered slightly, his voice weaker than usual, his eyes went wide as he recalled that day, the flame that had almost taken them, his first taste of the sun as it tore apart his back. How the snow had melted beneath him as he writhed and sobbed.
His breath was slightly ragged as he gazed at the lycan, hoping that he had heard the man wrong or misunderstood.

| Aodh's eyes flickered up to Aeker when he spoke.
"Sup with you? Ya sound like someone's socked you in the gut." Being nice was not on Aodh's mind right now.
Aodh hadn't done any researching into the families that lived in the Maklavian Clan. If he had, he'd know exactly why his boyfriend looked like someone had just killed Maccon in front of him.
...okay, that wasn't a pleasant thought.
Aodh gave a low growl as he sat up, pulling a leg closer and massaging the scarred skin of his calf softly. "Bloody Coilean. No more hunts in Germany," he hissed under his breath.

| Aeker's jaw clenched slightly, his hand tentatively reaching up to touch his shoulder.
He no longer flew because of that day, his wings were now grotesque and he could not stand it if someone were to see them. Even Alexis couldn't look at them.
The vampire cleared his throat as he tried to calm himself. "It's nothing, I just, knew of the Malkavian Clan."
He replied, gazing at Aodh's bright orange hair, as if some part of his brain was trying to put all the pieces together. He knew that colour but it just wasn't clicking.
"I didn't know you hunted in Germany."

| "Oh. Weren't close with any of them, were you?" Last thing he needed was to feel guilty because he had killed his boyfriend's old friends.
As creepy as some of the Clan members were.
He still had nightmares about that one man screaming at him.
The Lycan shook his head. "Only once. I just couldn't take any more bounties after that first one. I've killed vampire clans before but that was..." He shuddered violently.
He couldn't look at anything burning without being reminded of that damned day any more.

| Aeker's jaw clenched again as Aodh spoke, his nails digging into his palms as he tried to remain calm but that day was when everything started.
He and Alexis had almost died, if it weren't for the cliff the sun would have taken them, he could still recall what his father's corpse looked like. The screaming all the people who were trapped inside, not all of them could fly, not all of them were strong like Aeker.
"Close?" He chuckled bitterly for a moment as his lips set in a hard line.
"The Malkavian Clan consisted of a few old vampire familes. The Agathe, Baldur, Gotthold, Malte, Wiebke and Rozen..."
He muttered, looking over at the lycan with dull red eyes. "You've killed vampire clans before but that was.....horrific." He echoed his boyfriends words, finishing the sentence for him.

| Aodh froze, staring down at the blankets, fingers pausing in their massaging of the damaged skin on his leg.
The Agathe, Baldur, Gotthold, Malte, Wiebke and Rozen...
Rozen.
Aeker was part of the Malkavian Clan.
"Yes, it was horrific and I regret doing it as soon as I lit the fire. I saw things in that castle that would drive a sane man mad." He had been mute for days after saying those two words to his family.
It had taken him days to get used to the initial shock of what had happened and he was still recovering from the deep-rooted damage it had left now - seven hundred years on.
"I won't apologize." Apologizing for killing them would sully him. If he was sorry, he wouldn't have built that fire in the first place. If he was sorry, he wouldn't have watched all those people burn to death. If he was sorry he wouldn't have fled the building when the man had let go of him.
He wouldn't give the vampire empty words and apologizing for killing that Clan would just be empty words.

| "I know Aodh.... I was in that fire too. I saw what you saw, only, I was the one the fire was meant for, not the one who started it." Aeker moved across the room, sitting on the his side of the bed and opening his bedside table, pulling out a small leather pouch.
He clutched onto it and hung his head. Was he mad? Yes, incredibly so, his boyfriend had murdered his family in their beds and nearly killed him as well.
But the Malkavian's were not a good coven, the vampires were bloodthirsty and malicious, the worst in the country if not the world, at the time.
Aeker only turned out like he did because his rage was consumed by his sister. He wasn't a violent man, and as such held no value in the coven.
"I don't want you to apologize, but Alexis can never know what you did."
It would break her to learn of this, part of him felt broken because of it. His heart ached for those lost, his parents...and the young ones who never even stood a chance.
There was innocence in that castle, children who hadn't yet chosen what path they wanted in life.

| He shook his head. Of course.
Aeker had the worse situation there. He had been the one he was trying to kill. Aeker was quite literally the victim in this situation.
"If I had known you then like I know you now..." He trailed off, gaze turning to the vampire, silver eyes sad.
The Lycan returned to massaging the skin of his calf. The hand print was still visible if you looked for it. A shade redder than his tanned skin, slightly shiny. Even after at that time, it looked like it was still in its final stages of healing.
His tongue darted out over his lower lip nervously. "I wasn't planning on telling her." God knows how she'd react to that. He didn't want to find out, that was for sure.

| Aeker opened the leather pouch and slid out his father's signet ring, turning it over in his hand to look at the the 'M' engraved on the front of it, before slipping it onto his finger.
"Is that from the fire?" He asked, glancing over his shoulder to look at the hand mark on the lycan's calf.
He turned slightly, looking at the mark and running his own hand over it, the mark was the exact same size as Aeker's hand.
"Seems the fire left its mark on both of us." He spoke softly.

| "...Yes..."
He stared down at the print as Aeker sized his hand against it. If he hadn't seen the burned remains of the body that had done it to him, he'd have thought it had been Aeker, the match was so perfect.
"I was stopped in the middle of the hall on my way out. He clutched my leg and told me I'd burn in Hell with the clan. And then he just let me go." He curled his arms around his leg, staring ahead blankly.
He shuddered violently. That memory still terrified him, no matter how many times he looked back on it.
"Some marks worse than others," he murmured softly. Aodh had killed the man's entire family; that had to leave a much darker mark than a hand print on his calf.
His eyes flickered to Aeker for a moment before turning away again. He wanted to hug the man but he didn't know if the vampire wanted to touch him at the moment.

| Aeker pursed his lips. When he had escaped the castle there were only a few bodies that had made it to the hall.
He remembered his father's body, how his arm had been outstretched as if to clutch onto something. ...Father... Was all he could think as his hand pulled away from the mark on Aodh's leg. No, he didn't want to go there, he didn't want to think about it.
He pulled the ring from his finger and placed it back into the bag, putting it away in the draw.
Aeker didn't want to discuss this, it was too painful.
"Why were you so mad when you came in here?" He asked, trying to steer the conversation in a different direction.

| That question sparked his anger and his cheeks began to slowly darken to a ruddy red.
"Fucking Coilean," he growled darkly, hands clenching into fists.
Yes, Coilean had been the source of his anger. His damned brother had found them a bounty. But this one happened to be in Germany and he wasn't giving Aodh much of a choice for refusing the bounty.
Aodh was stuck between going and behind absolutely useless or staying behind and being shunned by his brother of being pathetic.

| "What has your brother done now?" He asked gazing at the man as he got visibly more riled up. If something was bothering Aodh he wanted to be able to help.
Even more so since it seemed to stem from past events involving his family.
Aeker wanted to touch Aodh, but he look like he might explode if he did, that and he was not sure where they stood.
Aodh had killed his family, though deep down he knew that what Aodh had done, had saved countless lives. If it were to happen now, Aeker probably would have helped the lycan start the fire.
His family was a giant blood stain on the history of mankind.

| He gestured towards the crumpled piece of paper lying close to them on the bed.
The bounty itself was fairly boring. Just a three hundred year old Necromancer gone feral. Easy enough to deal with.
What bothered him was the location.
Germany.
He could take a bounty anywhere but Germany.
"He's got me caught between and rock and a fucking hard place and I don't like people forcing my hand like that."

| Aeker reached over and took the paper, unraveling it and reading it.
"I see."
He muttered, if Aodh's experience of that day was anything like his he could see why he didn't want to do this bounty.
"I don't want you to go." He murmured quietly, it was selfish but he didn't want to be away from the lycan for an extended period of time.
Let alone have the man go away with his brother, he knew his dreams would only get worse if he was to go.

| "I don't wanna go, either," he growled, gesturing wildly.
He didn't want to go, but Coilean wasn't giving him any choice in the matter that didn't end in the already frayed relationship between them shattering to the point of being unable to fix.
The Lycan growled again, hands balling into fists, shaking with the effort it took not to lash out at something.

| Aeker could see the rage rolling off of Aodh like fog, his body shook as he got more worked up.
The vampire could only imagine what would happen if Aodh lost it completely.
He had told the lycan he could look after him if he ever got to this stage, he just hoped he was right.
Aodh needed a release for all his aggression, that was something Aeker could do for him.
He gripped the lycan's hair and kissed him roughly, tugging on the orange locks as he forced the man into the kiss.

| The growling didn't die down but he did return the kiss roughly, his own hands fisting in the vampire's long silver hair and yanking on it sharply.
He was far too angry to play nice like he usually did.
Aodh's sharp canines nipped harshly at Aeker's lower lip as he hissed him, still tugging at his hair.

| Aeker gasped as Aodh tugged on his hair, he knew what he had started when he had kissed the man while in this state, chances were that this was going to hurt, a lot.
He braced himself mentally and smirked as the lycan bit at his lip, he'd welcome this pain if it helped his boyfriend.
Aeker's hands fisted in Aodh's hair and gripped onto it roughly, giving it a sharp tug of his own as he pressed his body up against the angry lycan.

| The growl faded into a pleased purr when the man gasped.
One hand slid from the vampire's hair to curl around the back of his neck, nails biting into his skin as he kissed him deeply.
This wasn't going to be a pretty affair. He was sure at least Aeker would leave the bed with his fair share of bite and scratch marks after this was over. But the thought of the man having so many marks that told the world he was his was more attractive than leaving him bare of marks and comfortable.

| His body relaxed slightly as Aodh's growls died down, he knew the lycan was still mad but he hoped that after this the beast would be quelled slightly.
His neck arched as Aodh gripped the back of it, hissing slightly as his nails bit into his soft flesh.
Aeker kissed him back with more fervor, biting down on his lover's lip as tugging at it before his tongue trailed the seam of Aodh's lips.

| His lip twitched and he gave a soft warning growl at the hiss.
Aodh returned the the extra fervor with more passion of his own, pushing forwards until the vampire was laying on his back.
He swung one leg over the vampire's hips, straddling him as he pulled back to stare down at him.

| Aeker's eyes narrowed as the lycan growled at him in warning, meeting that growl with one of his own.
Sexually he was use to being dominant, it was what he knew and what he was comfortable with, he could not let go of that easily.
He looked up at the wolf, panting softly as the man stared down at him, his eyes still narrowed as he tried to read what the lycan was going to do.

| His lip twitched as the growl got louder.
Challenging the Lycan at the moment was a bad idea.
He was angry and he wasn't up for people going against him. Not now.
Tomorrow. The next day. Any other day he would be the normal, happy-go-lucky sarky Lycan he usually was. Right now he wanted to relieve frustration.
His eyes flickered for a moment as he reached out to grip Aeker's wrists, pinning them above his head. If he tried to fight back, he'd show the man that he had been holding his strength back. He was a lot stronger than he pretended to be.
