Midday Nap

Moe laid curled up on the couch in a light nap.

Usually she didn't nap during the day but Giacinto had come around earlier and they had spent hours talking with each other. It had been tiring.

One hand was curled against her chest and the other laid out on the couch next to her head.

She was using one of the many cushions that usually decorated the couch as a makeshift pillow. She had been using the throw that usually hung over the back of the couch as a blanket, but at some point she had shifted and it had slid off into a heap on the floor.

Zeke had been down at the bar playing a game of pool with the regulars and had finally made it home.

He wandered in and smiled softly as he noticed Moe curled up on the couch in the living room.

Padding over to her quietly he grabbed the blanket from the floor and draped it back over her, kneeling down beside the couch as he gazed lovingly at her, watching her rest.

He loved seeing her like this, relaxed and peaceful, leaning over he planted a gentle kiss on her forehead before stroking a piece of hair from her face.

Moe shifted when the blanket settled over her again, curling in on herself a little.

Moe was generally a light sleeper. She usually woke up if she was disturbed and whoever woke her up would have to deal with a very tired woman that always wanted a hug.

Today was no different.

When Zeke's lips pressed against her forehead and his fingers stroked her cheek, her eyes fluttered open. Her eyes flickered over Zeke's face for a few moments before her lips curled into a soft smile.

"Hello there, sleeping beauty."
He smiled, sliding onto the couch next to her and wrapping his arms around her.

Zeke hadn't meant to wake her but he knew that now that she was awake she probably wouldn't go back to sleep so he may as well join her on the couch.

"Did you asleep well? Before I woke you."

She sat up, rubbing at an eye with the back of her hand, giving a quiet yawn.

The hybrid leaned against Zeke, curling closer to him when she found him much warmer than she was.

Her arms slid around him as she nuzzled against his chest.

"Mhmm," was her tired reply. She may be awake now, but she still didn't have full use of her brain yet. All she'd be able to manage at the moment is grunts and moans and murmurs. Perhaps soon she would tackle words.

He looked down at Moe with bright sliver eyes, nestling in against her as he pulled her close.

Zeke pulled the blanket over both of them, sharing his warmth with her, he'd been out in the sun and the heat still clung to his skin and clothes.

Her reply made him smile softly, clearly she was too groggy for words so he simply brushed his nose against her's and gave her a soft kiss.

She smiled softly as the blanket slid around her and nuzzled closer to him.

Moe's nose brushed again his in return and she gave into the soft kiss with a quiet purr that rumbled in her chest.

She was far more affectionate than usual when she was half-awake.

She still hadn't lost the aversion to touching that she had acquired in Japan. She touched people more often now, but she was still very closed off most of the time.

He purred softly as she nestled in closer, bringing his hand up to stroke his hand through her hair gently, curling the bright orange locks through his fingers.

Zeke nuzzled his head in against her neck, enjoying the chance to this close to her.

"I love you, Sweetheart."
He murmured into her neck softly.

Her purrs increased in volume when his fingers toyed with her hair idly.

The Hybrid's arms tightened around her husband.

She attempted to reply to his soft words, but her attempts sounded more like a drunken slur than a declaration of her feelings. She hadn't quite mastered the ability to speak at this point of waking up yet.
