Alex's Discovery

Alex hadn't been everywhere within the mansion yet so he decided to take a long around. When he went into the large room filled with weapons, his signature bored expression stayed the same, though he was slightly happy that he had found this place. He walked over to one wall, examining all of the knifes that were placed there. He ran his cold, pale hand over one blade, liking the look and feel of it immensely.

Taylor was exhausted after her last encounter with Alexis.....she had decided to retreat to something familiar...but not the forest...she couldn't face it just then

it was holding way to manny bad memories for her

so instead, she had retreated to the artillary room, savouring the familiar smell of steel and oil. something she had been around for many many years now

she had gone there to practive some knife and dagger work, wanting to improve fluidity and working at close range, increasing her strength as well

she was in the middle of practicing when she smelt the scent of a new vampire

he looked bored, but that seemed to be something that came naturally to him

just like she couldn't smile as much as before

she raised an eyebrow as he examined the knives hanging from the wall. wondering if this one had a talent with them

evening she murmured, her hard eyes tracing over the other as she silently evaluated him

Taylor had aged a great deal since coming to this place, and it showed now

there were slight shadows udner her eyes, the grin no longer plastered on her face, hair reaching her shoulders from her much shorter style before, goggles around ehr enck, and a much more sober outfit

above all that though, was her posture. she still stood tall and strong, but she also showed her scars for fights, and she looked a lot more weathered and hardened than before she came to CdS

Alex dropped his hand from the cold steel as a female spoke behind him. With one hand in his pocket, he turned around to face her. "Hey," he said simply. He watched as the female's eyes moved over him. He looked over her shoulder at all of the other weapons around the room. He would have to look at more of them soon. But, for now, he would have to make idle chitchat with another stranger in the mansion. His look of apathy hadn't changed. Alex was getting quite good at keeping his emotions and expressions to himself.

Taylor turned her gaze away from the male and put her knives away

you any good with the knives you were admiring? and don't let me stop you from useing them. i won't speak much she murmured, going over to look at the knives that the male had been looking at and scoffed

second rate craftmanship.

she could tell just by looking at them that the knives were off balance, and using second rate materials.

picking one up, she tested it expertly, doing little flips and tricks with the knife to see how bad it was and if it had any good points

she sighed heavily and put the knife back disapointed.....shitty knife in general

if you wish to use the knives....i could lend you mine. the weapons here are second rate. she murmured, going back to where she was training, going over to a table, and unrolled a canvas sheet to show various weapons inside

take you pick if you want to use them

He shoved his hands into his pockets momentarily, shrugging at the female's question. "Yeah. I have some practice." He did, in fact, use a black-bladed knife that he still carried with him, one of the only things he carried with him, when using his enhanced strength was a bit suspicious. Not that his eyes were "normal" per se. He took a hand from his pocket, wrapping his cold hand around the hilt of another knife.

He took it from the wall, testing its wait in his hand. It wasn't as balanced as the razor sharp blade he had. Alex placed it back, uninterested and unimpressed in the knife now. He thought about just walking away but just stood, putting his hands back in him pockets, standing and looking around at the other knives and weapons.

Taylor nodded

then do you wish to spar? something to pass the time she asked, arching a pierced eyebrow i need to work on my close quarter combat. she muttered

she twisted her knife around her fingers, twisting the blade around her fingers and spinning it

this one wasn't like the others

she could easily tell he was a quiet one and not one for speaking all that much and always seemed to be grumpy or indifferent

but this one had a calm indifference as well, without being overly haughty.

she wanted to study this one and see what he was like

a fight can tell you a lot of things about a person

Alex nodded to the female, accepting her offer to spar with the knives. He wasn't the best with knife fighting, though he did know some martial arts as well, courtesy of his slightly overly-careful father. He looked down at the floor, quietly cursing the English vampires. No, he'd never forget all of the running and pain. Alex shook his head lightly, not wanting to deal with that now, and looked back up to the female vampire.

He wished he had his dark-bladed knife with him, now that the occasion arose. He would have to be sure and get it back. The town he had gotten it stolen in wasn't far from the mansion. It would be child's play getting it back. Though finding the lowlife that took it could prove to be a bit tricky. He went back to the wall, selecting the previous knife he'd sampled. It wasn't the best of quality, but it would do for a short spar. Alex could tell that the female had some skill with combat herself. He walked back to the table, leaning slightly against it, waiting for the vampire to ready herself.

Taylor frowned as the other picked up one of the shitty knives

picking up a third knife, she handed it to him

my blades will easily destroy that blade. it wouldn't be a fair fight. those blades will snap as they're relativly worn out and old. my blades are a much higher quality and new. she muttered, taking away the shitty blade while holding the newer one out to him

i hate sparring with someone who'd be to easy to beat. she challenged with a slight smirk, some of the old mischief she had sparking up a little

once he had the blade, she stepped back and slipped into a ready stance, hands upand holding the knives so they lay across her arms as she gripped them, eyes sharpening and focusing on her new opponent

Alex allowed the female to take the knife he'd selected from his white hands. He accepted the, indeed, newer blade. It did feel better in his hands, as well. Alex listened as she explained the blades. Though, Alex's hand tightened around the hilt of the knife as she said he'd be easy to beat. He made a soft growling sound, looking up at the female, his crimson eyes burning with slight irritation now. "Easy to beat?" As the female slid back into a defensive stance, Alex, still now irritated at the cocky-sounding female, stood up straighter, holding the knife tightly at his side, the blade tip facing upward.

He stood, looking over the female. She'd better have skill if she had already downed Alex's. After small moment longer, the incubus shot out at the female, the knife coming up and around, slicing in the air at the female. Alex would take control of this little spar after being underestimated so quickly.

she gave a tiny smile

with my blades, you'll actually be able to fight now. those other blades would have been your downfall she murmured

she was confident in her strength, but she could also see that this one was no pushover

however, she saw that to rile this man up would ensure she got a proper sparing match out of this one

she easily sidestepped the attack as it was brash, and she had learned a lot about hand to hand over the past few weeks, but this one was fast and had clipped her shoulder

she barely registered it

instead, she moved in with her own attack, batting at the male's arm with her hand so the knife was out of the way. and brought her knee up into his ribs, landing a solid hit, but she wasn't fast enough to move back

Alex smirked as he caught the female's shoulder with the knife. Though this wasn't a real fight and he would have to be a bit more careful. He made a split second mental note to back off a bit...right before he was kneed square in the ribs, the knife in his pale hand knocked back. He clenched his eyes shut for a moment. She had definitely landed that hit spot on.

The succubus was still close, though. Alex took a step back before bringing his foot back, then swinging it around, intent on making contact. Though, it would be lighter than his first little lunge.

the other caught her hips with his foot and it would have thrown her off balance due to trying to recover from hitting the other in the ribs

however, she rolled with it, using it to allowe her to move out of the way a little

getting back to her feet she didn't waste any time to calculate a new rout of attack

moving like lightening, she was suddenly in his face and delivered a hard headbutt

tilting back a little, she used her foot to push the disorientated vampire over

get up....i'm an Elf, so i'm not going to be disrespectful and kick you while you're down she said cooly, walking back a few steps with an easy cofidence and don't be a fool in thinking i'm going to hold back after this point. warm up is over she said, and slipped back into stance
